  1. A very grey area, what works for some, hasnt for others. Sorry to say, you are going to have to suck it and see, I bought 2 elms which didnt connect and a vgate that did. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Vgate-iCar-3-ELM327-WiFi-OBD2-Diagnostic-Scanner-For-Android-IOS-Tool-Read-/152089256344?hash=item236939e198:g:xroAAOSwHJhXNarz
  2. I really wouldnt unless you are trying to save every lb or so and if you do, make sure you trickle charge whenever not in use.
  3. Maybe worth a search on some the american forums if thats what your looking for.
  4. https://jkautospares.co.uk/nissan_350z_z33_ibherdesign_havoc_wide_bodykit_k1602w If anyone wants to ruin a zed
  5. I did have one on mine when I bought it and know its fairly simple but afraid I dont have the diagram, stating the obvious, have you tried Vortech, they are very helpful.
  6. Good luck dude, my local nissan are pretty good, if I get time will ask them.
  7. Sounds good, I know there are a few fi'd elgrands around on the web, what are they using? Have you tried contacting Nissan with regards to a wiring diagram, apologies if I am being obvious.
  8. So whats the ultimate goal, a mappable ecu or running a 350z engine?
  9. I am not 100% but dont think so. Do the plugs match on the ecus?
  10. So just to confirm, tuners say they can read the ecu? Pretty sure you will find a 350z will not start without the correctly coded ecu to key.
  11. A serial number on an explosive item, genius.....
  12. I think the keys and ecus are coded for the NATS, nissan anti theft system. Nissan can programme them but not sure on the Elgrand key, having said that, I think tuners can switch the system off. Will the Elgrand run right as its map is obviously 350z specific, cam timing, fuelling, ignition etc? Are you near any of the tuners, Horsham or Abbey, may be worth a trip to them with a 350z ecu.
  13. What about one of those gtech multis, they look good, although never used one.
  14. ^^ Thats what Reis wanted, a value, two colour photos and they were happy
  15. I would be very surprised if you needed to be specific on, fuel pump, injectors, fuel return system, etc same goes for brakes, i dont believe they would want brands, just drilled and grooved or whatever and uprated pads.
  16. Its pretty general with Vortech stuff with regards to bhp, your never going to be a million miles away, just tell them you havent got a dyno fidure as yet but you expecting "x", sure they will be satisfied with that until you get it dyno'd. Give REIS a try, excellent quotes and customer service.
  17. Most just require a hp figure as thats what they rate it on, on the most part though, I would say, vortech v2 or 3, uprated fuel system, intercooler, exhaust etc
  18. The centres do cover the split rim bolts some what, its the design, thats why I mentioning bastadising an allen key to split them.
  19. All depends on the hub face, message him and ask for a measurement of the rear lip.
  20. Restrictive maybe in diameter, but no silencers or cats, so tone wont change.
  21. Depends on the depth of the face, but you can work it roughly from width minus et
  22. ^^ Tape measure will give you the answer http://www.4wheelparts.com/tire-wheel-package-guide/wheel-offset-backspacing.aspx
  23. If they are 3 piece there is no reason why not, just confirm they are not welded as some are, you could always buy new lips. Gorgeous wheels though, i had set on a Rx7 and a pair here and have my eye out for another pair. You will need to bastardise an allen key to split them though as they are hidden by the centres.
  24. I would imagine by the time you have messed about getting something like the above fixed, your probably just a few quid of buying a new one so why bother.
