  1. As an auto i hear they are not too bad as autos go, but would want a manual myself. Good luck with your search, a few horror stories recently so choose careful and be wary of any niggles that may end up being costly.
  2. I guess it depends on ones definition of light, about 3-4 lbs heavier than comparable rays so i wouldnt say lightweight.
  3. Jdm have a different code by all accounts. In all fairness after the hassle i was a bit disappointed with the info i could get, you dont really get much more than you see on the dials, i was hoping for, oil temp, afr etc The only extra i got that i wanted was air intake temp (handy for fi). Good for codes and clearing them though etc
  4. What about the XXRs that I'm running? They got quite a few options here http://srbpower.com/wheels/xxr-wheels/ They are not light though. Not of the others i mention appeal buddy? I would love a set of viper r's but incredibly difficult to find.
  5. Tbf if your changing discs/pads etc it will probably cost you the same if not less to buy upgraded than oem, so absolutely no reason not to, it will offer better feel, less fade etc but it really isnt going to stop you much quicker, as Ekona says in another thread, tyres will play more of a part than brakes to stopping distances.
  6. Sikaflex is awesome, we used to put transponders in boat hulls with it, once it had gone off you could literally stamp on them from above, the fiberglass would split before that gave up. There is also a scotch vhb tape specifically designed for vehicle trim, mighty strong stuff, I will be using this when I put my lip on, as if it needs to come off you can run a fine blade behind to split it.
  7. http://www.zeckhausen.com/Testing_Brakes.htm A good review above of varying 350 brakes under test. A 355 bbk stopping in average just 2ft shorter than std brembo set up from repeated 100mph stops, Brembos are more than capable for road use on the basis.
  8. Quite happy to send you the 2 I have if you want to try them buddy.
  9. 350 brakes are perfectly capable of stopping the car (inc jdm brakes) from any speed. It only comes into effect with repeated heavy braking, which you dont come anywhere near to on the roads.
  10. Absolutely fine for brakes, its the same car that doesnt really weigh any more so your still stopping the same mass. Granted given some track work you will be regularly stopping from higher speeds than a std 350 so some upgrades would be good to eliminate fade.
  11. Think the Invidia only carries a year which is pretty poor for a stainless exhaust costing what it does, would still contact the outlet, let them know the miles its done etc.
  12. Anything is possible but you will need to split whichever box it is and repack. So unless you know anyone that can cut, pack and weld it aint going to be cheap. Sorry
  13. Quite a few threads on this, they are very hit and miss, bought 2 elm327 and neither worked, bought a vgate and works a treat although I know sherlock bought one and it wouldnt connect.
  14. Your far to nice buddy, if someone had done the same to me going home to have a think about it and being understanding would be the farthest thing on mind. Take the b#tch to town and make sure she pays heavily.
  15. Low mileage has absolutely zero relation to condition of engine or car, I have no idea why people get so hung about it and as its well documented, with the right insurance broker you will pay no more for an import. Good luck with your search, buy the best car for your budget, not because its low miles
  16. Saw a zed with a set on yesterday bizarrely, i know they are a great wheel and will do the job you want (light and widths), but think they are very bland and dont suit the 350 imho of course. Why not a nice set of te37's, i know just the man selling some Or if your looking for lightweight, some Desmond Regamasters, BBS Rg F1's, SSR Type C, Racing Sparco Viper R's, Volk Ce28 This might help http://www.350z-uk.c...ls/page__st__20
  17. Always used to be a thread on the rx7 forums with peoples plans for their car and the upcoming year, so what you guys got going on and I mean a little more than a stubby and rays refurb

    Wheel size?

I think thats why he said, "to an extent"
  20. Jetpilot

    Wheel size?

They worked out perfect imho, didnt have to do any severe arch work and got the stretch/look i wanted, but also run te37's on a 8.5 and 9.5 for track along with some ssr's at 8 & 9's and they wear the same tyres and do the same job, widths are just for show, not go Having a clear out so most for sale, i fancy a change
