  1. Very sad for those involved ~ my thoughts are with the young girl who will have to live with this for the rest of her life and the instructors friends and family.
  2. Some good prices on that site ~ I use the GTechniq drying towel but I might give their I4D Uber Blue drying towel a go next time as it looks the same & is slightly cheaper.
  3. So sorry to read this news about Tia Matt. My thoughts are with you ~ don't really know what else to say. Heart breaking.
  4. ^^ Lol. I meant like wheel arch liners, exhaust pipes etc. Not on my Mrs.
  5. Definitely replace the mitts & drying towels for sure. I always keep the old ones for using on dirty jobs.
  6. Very nice and the flip key is a great idea ~ wish Nissan had done it though to save us the bother.
  7. It's good practice to replace the washing mitts & drying towels quite often depending on how much they are used. Any pics of the marks/swirls? Do you use a round & round method or straight line (back & forth) when using the mitt/shampoo? Just curious as I had heard it's best to go back & forth in straight lines to minimize any chance of swirl type marks. Hopefully ilogikal one will pop in here as he's bl**dy great at this sort of thing.
  8. There is a fuse for the horn ~ believe it's in the battery compartment bit with the fuses in there (15amp). That would be my first idea to check. Otherwise it might be a lose wire in the steering wheel, faulty ground or (unlikely) both horns have simultaneously failed. After you have checked the fuse & if it's ok then here's a guide on how to get at the horn wires inside the steering wheel; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/32500-how-to-remove-the-steering-wheel/ Some more related threads; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/83771-steering-wheel-horn-faultybroken/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/42823-horn-wont-work-fuse-is-fine/ http://my350z.com/forum/maintenance-and-repair/240982-horn.html Hope that helps a little.
  9. Sorry to read this Matt ~ thoughts are with Tia. Good luck.
  10. ^^ Seriously though the Alfa look's in good shape and it has an aggressive front end.
  11. You have to press the horn pretty hard. Have you tried giving it a real hard press? Cruise control I have no idea I'm sorry, ...never used mine but the instructions for it are in the manual.
  12. Fyi ~ some HR owners from what I've read have upgraded their CSC. Believe it is this one used in the below link. Link: https://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=4592 Could be a worthwhile investment by the sounds of it as the OEM one doesn't seem up to the job, ...unless it's something the Dealership are doing wrong each time.
  13. and you know that because.................... I occasionally pop out and join them... "Incoming!!"..
  14. Not foolish at all. It's basically to do with the engine code names. 2003 - 2004/05 have the DE engine (VQ35DE) 2005/06 - 2007 have the RevUp DE engine (VQ35DE RevUp) 2007 - 2009 have the HR engine (VQ35HR)
  15. So true ~ love the odd night drive especially when the weathers good.
  16. Best have the codes read then to see what fault code/s it's showing. Worth noting though that some could be old codes which haven't been reset so I'd have them read, then do the ECU reset and then re-read the codes when the fault comes up again. Fault codes listed here; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/81962-350z-fault-codes-in-pdf/
  17. Welcome aboard Craig. Buyers guide here; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/77426-buyers-guide/ New members/potential owners guide here; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/22880-guide-for-new-memberspotential-buyers/ 350Z Service schedule here (useful for when looking at cars to know if it's been serviced correctly); http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/31110-service-schedule-for-a-350z/ They are reliable as are most cars when maintained correctly. FSH is a must imo when buying a used car. They should only be run on Super Unleaded so avoid ones that have been run solely on 95 octane fuel. Corrosion wise: check the rear quarters around the wheel arches/fuel filler flap, OEM exhausts rust especially around the back box/pipes etc. If you can afford the HR engined Zed over the DE variants then I'd go for it but there isn't a lot of difference performance wise imo although the interior/exterior updates are better on the HR. Fuel can be heavy depending on your driving style but what 3.5 L V6 isn't? Currently I'm seeing around 23MPG on my daily commute back & forth (5 miles each way) to work although that is solely urban driving in stop/start traffic.
  18. Not sure locally to yourself but Horsham Developments are only an hour away from you. Link: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/contact_us.php I use a good independent garage locally for minor things (MOT, exhaust fitting etc) and Horsham Developments for everything else. They did all the fluids on my Zed and more (new discs/pads/UpRev etc) when I hadn't had my Zed long. Highly recommend them tbh. They're also a trader on here; http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/141-horsham-developments/
  19. Sounds weird but I'm pretty sure that I have heard of this happening when the brake fluid level is low ~ check your brake fluid level and ideally top it up to the maximum level. Then you can do an ECU reset (AKA the pedal dance) to see if you have cured the problem. ECU reset procedure: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/53148-how-to-ecu-accelerator-pedal-throttle-valve-resets/ Similar thread; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/68472-brake-warning-light-esp-light-and-vehicle-skidslip-light-on/
