I thought it was quite diplomatic, better than "you are a complete idiot and got what you deserved" and "utterly ridiculous" and "i would want more info before i comment properly" -

I am not sure "perhaps" even comes close tbf. If a complete stranger preached to me i had got everything i had deserved in the same situation i am not so sure i would be as calm and placid as Zhorno. If you can honestly sit behind your pc and post that you have never had an incident (of some kind) i would say your either lying or not trying hard enough. As Stoner said to Rossi (rather ironically although true at the time), perhaps his ambition outweighed his talent! We learn from our mistakes, as i am sure Zhorno has but, the assumption that its always tyres is just becoming boring, there were a few others commenting on their poor tyres and they didnt crash! Sure, good tyres, suspension, bushings etc is all going to increase the odds of staying on the tarmac but it seems to me (although not being there) Zhorno just admits to getting a bit over zealous and loosing control. Tyres no matter what make are only going to offer you levels of grip/balance, once you reach those limits it becomes irrelevant, it all comes down to car control and if you dont have that, even having mpss on wont save you! Whilst i know you are only offering advise, there are much better ways of approaching a delicate subject like this than smug and arrogant comments! -

You came off at one of most notorious corners on any track in the country buddy, you are not the first and wont be the last, even professional drivers get it wrong with the best tyres money can buy! Telling him he got everything he deserves is just out of order imho! -
Good way of putting it into prospective

Would anyone happen to have a photo of a front wing without the side repeater in, just gauging the hole cut out, is it just round or shaped? Thanks in advance if anyone does

They/we do imho, except when we are being branded racist when we are not. As hollowpoint says, as soon as we dare suggest we do not agree with something someone does who isnt white, your branded racist (as with this thread), when the persons race has nothing to do with it, it just so happens they arent white, ironically the word racist is used far to "casually" if you ask me. I am not a racist or casual racist, i do not go out of my way to persecute anyone who isnt white, live and let live. But, do not force me into being "racist" because i dont agree with certain cultures attitudes towards us/me as more often than not, the ones claiming you a racist are the most racist themselves, but it doesnt seem to work the other way round bizarrely. One of my best female friends is Indian just for the record. It has nothing to do with the colour of your skin, if your a c*ck, i will tell you your a c*ck (not aimed at anyone on here), but as soon as you highlight someone is a c*ck who happens to be coloured, your racist and that is just farcical if you ask me.
-
It was obviously said tongue in cheek (it seems you dont like to read between the lines) but If broadening my intellectual horizons (just to flatter you) means becoming a bigot rather than a realist i will stay as i am thanks Acts of actual racism deserve the full extend of the law by the way, i am in no way a racist, but it seems the difference is, i can see the wood for the trees as it seems the majority commenting does, but i am sick to death of the minority voice over shadowing the majority in this country!

Casual rascism, is this a new term for trying to play the race card, trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill, clutching at straws that you get a chance to wave your flag and make a big noise about nothing? The word was used within a rhyme (even mumbled), it was not used within a sentence expressing any form of hate towards anyone particular, there was no conviction in his voice. If the 2 of you seriously believe uttering the word nigger is casual racism you need to address your understanding and views as you are doing racism no favours by holding onto such believes and going on witch hunts and crusades for the mere use of the word. At best you are evoking more racial hatred and diversity between skin colours and at worst, as said before, are racist to the extreme by baying from the rooftops for peoples heads, particularly when they are white

5y/o boy banned from church group for wearing dresses

I was out the other week at a hawk conservatory, obviously there were quite a few families, there was one particular kid, guessing a similar age, he had on a pair of black trousers, red velvet dinner jacket, shirt and red bow tie and smart shoes, every other kid, jeans, t shirt and trainers. One look at his parents and you knew he hadnt choosen his attire, typical new age tree huggers! Personally i felt sorry for the little fella, other kids looked at him strangely and you could tell he wasnt quite down with other kids! Its one sure way of giving your child some kind of stigma, parents to blame in both cases imho! -
I know a few get good prices from them, but they have never got close to other quotes for me
-
Personally i would say forget about what "price" you should pay and just buy the best car on your budget. In reality most cars will be have an average figure for the particular year, some will be a bit under, some a bit over and most likely there is a reason for that either way. Work out what suits you best, a newer model/year that is in average condition, higher miles etc or a older car with lower miles etc but in excellent condition. As others have said, there is or should be no difference with insurance, just there are less companies willing to quote sensibly for imports, you need to contact specialist insurers (traders on here) to get the best price on either.
-
Pain to fit why buddy, poor quality or just in lining it up etc?
-
Yet if your trying to rebuild your credit score paying regular dd on a phone contracts it doesnt make any difference in the positive, nor does paying insurance via monthly payments via a credit agency! But miss a payment, that sure as hell impacts!

Sold, please lock, apologies to interested parties.

JapFEST 2014 - Looks like rain
Jetpilot replied to The Bounty Bar Kid's topic in National Events & Shows
I think tracks are great when it rains, you learn so much about the cars characteristics and it gives you a great chance to explore the limits of grip in relative safety -
T350 or Sagaris for me A mate has a Griffith, sounds and looks awesome, but, its a dog to drive, no pas and such a heavy clutch!
-
Great to see some lovely cars being driven and enjoyed I dont like open pit lanes as the temptation to stay out is too great, 20 min sessions in a road car is perfect, plenty of time for the car too cool down and time to reflect, take break and for you to cool down too.
-
How long is a piece of string? You have worked out and got answers to general running costs, mpg, servicing, tyres etc Just factor into the equation could you afford to do a clutch for example? Not trying to put you off but make you aware of something that could easily wear out and not a cheap fix

Still available

About 2.00 ish today, just pulling out from the Moors Valley road and turning off towards Ringwood

Thought we might be in for a belting race today, all the 4 aliens on a very similar pace in qualifying and practice, just looked like MM found something a little extra. Still, 4 poles, 4 wins, its looking ominous. Whats happened to Lorenzo, mystifying!
