  1. Exhaust mounts sold & dispatched - cheers for the prompt payment. Tyres are waiting to be loaded into the courier's van - sorry Easty, this one looks a done deal.
  2. Ouch, that's a price for tyres. Any chance you can peddle on your Dunlop fogiefrighteners to off set the whack?
  3. Yeah, they make a really nice difference. Bang up-to-date.
  4. Cheers gang, looks like I'm on the right track. Thanks for the additional tips and links ilogikal1 and bems
  5. I quite fancy a DA polisher, I've read many a thread and guide on here and other sites, suffering from a touch of information overload, so I'm hoping for some confirmation that I'm not about to drop a huge nut and sabotage my Zed's paint. I'm acutely aware of the Zed paint being soft, so I figured on the "PB soft kit" http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb-soft-paint-polishing-kit-cat1.html#aMasterZG220SP0 with a DA polisher from below, which I'm hoping will make it really difficult to make monkey's breakfast of my paint. I saw the Meg's G220 and the DAS-6 (and it's excellent price point). Would it be a big loss over the Meg's offering? I don't normally cheap out, but I just wondered if there was much in it. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/kestrel-das6-dual-action-machine-polisher-cat10.html http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/meguiars-g220-dual-action-machine-polisher-cat10.html Initially I plan to just give her a simple polish until I become familiar with the machine, pads, fluids, etc before even thinking about any kind of correction. Is this decent starting place for a DA noob? Are the backings plates and pads pretty much interchangeable across brands or am I "locked in"? Ta.
  6. This is way cool, a whole new level and it would freak out my mates who don't get why I don't use the drive through wash at the garage.
  7. Not finished yet, waiting for a centre piece, got to sort out the LED lighting, oh and remake the hood because I stuffed up the first one Sent from the golf club... Will it have a little bloke in one of the old skool diving suits with a big copper helmet (on his head)? They're ace.
  8. There's a Northern Zed Shed? Where is this place? Should it not be powered by Eccles cakes and pints of mild, instead fancy dan southern donuts
  9. Just a couple of little jobs today. The Z from my strut brace was damaged during the paint job, so I had to rattle can up and give her a coat - RED! You know things are getting seriously Zeditis, when you mod an existing mod. Gonna trial a new knob for a while, see if it's as satisfying in the palm as my previous one. Red gaiter was looking tired, gone back to black this time. In other news, sailed through MOT with no adv. and added some Ferodo DS2500s which are feeling very nice so far. Pesky EML back on, trying some spacers for the o2 sensors in a bid to cure.
  10. I highly recommend the BERK HFCs as they are also a superb fit for the zed compared to some other HFCs. Had mine installed at Abbey and they did the EML light fix for it as well. Be aware though when you first fit them they take a couple of weeks to 'bed in' as under hard acceleration you may hear some change (like a weird tapping noise) but this completely disappeared after awhile. Thanks for the info Exotic ~ I'm thinking of this for next year & although Abbey is 2-3hrs from me that's where I was thinking of going. I know it made a difference in my Zed from the way revs drop off. Others will tell you it's snake oil. For £30 (you can make em for less if you can be bothered) I don't see how you can lose. Worse case scenario is a bit of extra colour in the bay http://h-dev.co.uk/p...oducts_id=25417 Thanks again SuperStu ~ For £30 I think I'll just go for it. Will be after Christmas now but definitely on the Zeds shopping list. A textbook stocking filler.
  11. Second tyre dibs duly noted - Blackpool or motorway service station in surrounding area for collection.

  14. Nice work on your Zed, the lip and bumper are very nice indeed.
  15. Pulleys provisionally sold. UNSOLD and now available.
  16. I got some of these. Seem fine. Currently respraying them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131031560200
  17. Zmanalex recommended this to me when I replaced the same part. http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/310419032723?_lwgsi=y&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=64
  18. If it's the W brace (you'll know it when you see it) it's got other mounting bits hidden by plastic at each end which may have corroded too. Worth checking before you order anything, mine were shot but I just admit I gave one idea what it brings to the Zed party.
  19. At the risk of getting flamed, I found the h-dev grounding kit helped with smooth running, especially coming off the gas. Also mine was feeling a bit rougher than usual (not bad, just not super smooth) turned out the earth on my scorpion had worked loose. Reconnected today, smoothness back at super on the drive home.
