  1. Getting the windscreen replaced doesn't add any marks to your insurance record or affect your NCB
  2. I used autoglass and had no problem, it took one phone call. £75 if I remember correctly.
  3. DashCommander has a debug feature, so I was able to send my diagnostics off to the app designers. They said the OBDII reader is toast. They basically said there is a ~20% failure rate on nearly all sub £5 readers they test.
  4. I work for an energy supplier so we get most of the electric vehicles in. They wouldn't let us drive the i8, but I got sit in it . I took the i3 out for a spin and found it a really enjoyable experience (for what it is). Comfy, really quite, and quite rapid acceleration up to ~30mph, obviously floored it as soon as I was out of the car park. If I was looking for something to get around town in I'd consider buying it for the wife (if I had one).
  5. I'm having problems getting mine to connect. I've got mini elm one shown below. I've paired it to my android tablet and the connection starts up but has an ODBII protocol error. I've tried dash commander, carista and torque and all have a similar connection issue. Any Ideas?
  6. As above you won't be paying for it for anouther 9 months, however you're liable for road tax on the old car until the dvla process the change. This can take 3 months. There was a long thread covering this a few weeks ago, it was called something along the lines of dvla thieving scumbags.
  7. I was going to start a thread like this soon. Basically I want the GTRD's in 19" (I know they don't come in 19"), black deep disk 5/6 spokes, so possibly settling on the Varrstoen ES2. Was a bit worried about the rubbing on 19"'s though. I'm stock and don't really car too much about the stance. I don't want to be messing around with rolling the arches or suspension at this stage. I could stretch to spacers if their is an issue with Brembo clearance though.
  8. I'd blame the previous owner of that car And like that he's gone.
  9. My car came with 2 keys but the second key fob has never worked (actual key works though). I've changed the battery but no luck. I'd be intrested to hear if trying the reprogramming guide on the 2nd key would impact the first keys usefulness.
  10. Are your mirrors okay but the casing is broken? I've got a pair of cases (no mirrors), they are silver but its pretty easy to paint them. I brought a spare set to paint black then swapped them for my silver ones, so now have my old ones spare. I'm an idiot when it comes to cars but managed to get a good finish on the ones I painted.
  11. That's cheap, the mirror on its own is £40 to replace!
  12. allways helps to post some pictures with the wheels fitted to the car
  13. Looks great. That front number plate position cant be legal can it?
  14. Try gumtree, plenty of garages for rent. You may get lucky with a large one. Most are looking for monthly rents but I'm sure you can get a deal for a day or 2.
  15. Yep, I thought this was either going to be about launch control or the drug driving limits.

  17. I'd stick a post up on MSE (moneysaving expert) in the mortgage section. Plenty of really knowledgeable people on there
  18. Must have been on the same track day, I agree completly. I also drove a DB9, the ferrari was bar far the best drive.
  19. There is someone on here with a silver car and the strosek (original not copy) in black. I'll see if i can remember who it is. I'm thinking its was the guy with the candy red wheels. EDIT... Looks like it was A9H-RX The pictures in his build thread have gone down, but I picked this up from his Instagram. Any idea what those wheels are?
  20. Free delivery from china... I ordered one for £3.38 but I've been waiting since 12th of November for mine to arrive they sent another one out around the turn of the year, the price was £7.45 by then. Just checked now and its £9.99.
  21. I'll take the rear wiper motor. Mines just started making a horrid noise (presume its the motor!) and for £15 its worth a punt. I don't need the arm. Pm me your details
