  1. Darmo, ive just had this issue myself! I had new belts fit and a new idler pulley. The squealing stopped for a bit but came back again after a month or so upon starting the car. The battery light had started to flicker upon startup too. The car then just cut out on me coming home from 5 a side and wouldn't start again. I then realised my alternator wasn't charing so I have replaced the alternator and its all good now.
  2. Did you ever get around to designing a new coolant tank?
  3. I could be wrong mine's a 2005 but when I replaced it was the full assembly, not available as separate items. When I had mine done it was the full assembly too
  4. I'm not much help in terms of your question, but for ease of others: Link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Silicone-Coolant-Heater-Radiator-Hose-For-NISSAN-Z33-350Z-FAIRLADY-VQ35DE-/222007431129?hash=item33b0ac8fd9:g:~bYAAOSwvUlWqIB3 Photo Thanks
  5. Ive seen these on ebay 222007431129 (on my phone, sorry for no link) They are coolant hoses but they seem really cheap in comparison to Samco and Mishimoto, anyone bought these before, whats the quality like?
  6. I couldnt wait Alex so I managed to source a new one for the same day, thanks though 👠Changing the alternator wasnt too bad of a job. I had to remove radiator fan to remove the alternator which meant draining the coolant and taking the top hose off. I wasnt looking forward to refilling the system but that wasnt too bad either. Ive had a difficult experience trying to remove all air from a coolant system on a past car but this wasnt too bad, all hoses get hot, hot air is blowing inside the car and car isnt overheating so looks good! The 120amp fuse had blown on my battery too so had to order a new one from nissan for £65. Really pricey but you can't buy the fuse itself and had to buy the whole holder as well!
  7. Well I am currently broken down at the side of the road awaiting the recovery truck. I was driving home from 5 a-side and it just went dead, the starter motor is clicking but engine wont turn. Im presuming this is the alternator? Is the alternator just 3 bolts to take off and then new one in? Or do I need to start removing loads of other parts? Ive not looked properly and its dark now.
  8. Haha I wont buy from them but Ill go down tomorrow after work and have them check it for free cheers! I hope its only a battery!
  9. Well I put my multimeter across the terminals and I got 13v. I assumed that was because the car had just been running. Isn't that what a garage would do to test it?
  10. Ive had a new idler pulley and belt fit about a month ago, so would have thought they would be tight? Could the radio be putting extra strain on the alternator? I find it weird how the battery light eventually goes out and the voltmeter then goes back up to 13/14
  11. Hi all I put a new head unit in my car last Thursday afternoon and then on Friday when I start the car the battery light flickers very dimly and the voltmeter is only at 12, so I turned the car off and on again and then it was fine with the voltmeter up at 14 with no flickering of the battery light. It has done this all weekend now, everytime I start the car the battery light flickers and the voltmeter shows 12v, so I just drive it for a bit then eventually it goes to 14v and the light disappears. Is it just a coincidence of it happening around the time of fitting my head unit or is it telling me it is time for a new battery? If it was my alternator, the light would be on all the time wouldnt it? Thanks in advance for any advice Scott
  12. I have ordered all my wires in order to perform this mod when fitting the new head unit. I was just wondering though, If I ever decided to get a different sub and amp and do away with the bose one, would this cause any problems?
  13. Ive just followed this and my sub seems to be working spot on now! I forgot how poor I am at soldering Thanks for the guideðŸ‘
  14. Was so random! And was finally nice to meet you! Lovely looking Zed you've got. Hopefully see you at japfest or whenever youre next up this way!
  15. I saw yours at JAE, thats where I got the inspiration! Id like to see more of them in person I think. Im just a bit unsure still
  16. Does anyone know what the layout might be like? I am wondering where we will be camping and where the cars will be parked etc. Ive got three mates coming to japfest aswell but they don't have 350z/370z (they have japanese cars) so was just wondering if they could park somewhere near us because we are all camping
  17. Youre not too far from me and I have been thinking about these but I am just unsure on whether I would fit it onto my car and then regret it. I have not seen many 350z with them on and thats probably why I am a little unsure.
  18. Has everyone received emails from Japfest now then? Im sure when I booked the confirmation email said that we would receive our tickets no later than 2 weeks before the event...
  19. On the website it says they are released 4 weeks prior to the event
  20. I totally forgot to book tickets for this but my mate won two free tickets through Japday's Facebook page, so i'll definitely be there!
