Good choice there aiden. Desey if you do get the unsilenced de-cats just get a pair of ear defenders as well and problem solved. Need to put cats on at some point for MOT so gonna just fling on HFCs. Happy with sound of decats......but got a good deal on HFCs.# Did say I was spending no more on car..LOL.

I have unsilenced decats at present.....and while they are loud, aint too bad. They will be for sale very soon!!!!! (hint hint) as putting HFCs on.

under 16k, similiar engine size to z, same car type, not too old........basically your talking BMW or Audi.....poss an older 996. Nothing really to get the blod flowing.

I run 18x8.75 and 18x9.75 with standard tyres. Reckon thats the limit stretch wise but each alloy is different - ie they might state 10" rim but when you measure two differing brands there may be difference. FWIW If i keep mine, I'll be swapping to 275 back and 245 fronts when (if !!!!) my tyres need changing. Can take a side on pic if it helps shpwing standard tyres on above rims?

A few early imports locally to Glasgow .......or you could always hang fire and buy a forum members car. At least then you'll have some idea of any issues and forum members tend (I say TEND) to keep there cars in better condition. Might get a few bits n bobs already done to it also. By the time you AA check and then travel south, surely thats verging on 2-300 quid, not to mention it might end up a heap o sh8t when you get there. All depends on your budget and what you want (import/uk/leather/ etc etc).

Welcome Cameron to a fellow Scot. Unfortunately in 90% of cases you get what you pay for - very few bargains out there. Would question how the seller knows it only has two owners when from 2003 to 2007 it was not in country. Also hard verrifying service history during this time. Not saying its a minger - just be cautious. As others have said, post up a link and I'm sure you'll have plenty of feedback.

Welcome. Went the same way - sold my modded evo 8 and bought a 350z. The 350 is nowhere near as quick but MUCH more comfortable than the Evo.

You could have also mentioned to him that you will be reporting him to plod as using threating behaviour and mobile phone while driving. mines comes on with or without spacers.....i just obd2 it off and it stays off for 20 odd mile. You can buy a OBD reader of ebay for less than 20 quid. uprev will clear it completely. will prob refit cats next mot as around that time plan to sell on car. Will offer the decats to next owner.

Should look better if i ever get around to polishing it. for wheel details see post above whackywill.

xxr530 in shadow chrome. 18x8.75 front and 18x9.75 rear. Offset is 20, no spacers needed. Standard tyre size. Rears are a little stretched but not really that noticable.

BPMJAMES - why not leave bonnet and get roof wrapped to match. think would look good....and could always change it later.
