  1. ...and when they're both going at 30mph, there's very little between them. The manual coupé is quoted as 0.3s quicker to 62mph, but I doubt you'd really notice much difference. They both have their good and bad points so it'll come down to personal preference in the end. For me, it was the manual 'box or nothing - not ready for an automatic just yet. It's a bit clunky from cold, and can be difficult to drive smoothly at low speeds, but once it's warmed up a bit it's very direct and both the lever and the clutch have a good weight. The SynchroRev system on the manual is pretty damn awesome too. The SynchroRev system on the auto is pretty damn awesome too..... Even better with a manual as you choose when to downshift and do it a little early for the extra roar - it always going to make you smile and the misses scowl
  2. Oh no 7000 isn't enough for a hot honda, that's a shame as I really miss a high revving engine and especially when the Z top end really dies out rather quickly. I agree on the looks I really like it but not sure if I would want to drive it all the time. Not heard it but I will keep an eye for the Spa videos, if any. Quite content wih my Z may even end up being my longest owned car.
  3. So I had my car in for the steering issue to be checked following a few times of causing trouble and all down to the car battery - so no big problem luckily. Cleaning my car the other day and I know every mark on it and there WAS a scratch on the mirror from the previous owner. It's now disappeared and a rather new mirror cap appeared looks like they knocked it and replaced it. For once I don't mind
  4. I have done silverstone GP and North Weald a few times in the Z (from seeing yours actually). I'm the same, I'm not fussed on times right now jut staying in one piece and having fun. The new CTR looks fantastic and engine is meant to be a 2.0 VTEC and turbo. From looks I would say possibly but may wen too much for when it would be time to get one.
  5. That sounds like quite an experiance and expertly handled with some showmanship. Big fan of Hondas and still miss that VTEC. May pop over there on the 3rd and have a watch and see if I could get the bottle to try myself. I went to the F1 historic masters event the other week and sadly see a couple end up in the gravel.
  6. All user PC's at my work have Sophos and nothing has ever come through with the exception of someone not having updates and crypto locker doings it's stuff on his PC. Pulled the network cable before it got too far and luckily it actually errored locking shared drives! As said best defense is not going to sites via dodgy email links and staying off dodgy websites with links. Done several hacking courses and it's very easy, more so than you think. For example I can send you a link to Facebook and soon as you do I will get access to your account.
  7. My 5th ever 370z spot tody while sitting at work See you coming down Bell lane towards Spitafields market just gone 4pm. Car looked great and nice and shiny
  8. Was at brands the weekend and a lot of people said it's much more slippery compared to other tracks such as silverstone, so just be careful. Think you are not far from me gives dates. ( PM if you like) and my friend may be able to able to come over am get some nice pictures of you
  9. Well as you asked I had a google while on the train. I have the European close up in the uk at Goodwood several times and 120 times better in person. I also see a full colour coded in Thailand flying past in a taxi (nothing is father than a taxi) and I much preferred it. Here's a few below -
  10. 4k since the clutch change. 1st 1k was a bit heavy but after that it's been perfect
  11. Sounds like the release bearing - a common fault. Mine went while in warranty at 28k and replaced FOC. Get it to a dealer and if out of warranty and have full history see what nissan UK offer you. Best if luck!
  12. Cake, mate, it was you that first showed it to me some time last year and ever since then I knew it was the spoiler for me. It gives the perfect balance to the car for me. That's all I need along with some OEM plash guards and I'm done, aesthetically wise. So yes, you sir, are a bad boy and a good lad all at the same time . I'm the sexy little devil in your ear making sure you get this duck tail I was shocked when I ordered and the chap knew where I lived as he hadn't lived too far away a few years back! You won't regret it, just don't get them to paint it as it just doesn't work. I took the chance going by US forums and no one complaining but match to mine was shocking but they dealt quite fairly about it.
  13. These make a big difference in appearance and recommend it
  14. Problem with this car is that it's NA, very well built and quite rare in the UK and all means that mods are only available from proper tuning houses and all equates to a great cost. Performance wise I have dual silencers and HFC's, not really felt a performance gain but I'm not the person who can drive this to feel that, but the car sounds like a real V6 over 3000 revs and makes me smile everytime. That's enough and 330 BHP is enough to Brag about. I'm the kind of person who has always sold a car between 10 and 12 months for something better. But in the case of the Z I have had for 16 months and no intention of moving on unless I want to add 16,000 for something different not always better.
  15. Peak, To answer a couple questions - a V6 engine has two engine blocks and contains 3 cylinders. Each block has an exhaust manifold that then goes into a catalytic converter, then a Y pipe (now joining either side), then mid pipes with resonators (noise resuction and finally into a single back box (silencer). With an NA engine is all about breathing more effectively. Best bang for buck is a high flow cat (HFC) which is 200 cell instead of the standard 400 cell cat fitted as standard. This allows air to exit more quickly and gives you more BHP, noise and a little less low end torque. Of course to have decats/test pipes but this will fail an MOT and create a lot of noise. Next is an exhaust system, where you should look to remove two constrictions - the Y pipe and single rear silencer. By having a dual system everything flows easier. So you want an X or H pipe and two rear silencers so make full dual system. Panel filters offered from HKS give effectively the same performance as the standard ones but are easily cleanable. The K&N again give about the same and can be cleaned but are oil based and potentially corruot the MAF sensor. Cosworth I'm unsure on. Lastly a remap taps onto all the unleashed power and ties it all together to get best gains but also with uprev you can get 5 individual maps usually - standard, restricted revs (for others to use), 95 petrol, perfect remap and lively remap (quicker throttle response on the perfect remap). Hope I answered a couple there and correctly
  16. Spotted a silver 370z at paddock hill bend car park now seen 4 other 370's in the Uk No 350 spot though Seems as mine was missed, you can see it here parked at the back -
  17. Great day and some great racing, especially classic touring cars. see one 370, a silver parked behind the paddock hill bend car park my 4th ever spot of a 370z
  18. I was watching this as the silver is starting to peel on the 3rd button. Think all 370's have these but would say internals are interchangeable with the standard Nissan logo ones.
  19. I got mine too I'm sure they are all in thier way for all us Fitting saturday at TDI South
  20. I may go to this as it's not far away and like you say - it's real F1 cars
  21. I'm with you on this. It really does look great but like everyone says it needs a spoiler but I'm biased as I've had to add one to the more subtle GT styling as it wasn't enough. Hope they are not too expensive, otherwise a second hand GTR comes in to play. As much as I love my Z, a GTR would be too tempting
  22. Makes two of us! Come on FlyBoy shows us all what we are missing!
  23. Good work You forced me I go and buy Berkz and also have an Invidia on the way Watch this video from 5 minutes and this is what to expect, not the same HFC's but will be very similar (sounds fantastic) -
  24. Had one of these on my last car, the weight is unreal and I was shocked how they changed the movement. Great product and very well made!
