  1. It's not just British Gas! It seems to have become a modern day culture thing that all companies have stupid answerphone messages with every option but the one you want, and it's nigh on impossible to speak to a real person anymore!
  2. Buy the G60 engined golf off him instead! 😉
  3. Great comments from the guys above. One more thing I would like to add - don't do what my other half did and do a 1500 mile trip on a sports bike as your first time as a pillion! 😳 She walked like John Wayne for a week afterwards 😄

    What a sound!!

    Luuuuuurrrrrrrrvely!
  5. Because of the cost of new headlights if it goes wrong when opening them up! 370 ones are something like £1k each! 😳
  6. Nooooooooooo! 😄 I'd love to lower mine to improve the handling and aesthetics, but it catches speed humps and ramps all the time now! And, can't get a normal trolley jack underneath it 😳
  7. What an absolute pain in the ass! Glad you got sorted in the end, but shouldn't have to have all that hassle.
  8. Definitely take it for a spin, they are great cars. Obviously it's got a smaller more dated cabin, but it is comfortable even on long journeys and more than adequate for long weekends away. They are very very reliable cars. Handling is very good, but can bite on the limit - especially in the wet (lots of them have been pranged this way). Compared to a Z it will feel gutless low down, and this can sometimes be annoying, but when pushing it on it is a really sweet engine. Of course this can be rectified by fitting a supercharger - a JRSC will give ~100bhp more and instant torque from any revs, or a Rotrex will give >100bhp but this is more top end power
  9. By God that sounds good! It's not as quick as a TTRS tho 😄 ha ha
  10. Good work, looking very nice
  11. +1. I've got one I will have a play with you That would be fun, a hairdresser's car V a man's car ha ha .I wouldn't mind having a go in a supercharged Z . Although it would make me want to supercharge mine
  12. Mods4cars - remote control system for operating the roof. €249. Very easy mod to fit, takes about half an hour but makes a massive difference. Can lower/raise the roof as you are walking away/towards the car, and operate it with one touch from interior button rather than having to hold the button down. And best of all, you don't have to be parked up with the handbrake on, you can operate it on the move! I've tested mine at 30mph (only because it started to rain and I was on a busy road in traffic! :-)) and it worked fine.
  13. 😳, I don't suppose there was figures for years 2010-2012
  14. The blue one in the second video has a stage 1 remap, no other mods So technically this.... The APR Stage I ECU Upgrade gives you higher peak numbers of 410 horsepower and 447-ft. of torque, and gains of up to 76 horsepower and 95lb-ft are available throughout the power band! Not bad for £1,200 + vat. Why the hell didn't Nissan fit a turbo in the beginning. Obvious because of the GTR, but really, the 350 would have been the one to beat. Rather than being the underdog. But then looks and charisma stand leaps and bounds above Porsche, Audi and Beemers. No,technically this. . . . "The blue one in the second video has a stage 1 remap, no other mods". I didn't quote power figs or manufacturer. If it helps I do believe that Harrison's car (the blue one in the 2nd vid) had a Revo stage 1 remap and was ~400bhp. Most of the stage 1 remaps (Revo, APR, MRC etc etc) will give ~400bhp on a TTRS with no other mods. I don't know if my posts are being misinterpreted, I'm not trying to promote the TTRS as a better car than the Z, I own a Z! I've been purely responding to the OP's question about how fast was a TTRS with facts backed up with experience of owning one. I was just trying to gauge a position of likely power bonus from stock but still 400 or 410 as above isn't going to make much difference. Fact is the TTRS seems to perform VERY well in those vids, more so than the 400bhp or the important factor the torque. It seems to be making more of a dance than a stage one from those vids. The GTR should have walked all over the TTRS and that particular GTR is not shy of any mods. Visually the vids don't add up. Ah, I see. The stage 1 remap does actually make a big difference in performance. The other thing to bear in mind is that Rs in the video is an auto and the launch control on the Ttrs is reputed to be one of the best available (apparently). As people have so rightly stated - the GTR would catch it and overtake it. ;-)
  15. Has anyone seen this? Bit of an eye opener, and worth bearing in mind if you sell a vehicle in the future! http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/scots-biker-insurance-hell-after-4141840

  18. Very true, does make me chuckle, if you dare to mention that a Zed isn't that quick you get all sorts of abuse on here, but mention a quicker car and all you get is 'it's ugly' I would imagine the TTRS is infinitely easier to drive quickly than a Zed, that doesn't make it more fun but it does make it quicker in the real world There is no question, Z's (50&70) are without doubt better looking than the TT. And yes, the RS doesn't look much different to a standard TT, especially with so many now adding RS spoilers and front grille. For the majority of us 'average' drivers the RS is definitely easier to drive fast in real world conditions, however the Z is much more involving and enjoyable. Both very good cars in their own right, but very different. Posts of this nature are always going to split opinion, I'm sure if the same post was put up on a TT forum it would get a similar response but in favour of the Audi
  19. Another thing to bear in mind is that lots of them are chipped, which with no other mods will give it ~400bhp!
  20. +1. I've got one 😉
