Could you gently use some tcut on it. The metallic tcut is finer than the normal so would use that. Not too hard and once the scuffs and scratches are smooth give it a polish with the type of polish that has a colour to it. My car is black and the black polish i use is great

Probably because you fell in love with the car as soon as you saw it and your mind was telling you it will be yours whatever .. Its bad how they treated you but life is a learning curve and we all learn by our errors.. At least your happy with the car and thats what matters. Im not sure where you are but i may be close. As said above the boots are normally held in place with wire clips. I would wipe the exposed joint with a rag soaked with wd40 Dry it off and then coat it with LM grease

Not sure. Mines an 08 model. I just bought it from the dealer and be done with it. Im sure its the fault of your car though. These sensors are well known for this fault

You say when you turn the key to arm the electronics it reads 70 psi. If the key is at this setting then that would be the acc setting .. You shouldnt have any pressure at all showing. I had the same problem but mine was off the scale over 120 on acc setting of ignition. Changed the oil pressure switch. Problem sorted. They are known for this happening.

Forget using the rust treatments. None of them kill the rust. The ones that state they turn the rust black is a joke They merely form a skin over the rust which itself turns black. Ive used all of them PS i used to sell all of them too from a motor factors. And if anyone came in for rust treatment my advice was that if theyre keeping the car. Forget treatments. Just get all the rust cut out and replace with new metal

Reading this is of great interest to me as i still have my much loved previous car to my 350z. Its a bmw318is e36 mtec coupe with only 58000 miles .... It sits on the drive watching me go out in the 350 and watches me wash it and polish it and i seriously feel guilty. Is it that im stupid as its really just a piece of metal or is it that a bond has developed between us as ive had it ten years , i should sell it but it all seems a bit sad and maybe im just greedy
