So a friend a couple of weeks ago didn't think my car sounded right. His guess was the input bearing, I told him it was just the noise of a Stage 2 Clutch, SM Lightened Fly. However my car does sound almost identical to that whine in the video. Question is, is the video and my friend correct? If so How much is the bearing and the job? I'm planning on changing the slave and master cylinder, is this process in the same region that I can do the bearing too, or completely different?

Just over the years from watching at shows and a fair few videos on youtube (i'll have a search later) Main reason is a lot of the time they're doing it to show off to the crowed - I.e. keeping it running longer than needed. But from video's I've watched so many times have they not been strapped down correctly etc and come off the rails

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease don't do a Dyno at a car show I cringe every time I see these. I hate going on a Dyno at the best of times, but so many scary horror story's I've seen with people going on Dyno's at Car shows.

Blaqkaudio - Got to say this was an absolutely brilliant day, credit to everyone who organised this, weather could not have been better! Was good to put names to faces Anyway these were the few snaps I got: and for the 6 of us that hanged about, the very last pics of the day

More of Colins (Ebized) - Some more pics from the show..... A BM that really does look so good, in my eyes One of my favourites - and even had some rotors to help it spin This Porsche was stunning: If only that bloody lottery would come up guess I better buy some tickets first The colour was just awesome in the sun on this Mac: Just a shame their F1 cars are such a huge let down atm........ This one stood out in the M3 section for me: I saw glrnet drooling over this and have the say the work and attention to detail was supurb Tried to get a shot to show the rear wheels were only separated by the dff - they were that wide But there were just many fabulous cars there - so if you missed the show this year I seriously recommend you try to get to next years

Colin's Snaps - And later in the day....with all 6 of the forums' new flags Meanwhile an ex owner is relegated to the Pistonheads display ........near the castle and the Porsches And towards the other end of the Pistonheads display - well OK....I drooled Then wandered off to see the hypercar displays but too early so just a teaser So, wandering back to the main arena some of the sights for you guys to see: Ferrari: Porsche: GTR: Lotus: TVR: Take your pick for supercar rides (for charity) NSX: GT40: And then got in to see the hypercar display on the castle forecourt: Really was a fabulous day so many cars and so many zillions (£'s) in one place and quite few taking home sunburns as a reminder of a great day out A few more pics to come of individual cars that caught my eye........

I think this event deserves a thread dedicated for the media as I think a lot of members will not spot half the cracking stuff people have taken at the event in the other thread. First of all this awesome video by our very own StevoD http://youtu.be/zUPCUIWGL7U My pictures before my camera ran out of memory Took this and thought of Pritchard NSX's One for Dan Like a rainbow!

Why have they advised you not to? If it's down to damage etc, if they agree to keep the car etc, they're liable for any damge.
-
Whats wrong with just leaving your car at the garage, seems like a lot of hassle not to.

What would you do if 90% of this thread said - Age 40 is the cut off point. Would you not get one? Odd thread is Odd.

Love mine Coilovers are always a tricky thing to sell depending on price.

Then again, if it's not too hard, then no harm in doing that.

I need to bleed it first, as the fluid is the wrong colour

Little update for Japfest weekend. So earlier in the week I ordered some new rear tyres, wanted to go up a size to remove some of the stretch. Was running 265, due to keeping the tread in the arch on stock suspension. Now that it's lowered and tweaked, I could get away with a larger tyre. So I stepped up to a 275. Was a good decision imo, looks better and it's just nice knowing I have more meat on the ground. Oh and It means I lose the Nangkangs And maintain Hankooks all round...Which keeps Dan happy...ish. As well as new tyres, couple of weeks ago, after following a facebook group in America for some time, and seeing StevoD apply them to his, I went and got some tyre decals. Going to Marmite for some - As with all of my car But I love them. Nice and unique. These are different to your usual tyre sticks/paint/paint pen - These are rubber based material with a designed glue to allow the them to bond and react with the tyre wall, with this material, it allows you to clean them unlike the other methods. You can vigorously scrub these and they won't fall off So, Japfest....I was shitting my self going on to track again I had a lot running through my mind. Mainly, don't blow this one up But this was the first time for a lot of things. First time with the new engine, First time with the new clutch First time with the new suspension -Coils, Arbs, Drops Links, Camber arms. I was very nervous about the Drift works camber arms...No reason to be, but for first time use, I always had playing in my mind...they could snap Anyway....SHE SURVIVED! Was a great time out on track with Mr Tarmac Sportz in the car. We had a good run....but wasn't my best. Ran into a few issues out on track, - Straight out of the pits, my clutch pedal decided to stick (It's been doing this since the engine swap) It disengages/engages the clutch fine, it just doesn't come all the way back up. But was hoping I had solved it by doing a temp clutch fluid change the day before, but it didn't. So will do a full proper change in the next week or so. That wasn't a huge issue though, as the clutch was working perfectly fine etc, was just clutch pedal positioning that was a nuisance. - Suspension... Since putting the rear tyres on (Bigger size) I've realised one side of the suspension was higher than the other Thus one side rubbed a lot on a left hand corner. That wasn't too much of an issue as Combe is 95% right hand corners. But apart from that, the suspension was glorious round quarry etc stuck to the road and just glided round, no over steer, no under steer, just tyre squealing - Brakes... This was my main concern, After about 2 laps my brakes started to feel different ( They're planned to be changed before the end of this month, just thought they'd be fine for japfest) Was just a sketchy feeling when braking, possibly heating or pad wear, unsure yet. But this put me off braking late into a corner entry, so I ended up slowing down a lot sooner than usual just the be on the safe side...I blew an engine up, I don't want to crash the chassis this time. But new brakes will be on order this week. - Suspension... On one corner there was an odd knocking noise/feel coming from the front right, again unsure what yet, could be a whole mix of things. It's a shame my suspension wasn't setup and ready for this, as it would of been so much more fun out there. Sly didn't seem really interested in carrying out the work when I went down there a couple of months ago. So going to give Jez at Horsham a shout this week and get it booked in with him before I go to the ring. Other than that, it was a great time out on track, look forward to going back out there when the car is fully setup and ready this time. Anyway, here's some pictures, and thanks for reading
