If its running a 350z ecu then I would presume it can be tuned with uprev, no need for stand alone

I think Rich meant, you cant fit the 350z engine combined with the 350z ecu and expect it to work, not the engine doesnt fit. If you cant find a solution to access to the ecu, pretty pointless fitting forced induction. Sure its feasable with the right 350 specialist, but, being the first do it, will require some hefty r and costs. I would imagine the detune is probably down to something very simple like cams, i guess the theory will be you wont be using a vans power at 7000 rpm.

How bizzare that nissan developed a completely different software/code for the same engine.

I would suggest the only difficult modification to note would be say an uprev (350z specific), granted it usually is accompanied with exhaust, filter and plenum spacer, but how would you find out, except for taking it to a specialist to check, so would you be responsible for doing this if you genuinely didnt know?

I think we should have state covered 3rd party insurance, if you want fire, theft or fully comp you then get it additionally. And somehow put a stop to all this whiplash and injury claims, although how is another bag!!

Lets face it, no one likes insurance, the prices are all over the shop and seem completely unfathomable, no one wants to claim in case of increased costs the following year etc But for the one time you really need it, its just not worth not having a policy based on false information.

I agree mostly, what fractional amounts you "may" theoretically loose on braking and acceleration and I am talking probably 100's of a second at best you will make up in increased grip levels from wider tyres and certainly not noticeable on the road. The 350 on track though does feel vastly better on 18's, mostly when it comes to quick direction changes and steering input and for that reason alone i would prefer them on track. Whether out and out pace between the 2 vastly different I would be surprised with us average drivers

I wouldnt know what the market is like for a bike engined kit car, maybe something to consider. After swapping the 350 recently and getting a vx220 they might be worth a look, in my brief experience i can say they are a lot of fun and a safe bet resale.

I would imagine the batteries are very well protected

Have a search for a lipo battery exploding, its pretty spectacular. I use lipos in airsoft guns, you are supposed to charge in fire proof bags etc and if they suffer damage or get punctured, thats when it gets nasty
