  1. My mum and aunt are very into spiritualism, i was lost my way with life in my late 20's and they suggested i go see a spiritualist, of course being 20 odd i was very sceptical but went anyway. Some of things he described only I knew and were way too offbeat to be random points or guesswork that someone might relate to. A couple of description of "past family members" that were with him were also incredibly accurate and trust me, i was not feeding him info or prompting, all i was saying was yes or no! My sister died last year and very soon after passing i had a couple of things occur. My pc is at a window, the window has a pelmet, on top of the pelmet are a few items. One of them is a Snap On Ford F100 hot rod on a flat base, the base is roughly 10" x 4"! Perhaps three quarters of an inch of this over hangs and is centred on the pelmet right above my pc screen, so if it fell, it fall directly onto the screen, it hasnt moved in 8 years. Sat one day typing away and the thing literally came flying off the sill and covered about a metre and hit the return wall. There is literally no way if it had just over balanced it would travel any distance. If it had just fallen or toppled off i would have thought nothing more about it, but it didnt, it had forward motion She also had a personal reg plate, it was something like 066OCO, we used to call her Coco, as with any rubbish plate she said it said Coco, ever since she got it, i called her Oco. A year to the day of her death my niece had arranged a little rememberrance down the beach, let off a few chinese lanterns etc, me and my nephew didnt want to go (reasons i wont go into, famaily stuff). About 5 mins before i called him and said, come on we should go and he agreed, i walked out the door then and there, turned onto the main road and the car in fronts reg plate was W6 "OCO"
  2. Its makes no difference which way the grooves are running (unless specifically stated), it is all to do with the vanes. Some are straight, so it would again make no difference, some are curved so they would need to turn into the direction of rotation. http://www.racingbrake.com/v/main/rotor_vane_design.asp
  3. Thanks for the offers guys, all sorted and on route
  4. I dont know much about j17, but I would say thats pretty good service, they could have made it a lot harder for you Enjoy the car
  5. S Tunes didnt come out till 05 (according to wiki), mystery solved Just to **** on your bonfire that modfied website were road testing them in May 2004 doesn't mean they were on sale but we're produced in early 2004 at least Only going by what Wiki says as mentioned, obviously its not the font of all knowledge. But would be surprised if they made an S Tune within a year of its release either way
  6. S Tunes didnt come out till 05 (according to wiki), mystery solved

  11. Trading standards, make the call, they will arm you with all the info you need (laws, sale of goods act, your rights what you can expect etc) If you go armed with all the relevant info you will be in a much better position than, some bloke on the forum said....

    New Boots

They have landed Not with me yet though
  13. I would say just look at the suspension, red springs and silver shocks is Nismo S Tune, rather than black on black, really easy to see from the rear!
  14. I feel a bit sorry for the op to be honest and personally think some comments are a bit harsh. He bought the car in good faith assuming due to the advert it was a rev up, i bet if the op was of the opposite sex the tone would be different, just because he is a guy doesnt mean he has to know everything about cars, let alone model specifics! Sure he could have done some research and yes it may be natural to us car buffs who frequent forums, but some people trust a dealer is being accurate in what they are selling and dont need to question it, rightly or wrongly. I will agree with other comments though , you seem happy with the car, its now just the price point and i feel thats what you should argue
  15. Sounds like dodgy Parcelforce to me, they pay your customs charges for you, apparently so its released quicker and then charge you extra (£13 or so) for the privilege, even though you havent asked them, then they go on to hold the parcel until the fees are settled which according to postage rights is against the law to withhold a package in lieu of payment! I have paid similar amounts on low value $ items, even customs charges is lower than their astronomical handling fee!!
  16. Rather than listening to varying opinions of your rights from us lot, just make a call to your local Trading Standards before you approach the dealer. Firstly they will give you accurate information on your rights based on the facts and secondly you can then approach the dealer quoting trading standards which shows your not going to let it lie (if trading standards says you have cause for recourse).
  17. I thought there were only 2 uk variants, gt pack or not. Maybe someone has added parts over time or its a jdm!
  18. I was looking forward to this but got bored after the first 15 mins, too much waffling and other fill in material to stretch the show out. More car please, less about the presenters!
  19. Funny that it always annoyed me having to have a single exit exhaust on the Rx7. Single exits only look good if they are out the middle imho. The white one would look better to me if the pipes came up the centre of the diffuser or one pipe in each aperture Although thats contrary to the whole point of the thread, lol
  20. If your prepared to be patient shipping can be cheap (ish) sent by sea (4 - 8 weeks) rather than air. I just had a price for 4 wheels from Japan, shipping by sea was only £162 to my door, not bad when you consider even inside the UK it would be £40 ish insured. I also just looked into some costs for a set of shocks from Northern Ireland, TNT wanted over a £100!! If you find a decent seller and want to take a risk, they might also be friendly with the "value", but at your own risk, if it goes missing you can only claim the declared value. Vat goes on last too, so its item value, import duty, shipping and then + VAT on all of it, staggering that you pay vat on a shipping service from another country but hey, we all know we have to grip out ankles when it comes to the government!
  21. Hopefully this media attention will be her downfall, god knows why anyone even puts trash like this in the mail. Got to agree with the op, why anyone would want to read about her is beyond me, what is sadder, this is classed as news worthy! I am sure there are 1000's of girls like this polluting our population, having kids to claim benefits and their only hope of success is media fame rather than actually bettering yourself, working hard and trying to succeed. Blame the media and the brain dead who want to read it!
  22. Collected today, nice to meet the new owner, i am sure he will be along soon Please lock.
  23. And some people wonder Vettel is so unpopular! "Tough luck" He is even trying the Kimi approach, asked by Brundle on the grid walk, what is the track like, "dry"!
  24. Because they are money grabbing so and so's. I have never made a claim in over 20 years of driving, yet some younger members on here have had quotes cheaper than mine. Aint that the truth, try this its fun! Get a quote and tell them its got no alarm or immobiliser and wont be garaged. Phone them back a week later, tell them you have had an alarm fitted and your wives car is sold and you can now garage the car, i pretty much guarantee it will make no difference, certainly in my experience anyway. I have been paying the same price for about 10 years now, never crashed, 3 points i had now come off and still the same and its battle to even get it the same as the year before!! Perhaps the insurance companies on here can tell me what high risk is?
