  1. So with that sort of power it may well be worth investing in some decent brakes now rather than later. As I mentioned to put a new big brake disc kit on the front & rear you're talking around the £2K mark depending on the pads you choose to go with the kit. For example: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_169_293_463_464&products_id=25347 You could always do just the fronts though which would make it cheaper to do but personally I'd want to do the backs as well. Another forum trader here that does big brake kits, Tarmac Sportz; http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/products.aspx?CategoryId=d3c121aa-398b-47ec-9963-7c0f34e0d675 If you decide just to stick with the Brembos and change the discs/pad/brake lines/fluid then there are plenty of forum traders on here to help you with that as well. The Cougar Store, Clark Motorsport and Horsham Developments as above just to name a few. I currently run EBC Turbo Groove discs, Ferodo DS2500 pads, Goodridge braided brake lines and Motul RBF600 brake fluid. This works well for me currently as a fast road set up but I'm yet to test out how they perform under sustained hard use as such on a track day. Motul RBF660 brake fluid would probably be better for sustained track day use. Again though Lewis it does all depend on how hard you are on the brakes, some of the other FI guys on here run a similar set up to me which is working for them but then others have or will be upgrading to big brake disc kits. With more power comes more speed so obviously you will be entering corners from straights at higher speeds meaning you will be needing to brake harder. If you plan on keeping the car for a long time, increasing the power further and tracking it regularly then personally if you can I'd be looking at a big brake kit.
  2. ^^ Nice Matt. Hope you get the engine sorted soon btw.
  3. Now I know that's not true ~ I don't like cyclists much so have stayed well clear of that thread.
  4. Try a PM to zmanalex as I'm sure he'll have some in stock. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/user/9648-zmanalex/
  5. I have the Invidia Gemini Hooch and I can assure you they don't have burnt tips if you get the stainless steel rolled tips like I have. Link: http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/Invidia_350Z_GEMINI_ROLLED_STAINLESS_STEEL_TIPS_CAT-BACK/HS02N3ZGIS_.aspx Also I haven't experienced any "rasp" or "drone" with the Invidia system & my Berks HFC's. Just a nice deep V6 rumble imo. Personally if you can change your exhaust system to something your happy with before the remap you will save yourself the hassle of having to get it remapped again if you do decide to swap at a later date. Plus you know what this place is like as you can usually always sell on a good exhaust system to recoup some of the cost of the Invidia if you do decide to get it.
  6. Lewis it really depends on your driving style and what you are using the car for. E.g. Track days, fast road or just tootling back & forth to work. Also depends on how much you want to spend. Big brake kits are generally big money with a new front & rear combo costing around £2K at the lower end of the scale rising to thousands & thousands for a race ready set up. If you get them second hand then obviously it won't be as much but still you're looking at £1K bear minimum I would say. If your car is just running standard power or close to it then a good set of discs, pads, braided brake lines and decent brake fluid will be more than good enough for most applications ~ even track use depending on the discs/pads/fluid you use. If you want people to recommend you something to give you ideas then you need to let them know as I stated the use it's for & your budget.
  7. It is a lovely Zed Will. You really need to change your signature now though Will to reflect how good it looks after your new mods.
  8. Pretty sure Whacky Will posted that before some time ago. "Maybe" Still good fun although I was pretty boring & just lowered my Zed to see what it looked like.
  9. I totally understand his enthusiasm and probably why he's leading with his heart rather than his head as that car falls into his budget but honestly I think he'd regret buying that.
  10. Ok so just now on the GTR forum a new member has signed up. He was there on track at the same time as this idiot and this is what he has to say about it all... To me reads like the GTR driver is your typical roid head (steroid user) bullying people in person & trying to do the same on track. What a w**ker.
  11. Sorry but look's like an absolute dog of a Zed. Can't he up his budget just a tad? I mean if he can get to £6K he will be looking at a much better Zed which in the long run will be better value imo as less likely to fall to bits on the way home as that JDM one looks like it might. For example both these Zeds are at £6250 but possibly lower priced (£6K) after some negotiations; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/90653-for-sale-54-uk-gt-spec-6250/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/91255-uk-gt-77k-for-sale-6250/ Just an idea.
  12. Some things that his mate is saying I do understand but it's still bs. Back when I first started track days you didn't have to wear a helmet in "tin top" cars but you did have to obey certain rules which where all laid out in plain English for everyone to understand at the briefing which you had to attend before being allowed on track. I'm sure the GTR driver would have had a briefing before going on track and been informed of certain rules/regulations including that you do not overtake in the braking zones or on corners, ...& yet he does. That by far was imo his most dangerous move and probably ultimately why he collided with the Mclaren later in the day.
  13. Well it just got a bit more interesting on there. His mate is on backing him up and has posted the following...
  14. Well that's one way to stop someone dinging your drivers door.
  15. I knew Parello was eyeing up a 370 as he said he had one in mind but never thought it would be yours Ebized. I'm sure he'll enjoy it and it will be interesting to see what you get to replace the Zed.
  16. Definitely should have been black flagged for sure. I found a bit of info about the crash he caused but not a lot. It mentions it on Jalopnik. Link: http://jalopnik.com/worst-track-video-in-the-universe-proves-why-people-hat-1647192131 Keep an eye on that GTR thread though as one of the members apparently messaged the guy (read that as Tw*t) in the video to see what he has to say about it all.
  17. I think I might get an exhaust first, I don't want it boy racer loud, and are HFC worth it? And do they pass emissions? Why can I see my welcome thread entering the green room #teamtarmac Contact a guy called Chris from Tarmac Sportz ~ he does everything you'll ever need. Link: http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/nissan-350z.aspx Edit: GIXXERUK beat me to the punch.
  18. Utter t**l. Should be named, shamed and banned from attending any track days again ever. P**s poor driving and not surprised he binned it into someone else's pride & joy after watching how he treated the other track day users.
  19. ^^ Make sure you only use Super Unleaded or it could cause engine troubles in the future.
  20. Lol. Welcome aboard grundy. New members/potential owners guide here; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/22880-guide-for-new-memberspotential-buyers/
  21. ^^ Also he's added weight with the compressor pump/tank & associated kit to get the bag system to work.
  22. Just in case you don't know who Chris at Tarmac Sportz is K13RKL here's his website; http://www.tarmacspo...fd-a668cc92c13e Also he's a forum trader on here so as hensh mentioned best bet is to send him a PM (private message). Link: http://www.350z-uk.c...-tarmac-sportz/ Edit: Welcome aboard btw.
