  1. It would be worth speaking to some of the tuners to see if they can use the uprev software used to tune 350 ecus.
  2. On the roads the most noticeable difference will be it feels a little firmer/harder because of the lower profile tyre, actual handling wise i doubt you will notice.
  3. From a personal point of view, only having driven my vx220 and previous varying cars, a std na would not be enough for my taste, i would even go so far as to say a stage 2 at 250 would be borderline. I have the best of both worlds, power if you want/need and can still carry corner speed. The only thing that gets on my t*ts with regard to the power levels is having to have a 3" droney exhaust, but hopefully i can address that to a a degree, but it is very very civil if you want it to be
  4. Yes it was a little loud at CC. Cannot preach how much of solid car this is. Would hate to have one without SC. Totally threw my expectations out the water. Utterly brilliant car! No black flags and passed the static though which is good, but would like to take the edge of it without loosing too much power. Maybe you were screaming and i just didnt hear, haha
  5. Moving onto trying to get the exhaust a little quieter now, seems a common problem with 3" systems on Harrops. Will try the old faithful of wrapping with heat tape to add a little more depth and try a single exit as that helps a little by all accounts.
  6. If i wanted a Lotus in similar spec i would be spending at least double....
  7. I would imagine if and when the time came, if i couldnt get what i wanted, i would put it back to std and sell off the performance parts.
  8. I think in std trim you could be right, very small selection out there so always a good thing, supply and demand etc
  9. As per Grundys comment, the dealer is duty bound to sort the problem whether you have a warranty or not, you are covered under the consumer rights act. Phone them up without delay, tell them the problem and you will be returning the car for them to fix.

Keyser had a mnr vortx for a while (pretty sure it was a bike engine), maybe worth a pm to him.
  11. I must admit, if the vx hadnt come along i was sorely tempted with a 135i, they have really grown on me, much like a 350 with the right wheels, lowered and few small body additions, they look pretty menacing, i dont think there is much in it in the looks department over an e92.
  12. Have you tried the switch when the lights are on?
  13. Well a couple of additions as promised. Rc5+ pads which are awesome. Corbeau Le Pro seat (just drivers for now) mated to Lotus 340R subframes John Betts harness bar Fezz heater Trimmed dash and door cards Jack Royal trimmed steering wheel
  14. Worth considering a supercharged vx over a turbo, very linear power delivery.
  15. Interesting the 135i doesnt look special/head turning enough for your tastes, personally I dont think anything on your list does, let alone a ttrs, the most subtly styled rs available, dare I say, bland. What about some sort of Lotus?

I would hardly describe a tow hook as "beautiful", but if your hankering after one £20 and its all yours http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-KDM-SOUL-USA-DIY-RING-ROUND-TRACK-FLIP-UP-JDM-ALUMINUM-TOW-HOOK-NEOCHROME-/142045524243?hash=item211292b113:g:IesAAOSwzJ5Xeslw
  17. They seemed to have taken a hit, last time i looked they were 25k plus!

If you cant find one in the colour you want, just get it re anodised to suit
  20. There is a chance any hfc will trigger the cel, I have had berks and cobra and happy with either tbh. Worth noting there is no guarantee hfc will 100% pass an mot.

I know its just a small bit of frp or carbon but imho, its the price you pay for something that hasnt been copied over here and every man and his dog sports one, if i had kept my 350 i was just about to pull the pin and buy the stardust rear spoiler, probably circa a grand landed.

Be cautious buddy, I ended up buying 2 from ebay both saying they would fit, neither did, the 350 had two sizes, 18mm and 22mm, you need 22mm.
  23. I am pretty sure the shape is different so not sure they will fit unless you plan to get creative.
