From what I can remember when I changed my head unit it was simply a case of removing the 6 screws detailed in the guide and giving the box a good wiggle.
Halfords have their Autoglym Perfect Bodywork and Wheels Gift Collection reduced from £47.99 to £20.00 for today only. That's a saving of £27.99(58%). Maybe someone could stick up a link please.
Halfords have their Advanced Professional Screwdriver Set 8 piece reduced from £15 to £7 at the minute in store and online ( or £5 if you have O2 priority moments ). Unfortunately no ph screwdrivers in set. Maybe someone could post up a link please.
Also 10% off workshop tools using code B16AUD09.
Hopefully a bit of use to someone.
From my previous experience of "importing" a new car from Southern Ireland to Northern Ireland I didn't have to pay vat at the Southern Ireland rate ( which was very high ) but instead at the UK rate. As Coldel has said unfortunately Southern Ireland is not part of the UK so you will definately have vat to pay. If u were buying the car in Northern Ireland then u have nothing to pay at all except a ferry across the Irish Sea.
I'm planning on doing a bit of undersealing to my 03 Z. At the minute my plan of attack is
1 Brush off any flaky bits.
2 Treat with Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 ( rust converter )
3 Spray with Bilt Hamber Surfex HD ( degreaser )
4 Treat with Bilt Hamber S50 ( wax )
Would welcome any other views or suggestions as I'm no expert on this front!
Just noticed Halfords have reduced the price of their Michelin programmable tyre pressure gauge from £24.99 to £5 and if u use discount code B16WT04 this reduced further to around £4.50. Maybe someone could put up a link please.
Regards your headlights, were they treated with a uv sealer after being polished? If not I can recommend the 50ml bottle of uv sealer sold by Glass Polish Ltd via Amazon. Sorry I can't seem to put up a direct link via my iPad.
Just noticed what looks to be Steve's old 350z on Gumtree. Maybe Steve or somebody could confirm and stick up a link please. Absolutely gorgeous car regardless.
Doesn't look too bad to me. Can u just set the gps connector back on the board and then just melt the solder to make the connections. Are there only the 2 connections,1 at the back and 1 on the right.
G.L.W.S.
Stunning example. Lot of car for the money.
Hope u are going to stay on the forum as your advice/help has been invaluable to lots of people including myself.
Best of luck for the future.
Yes James. With a/c on both fans should be operating. I had the same problem as you a few months back. There are plenty of threads on here with info if you want to do a diy fix.
