What? You do realise this is an ancient thread that someone just bumped asking if he can use spacers on 17's? You can use 20/25mm. But if you're upgrading your wheels soon, I wouldn't waste your money on spacers. As you can just buy wheels that fit (i.e. no need for spacing to fill the arches)
