Project "Sparco" on the way to Tarmac Sportz
Grundy replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
Sweet, I'll be ordering some seats then -
Damn, thats some serious rust I might be able to work with that, I'll let you know, as I need to persuade my sprayer to do the work with me.
-
Any chance you could send me over a picture at some point? Just want to see where the rust goes, as to whether I'd be gutting that bit any way Thanks dude.

BC's or HSD's get my vote. Can change the dampeners to soft/hard etc, easy enough to keep it OEM with the ability to lower it to what you like Give Tarmac a shout for BC's Or check out Driftworks for HSD - http://www.driftworks.com/hsd-coilovers-nissan-300zx-and-350z-z32-z33.html Absolute bargain to be fair. Had I not got the deal I got on BC's, I would of opted for the HSD's.

I was going to say, stop spending money on crap like this Buuuuut that's pretty cool. That is pretty much ideal for people with no access to taps or at car shows, after you've driven in damp/wet conditions, you can just wash all the @*!# off, then finish up with the QD. Does it use a full tank for a car? Dibs at events to borrow it!
-
I'll bare that in mind dude, On a tight time scale, so going to see if I can get a pair first or if someone can offer up a drivers side one, as if I can't, I'll just do it on mine.

As per the title, anyone got any spare, from breaking etc? I'll drop the traders a PM shortly. Pref down South Central. Any colour as I'll be spraying them. Thanks.

Help! No gears, no biting point, pedal through the floor
Grundy replied to mbw100's topic in 350Z General
As daft as it sounds, have you checked your Clutch fluid levels? Is the clutch pedal sat on the floor? Not flicking back at all, not even half way? As it sounds like you might have an air lock. -
Don't worry, I have a few guys on a reserve list who will fill in the blanks

Cost me £17 to send a bumper from Portsmouth to Scotland. Thanks Grundy, which courier did you use if you don't mind me asking? It was just a local office, can't remember the name sorry, but they should all be within that price range give or take a few quid. Was just giving you an idea of what to expect
-
Over priced by about a grand. You'd be much better off with this bargain! http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/98376-2003-jdm-black-zed/ A well looked after and maintained Zed, and is also local to you.

So, onto the laps... They were good, again, it was different to what I was expecting. It's a hard track! Anyone who says it isn't can go fudge themselves. Respect the track or lose your car. On UK tracks, I love cornering, and I brake late, corner hard.... was the complete opposite here So many blind corners, narrow exits, inclines etc. A few corners too which catch you out, you think you can put the power down as you're coming out, yet the corner still carrys on Had a couple of issues on track, which may be a result of something I'll explain at the end of the thread - but basically it felt like abs/tc kicking in on inclined corners...when it should. I.e. a corner at 30mph, nothing should slip yet the system wanted to jerk the car about. Thank you to Mark for the images! As low as it might look...it didn't scrub or scrape on track, was perfect Although I bottled the carousel due to the ride height I didn't bother timing my self as I wasn't expecting anything special, I'd need a good 10 laps before I could even start to remember this track Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut luckily enough, something else was available too.... The GP circuit! OMG! What a track, loved every minute of it! For the price of a lap, you could get 15 minutes on the GP circuit. Was such a fast paced track with some great corners! Although was a bit trickier with bikes on the track too, it was like a normal track day in the UK. You'd queue up and send you out in bulk etc. The first time was better than the first due to less bike, but the second time we had about 20 bikes out there. Was insane. They just didn't care for track rules, they'd over/undertake where ever they could. But I just kept to my own space and just had open track, was awesome! Bulletmagenet had the honors of being a passenger, so he can give you a true opinion on my driving Mouthwash has some footage, nothing special though so will see about uploading. Waiting to be let on the GP She got a little hot. Another shot from track Then obviously, we had to do this And my favorite shot of the week.. Then sadly it was home time. But this time I got my own carriage And a much wider one too - And obviously my Nurburg Sticker, so it's offical Would I go back? 100% yes! Was amazing, loved every second of it. Just wasn't enough time to do everything you wanted to do though. Definitely going back next year

Been a little while since I've created a thread. For those that don't know Eleanor, she's Tarmac's special girl, of all the 100's of girls in the brothel, this is Tarmac's go to girl, Special little prostitute Anyway, earlier this month me and mouthwash (plus a few outsiders) went over to Germany. ,,,,what a place! Incredible over there! The roads are perfect, the food is fantastic and motorway drivers know how to drive! Basically the complete opposite to the UK!. So, early in the morning we arrive at Dover - Thats the 5 cars that went. Then onto the train, For anyone worried about the narrow paths, just book your self into the Vans/Large vehicle carriges, so much better and no additional cost. Was a tight squeeze getting onto the carriage, then was a bit iffy going down the train. For less hassle, just go on the larger carriages as I found out on the way back, as the french said I was too low and wanted me on the other carriage So we arrive in Calais, off to our first destination...Spa. At first I was all excited about this road trip, then I soon realised it was all just motorway driving Wasn't the most exciting roads. After several hours of driving we arrived at Spa, wow what a place! We were even lucky enough to arrive on what seemed to be some sort of public track day. The photo's really don't do the track any justice, that road is fudging steep! Where we parked up for Spa After about an hour, we set back off on our trip to The Nurburgring. Autobahn was okay, different to what I expected, in my head it was just a long straight road But turns out it's just like any motorway, has it's bend, inclines etc. Hit 155mph, then the car felt a little unsafe, might be due to the various areo on the car I then thought I'd give it another sprint, until I noticed my bonnet flexing Pulled over, thinking it was just loose on the latch, but it wasn't. We raised the cacth a few mm after spraying and fitting the front bumper to not mark it, so looks like there was some airflow going through there. Lowered it down which seemed to help. But will be ordering some bonnet catches for piece of mind. So we then arrived at our hotel - Hotel De Nordschliefe, place was awesome! Friendly staff, clean hotel, good breakfast! Oh and this view.... Waking up to the sound of engines and cars racing round track was awesome! This is what you could see through my camera (as opposed to my phone) Was awesome! Took a trip down to a local village, again, great food, good prices! Took a walk from our hotel up to the track to get the camera setup for motion pictures. Got really luck with this shot... The views are just incredible! That's our hotel just down there on the right.. All lined up at the start of the Nordschliefe On our travels we found a wild Bulletmagnet! Again the scenery if just amazing! Me and Mark (Bulletmagnet) went a bit rogue and climbed over a half demolished fence to get real close to the action... Seemed to be a BMW experience day going on. 3 Amigos

New Z Owner needing help with Clutch!

Contact Ewen@Clarkmotorsport he'll supply and give you all the info you will need. -
Either do it yourself or just take it to the cheapest garage, which would seem like Abbey... It's not a complex job, so any garage can do it.

No way either of you hit 140mph at Castle Combe. I just hit 128/130mph ish down the straight & I'm supercharged. We didn't post or tell them our speeds, that's just what Tredwear posted. But don't worry, I wont go into a debate of my speed round combe compared to a SC speed
