  1. My point was all the cars mentioned far out sell the 350z, which to most people will look and appear the exact same as a 2003 model albeit a facelift car however for significantly more outlay. To alot of people sadly its not different enough to warrant the extra cost and day to day unless you climb the revs above 6.5k you won't notice a huge difference in overall performance.
  2. Again in the realms of proper competition for a HR, to which sadly all of the below sell really well...... Just ones opinion. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-Porsche-Boxster-3-2-S-Black-Great-Example-/332400938314?hash=item4d64a3cd4a%3Ag%3AJ14AAOSwAr9ZfXrP&_trkparms=pageci%3A79ae0cb1-b1a1-11e7-92d4-74dbd180a6b2%7Cparentrq%3A1feef44a15f0abc05e5b629cfffa8b7a%7Ciid%3A6 https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-3-0-SI-SPORT-COUPE-/382217635268?hash=item58fdf245c4%3Ag%3A~G0AAOSw2DFZq77k&_trkparms=pageci%3Ac3a5c002-b1a1-11e7-a15e-74dbd180d240%7Cparentrq%3A1ff0d91115f0a990a82abc19ffff571a%7Ciid%3A10 https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-Audi-TT-2-0-TFSI-S-Line-Special-Edition-3dr-/263204385188?hash=item3d483431a4%3Ag%3AaT4AAOSw49lZuQZ3&_trkparms=pageci%3A27c0e2ff-b1a2-11e7-9dc4-74dbd1806377%7Cparentrq%3A1ff3692815f0a860eb2fd935fffed585%7Ciid%3A2
  3. For me the 276bhp DE is a bit of a performance bargain, ticking just about every real world box less some elements of practicality. The HR isn't a performance bargain for the cost, as its into the realms of some very serious cars ie 9k+.

  5. Went for a Samsung 50' MU6100 from Electronic World TV. Was hoping to buy from Richer Sounds with their extended warranty, however only their Bristol branch had stock *collection only. So far has its pros and cons against the old plasma, but happy with the purchase. Plasma has better skin tones and I think a glass screen looks nicer. The LED unit wins everywhere else, processing power is fantastic compared, upscaling works really well with 1080p, kinda like 1080p+. The smart remote will take some getting used to mind, but all in good time I guess.
  6. Is it going to be the 'murdered out' look?
  7. Cheers all, will have a good look about and see what's what tomorrow. Don't fancy a new brand telly and will most likely settle on an LG, Samsung or Sony unit. Not much content out there from what I gather, but 4k seems like a no brainstorm if costs aren't too much.
  8. Actually really nice work in the caps, looks trick. But we need to swap out the air filter for......... Or Or at least..... https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/SICKSPEED-HYDROGUARD-MESH-WATER-GUARD-COVER-FOR-3-AIR-FILTER-CONICAL-ENGINE-/371981909590?var=640916940032&hash=item569bd97e56%3Ag%3A664AAOSw~rpZQZxN&_trkparms=pageci%3A81630ed0-aed1-11e7-8334-74dbd180ca82%7Cparentrq%3A0d808f4215f0ab454a1e9d86fffc84b7%7Ciid%3A23
  9. Nice one cheers Alex
  10. So after 6 years almost exactly, our trusty LG 50PK590 has decided to randomly turn itself off, wait and can be turned back on but then after a few minutes off again. This weekend I'm going to buy it's replacement and another 50' unit. Any recommendations? not overly interested in voice control, hand gestures, webcam and doesn't need to have the best operating system or apps as il be using the Amazon fire stick anyways. Budget £500-£600 Bye bye PK590.......
  11. What about on a HR?
  12. Hi everyone Quick question, are the sensors interchangeable? ie if I had a defective back 1 sensor, could a known working bank 2 sensor work fine in replacement for my duff sensor? I seem to remember the sensors looking slightly different, however is this just due to plug access?
  13. Crazy that road sports cars have these on the front axle!!! Madness
  14. Following on from the winter prep thread, today I tackled the front wheel arches. Chassis wise there's a lack of underseal from factory and I'd be looking to address the matter. Used a combination of Bilberry and AG wheel cleaners, Daisy APC, various scrubbing brushes, mf towels, Hammerite stone chip, brake cleaner and ACF50. Also did the wheels while they were off and like a pro didn't take the all important after picture, huff. Weekend gone also treated her to a new coat of Soft99 Kiwami ready for the harsher months. Next up the rear arches and subframe.
  15. Any word from Michelin? This is one of my rears with dot code and no signs of cracking, not much help but.....
  16. Massive thank you to Steve Wick for these reflector decals, cut and fit are perfect Steve goes all colours available as we all know. A1 communication as always, decals were packed with care and sent out promptly - happy now as my DIY efforts needed chucking in the bin.
  17. DE reflector decals ftw, thanx Steve
  18. I'm not a great fan of new look leather, see these time and time again in mates company cars and personal I think they look dry, dead and unprotected. Clearly this is not the case but different people like different things. Like interior trim or tyre dressing, most like a satin look where as I prefer mine to actually look dressed. I know they're not dirty as they've just been scrubbed down and the finish look isn't to everyone's taste, but luckily they only need to appeal to one. Regardless of the product used, I prefer the leather to have some contrast, depth and softness to its appearance. Wheel arches and liners next......
  19. Yes pal you too, take it easy
  20. Could have a sticking brake caliper causing the low whp figure. With the car on a very slight incline, foot and hand brake off will the car roll freely? Abbey uses a hub dyno? so a set figure would be 'added' to estimate the flywheel power not taken away. bhp is always worked out from whp, not the other way round from my understanding.
  21. FWD, AWD or RWD?
  22. I wont pretend to know more than this chap *Jesstzn 40yrs+ experience from the below forum discussion, however he doesn't have an issue with the aforementioned product either - seems fairly knowledge to a fellow hobbyist detailer. In short it does a good job of protecting the top coat of the leather to the desired finish. https://acurazine.com/forums/wash-wax-23/armor-all-leather-gel-care-789919/ Highlights: I have .. for over 4 years regularly on numerous cars some being my TL.. a Ferarri 335Spider ... a Jag sedan ... and an aray of other cars. I pre clean them with a Woollite solution and use the gell and not one has had issues .. The reason I wanted you to elaborate on your reasons is because most of the Armoral fearmongering ( Ugh, I stay far far away from Armor All products. ) is based on wives tales that originated years ago about one of the first products they put out and even then it wasn't substantiated. Leather is a natural product, with a pH of 4.0 and comes from animal (bovine0 hides, which have been chemically processed (tanned) to preserve them. A properly tanned hide (or skin) creates strong, flexible material; resistant to decay. Most leather is tanned cow hide, which are laterally split, rendering an upper (Aniline) and lower cut (By-cast). The majority (95% + ) of automotive upholstery is by-cast polyurethane covered leather, these leathers have aspects of a natural finish, but more uniform in appearance, by-cast will also stretch more than top grain leather and is therefore subject to show creasing. The upper portion is the top-grain, or Aniline, the lower portion is the split or by-cast. This cutting process creates different faces to the leather. The outside face of the top grain shows the natural grain characteristics, but is otherwise smooth, whereas, the underside appears as unfinished or suede Myth buster - many leather products market themselves on how they feed leather. In fact your car's leather seats are first coated with a very fine emulsion to give them the desired colour and then a clear coat. So for best longevity you should be keeping that coating as well protected as possible. These same companies would also have you believe you should feed your vehicles polyurethane upholstery or the car's urethane paint finish with protein, collagen, or exotic oils... eg. Leatherique treatment
  23. Glossy as hell!!!
  24. Oddly always gets good reviews from both sides of the pond. Products used are always a personal preference, I've thus far had no issues and find it leaves a lovely smell and finish to the leather - therefore I find it does serve a purpose
