  4. Apparently if I can read a dipstick according to Halfrauds I can recharge my aircon system with a £34 kit which looks like a bottle of R134 and a valve and hose Anyone tried it ?
  5. My Maisto model is a 1/18 S tune so will take a few pics from all angles and post - not ideal bur may give you a steer
  6. When I were a lad, in the back of our zed we got 9 suitcases a small particle accelerator, 2 casks of Watneys Red barrel and the band of the Parachute Regiment Tell the kids these days - they won't believe you
  7. +1 And already have the Maisto model !
  8. Finding similar issues the allow access is a real pain. Found I get less hassle by switching on unit - connection phone - start radio app Also wasnt impressed had to cough up £40 for the apple adaptor to make it work Unfortunatley the unit locks up far to often which mean you need to unplug your iphone which also means you are then committing a motoring offence if like me its not fixed in a base One thing to note is that that there are 2 usb connector that look identical but one does power only so if you do disconnect make sure same one is used. The free satnav app works well, The media player app is very tempremental and sometimes work some times doesn't. The bluetooth quick play always works but tracks are random. The firmware on the unit is not good - If anyone had a BlackBerry Storm then on a par with that for crapness. The unit is really screaming out for a firmware update to fix this . A another minor thing that annoys me is you can't change the from the 4 supplied backgrounds - or if you can then I can't find out how. The radio is good but for £400 notes this is distinctly below average due to the limited apps and functionality thereof Looks good - but reality is Prepare to be underwhelmed And if anyone can tell me how to get my ipod classic wired in them be very grateful - tried all combinations of wires and the ipod icon stays greyed out. Probably need another adaptor - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  9. Long Terms normally bought for practicality 2.2 kids etc but over the years inc hire cars not sure of exact model but they were all new : - Ford Mustang - very meh...maybe its the pretty much 65 mph throughout the States that we all stick to as their cops are armed but for performance and ride give me a Zed anytime Vauxhall Astra - sports diesel - cracking little car - very nippy, comfortable Hyundai i30 - good spec, good ride - nice car Ford Mondeo Estate - (Champions League spec!) HAd this for 2 weeks in Italy - lovely car to drive very comfortable and quite nippy around the windy roads on thge Amalfi coast Chrysler Cruiser - fun car has this in the States although small boot for its size Toyota Hilux - my first company vehicle in PNG - solid great suspension and trust me thats needed - bit sluggish Nissan D40 Navarro - 2nd PNG car Amazingly quick for a UTE - suspension is not as good as the Toyota but wonderful 2.5 turbo engine
  10. Have US spec on my JDM as well but also carry the legal sizes as a plea of mitigation - unlikely to succeed it seems
  11. I'm in. Group buy ! Would be extra sweet if some way we could sneak in a small forum emblem into the design as well
  12. Keep reading the forums mate. It will all become clear. Try the guides first

    Wheel Refurb

Thanks - it looks a lot better in the flesh - the photos don't do it justice - not bad for £220 and mobile service so he comes to you
  14. I have a low mileage 2003 JDM and very pleased with it - I am the second UK owner, The post linked above is pretty thorough - Spec's on the JDM can differ as I recall most UK standard bits are optional extras on the early Z33 Fairlady- like Brembo brakes for example. I have have swapped my centre gauges for UK spec as I wanted the running info in miles not km's, the satnav is all Japanese and did consider popping in an old XTrail unit but the cost (£250ish plus fitting and doesnt do postcodes ) versus what you can get get a Garmin for means its was really not required. I must admit I prefer the rear box number plate recess and having a few buttons in Japanese in the car just gives it a bit of character. No issues at with servicing and modding. Resale on imports vs UK spec isn't that different now but read the forum guides - ask questions, but essentially they are very similar so all down to personal taste. Whichever one you get, as long as have done your homework to decide a Zed is for you - you will not be disappointed and join the rest of us with fixed grins on our faces everytime we start the engine or look back in the carpark and think - thats mine ! Beware Zeditus Right..... time to pop a flare
