  1. What about when you want to haul ass through a speed camera?
  2. So what is my unmolested 29,000 mile, 1992, 3 door Escort Cosworth LUX: worth ? Radiant Red, Full Black Leather interior, factory sunroof, factory original stereo. No mods, except a stainless steel exhaust, no track days, FSH, every MOT certificate, and every service receipt, Original number plates, Original RS dealership rear window sticker and tax disc holder. Original purchase invoice. Never been out in the rain and stored in heated garage. Perhaps time to cash in: I've got a tenner with your name on it. Can you deliver to SE London?
  3. Please let me never be in a situation where you want a favour from me... I'm now e-stroking yours, via the power of the internet MODS, HELP!
  4. I just done a quick poll out of 8 people, 7 preferred the TT. Say no more. If someone offered me a TTRS or a 350z, I'd be snatching the Audi key out of their pocket before they had a chance to change their, clearly mentally challenged, mind. You could have made that story a lot more believable if you started with 'I was down the hair salon'

  6. To be honest, the only thing I gleaned from that was "I'm getting too old for this game"
  7. Sensible if you ask me... gets rid of all the winter crud that will rot your zed if you leave it
  8. I think all black might be alright, but black chrome or something like that would be my choice for something dark. I would personally steer clear of the carbon dipping
  9. I like the look of this http://www.harlow-ja.../7trackevo.html Bet it goes like the clappers
  10. Nice Really highlights how poo the current F1 cars sound too.
  11. I'd say the most likely explanation in that case is that you somehow lost six inches of height at around the same time that your windscreen was replaced.
  12. I'm not much of a fan of the 370, so that rules that out. I did almost suggest just dropping loads of cash modding my 350 though
  13. The 996 is almost definitely my least favourite looking 911. 997 CS / GT3 all the way!
  14. Welcome. Nice looking zed there. Is that a long gangly aerial I see sticking up though? In which case, the first step would be to get a stubby In terms of other modifications, whatever you want really
  15. Of course, spending every last penny on the price tag of any decent car is asking for trouble
  16. Same as some others, the R35 GT-R just doesn't quite do it for me. I've always liked the R32 - I guess for 35k I could get a tidy one and upgrade it until it was quick / reliable / didn't feel like a shed inside. I'd probably be more tempted by an Audi R8 though (which isn't really available for 35k, but then neither is an R35 GT-R as previously mentioned).
  17. That's not very useful then - you have to wash the car every time you park it and want to cover it? Yes otherwise when the car cover moves when the wind blows it will drag any grit/dirt etc on your car with it, thus scratching your paint. If you use a car cover properly it will protect your pride & joy, ...if you don't use it properly then it will ruin your pride & joy. Balls. I really am going to have to get a garage that fits my zed

  19. But do you mean the height or length of the engine?
  20. You forgot to specify the added bonus that apparently it can be passed off as a bike for parking purposes GLWTS - I'll be trying to resist buying the wing if you end up taking it apart.
  21. Sure, there's a strong argument that it's overpriced, but then objectively justifying the price of any car over 50k or so is probably a fruitless task. At the end of the day, a car is worth as much as people are willing to pay.
  22. Audi has become quite the "brand" to have these days and sure the build quality/trim levels etc are pretty good, certainly better than Subarus, but your right, nothing special about 400hp 4 wheel drive in itself. I was pretty shocked when the Noble M600 came out and it was £200k, i thought the same then, a 600hp+ rwd car with steel brakes and a manual box, hardly ground breaking, but it seemed to get rave reviews so i was obviously in the minority. The excitement about 4WD 400bhp cars is probably to do with the fact that down most roads they're quicker than anything else. That and in terms of pub bragging rights they're fairly high up the pecking order. I think the Noble was exciting precisely because of the lack of gizmos - it was a good old-fashioned supercar. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a lot harder to drive well than a P1 or 458.
  23. Nice for a courtesy car, but they don't excite me at all. I've also come to the conclusion that my zed is plenty fast enough to either kill myself or lose my license, so 420bhp doesn't really appeal either (well, it does, but I'll live without it).
  24. Same here. I don't use mac products - I know they suck, but I guess I just never imagined they could be so terrible that they have add-ons that are only available as malware on Windows I don't think it's the mac product that is giving the problem, its the non mac software being used 'FIREFOX' Personally I recommend using Safari, never had any issues Well obviously I was just messing around, but I use FF on Windows and haven't had this happen since I learnt about malware...
