  1. I had an '07 Focus ST-2 before the 370z. Brilliant car to drive - no problems in 6 years of ownership, great handling, awesome engine (in fact, one of the main reasons I got it was the fact a 2.5L five cylinder engine was a bit out of the ordinary in a hatch and, to me, that enhanced the character). Pretty thirsty though - averaged about 26-27mpg, which is only slightly better than I get now.
  2. Can you tell from the service book (or receipts etc.) what grade of service it got last time around? If this is its 4th, then I guess it is a P3.
  3. As far as I know, the light is supposed to flash when the car is locked - it's just telling you the immobiliser is active. tattooandy67's was coming on while driving, so that's a different issue.
  4. Awesome! Will it run on 95 RON though?
  5. ^ Yeah, Will370z mentioned this a while back; can't really see anything on the 'net about it, but I guess sales don't justify continuing with it.
  6. Depends how you've been driving for the other 15 lights! I don't think I've ever got near the last light without the low-fuel warning coming on, so for me it's probably about 10 miles (indicated anyway)....
  7. Can you replicate it by pushing down on each corner, or trying to rock it? Is the noise definitely coming from underneath the car and not from the wheels/brakes themselves (wheel nuts as previously mentioned, or maybe callipers needing re-tightened?)?
  8. Oh hells yeah! Then of course there's running from the squat rack to the nearest toilet/bin before you unintentionally redecorate the gym floor...! It is quite sad that we've slipped so far as a species that we have to be coached on how to do things that should come naturally, but I do agree it's now necessary in most cases - get fit to run, not run to get fit.
  9. I'm still trying to choose between this and an Invidia. Damn my inability to make decisions!!
  10. I think people tend to use Photobucket to upload pictures. '68 Stingray is such an achingly cool looking car! They definitely had much more bulbous curves at that time.
  11. I definitely prefer the older versions (like this one, I guess?) with the circular rear lights - not as much of a fan of the new one from a styling perspective.
  12. I'd happily saw off my left leg to get one of those. Even if it did mean I'd then have to get the automatic.
  13. As mentioned above, heating alone won't remove the moisture but will help prevent it condensing. I had an Ebac dehumidifier in my (poorly ventilated) flat a few years ago and it worked great - the amount of water they pull out of the air is incredible and some have a hygrostat/humidistat so they can be set to come on when the relative humidity gets too high. As a side benefit, compressor-type dehumidifiers also put out heat due to the way they operate; not likely to turn your garage into an oven, but might be enough to raise the temperature a degree or two.
  14. And I'll send on to ZZZ_2306 once I'm done.
  15. It's actually called Downshift Rev Matching on the auto (the SynchroRev system on the manual also works on upshifts). I guess it's a drive-by-wire throttle, so it can just electronically blip it to make it sound like a real man heel-and-toeing . Don't think it serves much purpose other than that. I'm a bona fide wimp by the way, and proud of it!
  16. It's happened a couple of times with mine too - probably just a dodgy satellite signal rather than a software/maps issue. Out of interest, you could check the GPS info next time it happens and see how many satellites it's picking up?
  17. ...or maybe the next Batman movie.
  18. ^^ I can disable mine though, when I want a reality check to remind myself how bad a driver I really am.
  19. I don't blame you mate; you seem to have had every problem going with yours! I've thought a couple of times that mine might have slipped under acceleration, but I'm always paranoid about these things so could just be in my head. Was anything done with the clutch when you got your gearbox changed? Could it have been damaged as part of that failing?
  20. ...and when they're both going at 30mph, there's very little between them. The manual coupé is quoted as 0.3s quicker to 62mph, but I doubt you'd really notice much difference. They both have their good and bad points so it'll come down to personal preference in the end. For me, it was the manual 'box or nothing - not ready for an automatic just yet. It's a bit clunky from cold, and can be difficult to drive smoothly at low speeds, but once it's warmed up a bit it's very direct and both the lever and the clutch have a good weight. The SynchroRev system on the manual is pretty damn awesome too.
  21. As unfair as this situation undoubtedly is, I think I'd just take it on the chin. Especially since you got away with the "speed trap" incident last month (it wasn't the same coppers this time was it?). Pick your battles, and all that.....
  22. I've had a wee look on the 'net, but haven't tried it myself: Go to SETTINGS > DISPLAY > DISPLAY ADJUSTMENT > BACKGROUND COLOUR then I think you can use the sun/moon button to toggle between day/night mode and tailor individual settings from there. (Found a copy of a US manual here: http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/techpubs/2010/2010-Nissan-08IT-Navi.pdf )
  23. Isn't there a button on the right hand side of the nav console with a picture of a sun and a moon that toggles between them? Mine also changes automatically when the lights are switched on.
  24. Yep, the base car comes with 18" wheels (tyres 225/50 R18 front and 245/45 R18 rear).
  25. Yeah, mine does this too. Don't know if it's the norm, but you're not alone! I had a bit of a look and it seems to be the whole pedal assembly that moves, but I couldn't see the point of attachment. Let me know if you fare any better!
