While I was boared on Holiday on the Lovely French Riviera, I found the following info. Although sadly not enough Daewoo's were scrapped with only 3671 getting crushed imho however some folk need shooting! for scrapping the following... 975 Mini's inc 50 + Coopers!!! WTF? 25 Alfa Spiders and a 155 Silverstone. Some one scrapped an Austin Healey Sprite! are they you mad..!! An Alpina B7.. Why..!! A Camaro and a Firebird 72 2CV's 22 Fiat Barchetta's, 10 X1/9's 24, Yes twenty four Ford Capri's, 3 Escort RS Turbo's Unbelievably no less than 120 MGB's a Morris Traveller and 49 Moggy Minors, 21 Triumph Spitfires, 5 Heralds, 18 TR7's and a TR8 !!! 99 Porsches (no 911's thankfully) but 2 928's and 14 944's the rest being 924's 438 Toyota Celicas and 31 Supra's 286 Subaru Impreza's 2 Honda Integra Type R's 10 Mazda RX7's 2 Nissan Skyline GTR's..!!! a brace of M3 bimmers a Lancia Delta integrale WHY..!! rather oddly I found 7 Nissan Qashqai's had been scrapped, Nissan introduced the Qashqai in 2007 so not sure what thats all about lol in total 39,2227 cars were scrapped in the purge all for 2 grand off a new motor?
