  1. Decided to give my car a good clean today. The car had been sat on my drive running for about 40 mins. I went to grab some polish from my shed and when I returned, I noticed a tiny pool of petrol near my rear drivers side wheel. It must have just happened as there wasn't much there at all. The leak stopped as soon as I turned it off, so I'm assuming it's a corroded fuel line rather than a tank leak? Thanks
  2. Anyone else find MPSS scary in the wet? I nearly killed myself on a roundabout in a f80 m3. I was driving around 20mph, gave a lil bit of gas and the back end kicked out violently. I'm used to RWD cars prior to TC and never experienced anything like that.
  3. Started my Z up today for the first time in a year. Popped on the jump leads and she fired first time. I almost forgot how good Z's sound. Really glad I didn't sell. Car makes me smile.
  4. I honestly don't think 99% is a assumption. Wouldn't you rather have OEM lights yourself? That goes for any modern car not just a 350z. I assumed you bought them because new ones are extortionately priced. Not because you preferred them. My taste is admittedly very reserved compared to many on here. Getting boring in my old age.
  5. Push for a discount. I ordered a new car (not a nissan) last July. £45k list price after options and I got a £8.5k discount. Let them think you're interested in other manufacturers even if you're not. Tell them you've been speaking to brokers.
  6. I'm sure 99% of owners would much rather have standard. I think you would do well to find anyone on here who thinks they look better than standard TBH. They look very cheap and toy like IMO, but if you like them and get compliments that's fine. Don't be offended by other people's opinion. I don't think they all look "nasty". The depo ones look good.
  7. My point was that they at least don't look bad. Still cheap n nasty.
  8. trouble is they are LHD only I know, but I'd still rather have them adjusted than the others. It's easy to ruin/cheapen the look of a z with some of the lights on eBay. I wanted to upgrade mine to later ones but even the price used is ridiculous. Price of parts is the only downside with the z.
  9. I'd rather have a set of USA lhd depos than those personally. They look really cheap.
  10. New m3/m4 doesn't need mapping. Most drivers need them detuning. Great car in standard spec though.....says the Volvo driver. Wtf was I thinking? The Akra isn't even expensive compared to some of the others. I rember on with adjustable valves for £10k+. BMW's own sport exhaust sounds good. Cheeky bastards should put that on a comp pack. It was the new m3/m4 comp pack that put me of getting one without TBH.
  11. I had one from new for 4 years and loved it. Still miss it. Wasn't quick but it got more attention than any other car I've ever had. Constant compliments at lights and petrol stations. The later model interior that I had is much nicer than the earlier one. It was also the most reliable new car I've ever had. Not a problem. It attracted a vandals than any other car I've had which wasn't good and the tyres were a weird size that no one ever had in stock. A diesel would be wrong in such a pretty car though. Both petrol engines sound really good but aren't the quickest. Makes me smile how they don't have plastic engine covers and are painted red. I was gonna suggest the v6 as a alternative for a 370z but thought I'd get the usual anti Alfa comments and I'm still attached to my old Brera
  12. They are expensive but sound unreal on a e92 m3. Pop up used on m3 forums now and then for a reasonable price. Ya they do come up on the m3 forum but still over 2.5k !!! I thought zeds exhausts were a lot of money , the m3 ones are just stupid ! Wish invidia did a m3 system Z exhausts are mentally expensive when you see what they cost in USA and Japan. Also consider what a 350z is actually worth. Akra are made in Europe and still cost £4.5k. But I honestly think they are worth every penny. Must have for a e92 m3. A v8 that revs that high deserves one. Your car is in a different league to a Z bud and the V8 is no comparison to the type you find in a mustang or similar. They rev so high, so fast. I nearly bought a used new model M3 in October. But I was persuaded that a new Volvo XC60 polestar made more sense for my situation I hated the idea of a turbo charged m3 at first but they are mental. Scary savage for a road car and no 4wd to save you. I love them. I hated the sound at first but that grows on you too. White comp pack deserves a Akra IMO.

  14. I love mine. Bought it to sell on and it's still here 2 years later.
  15. They are both saloon cars, the only thing they share with a 370Z is being overweight. And explain to me how feeling heavy is a good thing, unless youre in a tank? Each to their own but a Holden is a Vauxhall Senator with a V8 engine, an M3 is somewhat more developed than that and it shows in the drive. And interior. And quality. And handling. etc. Anyone who describes M cars as "boring" clearly hasnt driven one, and E9* M3's are now similar money to a 370, same as a Cayman is. Oh, and the BMW and the Cayman will not depreciate as quickly so in effect you could spend more to start with anyway. Maybe Im some kind of weirdo but when I was last looking for a car I drove everything I listed as they were all roughly in the same ballpark pricewise, and like Ekona, I think there are better cars out there for the money. If youre looking at the very bottom end £12K cars then maybe not so much but from £16K upwards theres a load of stuff thats just ...... better. Where did I'd say that the 370z being heavier was a bonus you condescending clown? Ive said on here I prefer both the M3 and Cayman? Where the f**k did I say they were boring? There is no way I would personally buy a 370z. I don't like the lights or interior and it's not a big enough improvement over a 350z. There are many cars that I prefer for the money. However the op is obviously different. I was agreeing that the 350/370z is closer to a mustang or Monaro and nothing like a m3 or Cayman. Anyone who who buys a cheap e92 m3 is asking for trouble. It's not a simple car like a z. A Cayman or boxster pre 09 is even worse. They are badly flawed cars with serious inherent problems. I've driven the last 3 m3 models all of them are much better cars than a Z and should be for what they cost. I also had a boxster s PDK as a courtesy car......and it shits on the 350z and 370z from a great height. All this is common knowledge and doesn't help the op. Who says he likes the 370z and was looking for alternatives. I'm guessing someone who prefers the 370z over other cars would be looking for something that drives similar? The Monaro and mustang drive and sound more like a Z than a m3 does. Auto express obviously agree as I see above they have tested the mustang against the 370z. Maybe if they hadn't put the 370z in group tests with quicker, more agile cars like the boxster when it was released, it would have been such a flop?
  16. I agree with the above. Mustang or Holden/vxr are the only alternative. Cayman and m3 aren't fair comparisons. They're very different. The Z is a mini muscle car. Feel very heavy compared to Cayman/boxster. The thing that really puts me off the 370z is the interior.
  17. There are five coupes in my street, my boss has one, my other half's brother has one and I see them everywhere around town lol. Yeah they are common where I live mate I agree. 3 series coupe is one of the most common cars on the road. I've had 3 and loved them all. Great cars but very common. More so than estates IMO. If I'm honest I'm more of a BMW fan than a jap car fan. New m2 looks fun.

I think that's the roof he made rather than the quality of his fitting. He did say I'd be better off buying a new roof rather than having him make one. £460 for a mohair roof is a good price. Do you know what make it is? I'll end up having mine done local as Swansea is a fair old drive.
  19. They were pretty cheap in the US last summer. There is a long thread on my350z classifieds. Most people didn't buy the under tray which is very expensive and fabricated their own. *edit Just checked the seller was zspeedperformance. Shipping quote was cheap too but I think the v3 doesn't look right without the HR bonnet.

He told me last week he does? £290 fitted for one he makes or £100 to fit a off the shelve one. He also said he hates them and whoever designed the roof wants shooting seems to dislike new mercs and BMW's too, and had a rant about mini cabrios.
  21. Love it. "Chunky women". Definitely not sexist. How is that sexist? It was a accurate, compassionate discription. "Chunky" sounds better than fat. She looked like she visits greggs on a daily basis and spoke like Harry Kane. My point was that she is in bad shape for a regular person let alone a athlete. I have a ton of respect for professionals like Jennifer Ennis who work hard and make sacrifices. Out of shape women chasing a ball around a pitch do not compare. It's disrespectful to the likes of Jennifer Ennis and serena Williams to call these amateurs professional. Do you not think it's sexist when you see airbrushed pics of suzie wolf to make her look way more attractive than she is, to appeal to male F1 fans?
  22. He's right. Not sexist or stuck in a time warp. This country is so "PC" substandard women's sport is forced down our throats by sky and the BBC. Football is a prime example. Sky just informed my Chelsea and Arsenal are playing in the women's cup final. The Chelsea player they had on looked like boris Johnson. Stand her next to a top female tennis player and then tell me she is a professional athlete. Many amateur level guys get up on a Sunday to play football. They will never get the chance to play at Wembley so why should a bunch of chunky, amateur women? I'm not sexist. Just winds me up when I see out of shape amateurs claiming to be professional athletes, and advertising England kits alongside premier league footballers. It's ridiculous. I couldn't beat Maria sharapova in a single game of a 5 set match, I wouldn't win a point. But I know me and a few mates could wipe the floor with Arsenal or Chelsea's women's teams. I have nothing but respect for top female athletes. But they're aren't going to emerge in male dominated sports in which historically women do not participate in.

  24. I find Axa/swift cover much cheaper than any of the brokers on here. Less than half the price.
