Be interesting to know how you get on but agree with BM that for things as crucial as something that keeps your wheels on your car use a trusted supplier.

Sorry, should have made that clear. I have a cheap ebay camera and it's been fine for well over a year.

Yes the ebay versions are fine, i have an Alpine, will check model number tomorrow but that looks very familiar and it will come on if you select reverse and the aux input.
