  1. I'm jealous as mine never turned up today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Why am I so excited to receive an aerial?
  2. That is assuming it is a digi dash?
  3. I think it can be done with VAGCOM if I remember from my Octavia vRS days. Phone some VAG specialists or join a VAG forum, there are normally lists of owners with this software posted who will sort it for beer money.
  4. Got all of the dents removed by a painless dent removal guy, I'm very pleased with the results. They've been bugging me since the day I bought it. Promptly drove to asda to get milk and parked in the emptiest corner of the car park miles from the shop, lol. Also washed it, polished it, autosol'd the exhaust and shampoo'd the mats ( I bought a new hanging basket this morning, placed it in my passenger footwell and it rolled over spilling wet mud when I broke harshly for an idiot copper who flew out of an alleyway in front of me without stopping) Fingers crossed for my new stubby ariel tomorrow from Tarmac sportz, oh and I just paid for a new stereo, facia and leads from another forum member. Off to a few more body shops tomorrow for more front end respray quotes. Jon
  5. I did the same thing when I bought mine, never owned a "sports car" before and although I've always bought decent tyres on previous cars I didn't even think to check the brand just the fact they were brand new just like you. My Z has the misfortune of having autogrips fitted all round too, I bought my Z in October and have lasted the winter in them, tbh they'll have to do me a few more months as I'm tidying up the car. I did some research a few months ago and found a mid->decent tyre for the preferred tyres owners fit on their Z's come in at £150-£200 the autogrips are £55 each!!!! They are shocking in the wet but just drive sensibly matched to the conditions and you'll be fine, I've fortunately had no scares even in the ice etc this winter but the car was new too me so i was cautious anyway. Jon
  6. Nice work so far, I didn't think anyone was as anal as me when it come to fixing things that aren't necessarily needed but you know are there. Jon
  7. I'm planning to get my bits from here... http://incartec.co.uk/nissan/1929/1034/2054/78/Browser.aspx Obviously choose the components suitable for your install Jon
  8. For anyone interested... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330898896187&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en Jon
  9. Thanks for the offer Peter, top bloke. I thought I'd read somewhere keyser had a set. If I'm buying rather than swapping they'll need to wait unfortunately as I'm getting quotes for a front end respray at the mo, thanks for the tip buster. Jon
  10. Shame you're so far away as I'd be interested for a straight swap for the seats, but being in Southampton that's quite a bit of petrol.
  11. Payment sent Wasn't sure if you wanted the payment sent as a gift so you avoid fees, it was only 71p extra for me so I did that. Thanks, jon
  12. Got any daylight pics? I've been considering one of these for my car, I love the look of the double din screens but I just won't ever use a DVD player etc. Jon
  13. http://www.alloygator.co.uk/products.asp
  14. I was gonna suggest coloured rim protectors. They sold them at the wheel specialist where i got my wheels done and thought about getting orange ones if they were a close enough match to my calipers to go with my gun metal wheels. a vinyl stripe will be your best bet, cheap and temporary. Jon
  15. Im not sure on the best set up as i have yet to change my stock radio. I guess it's all down to personal preference though. Perhaps check out this link as it will help make the stereo louder and sub louder. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/58947-reduced-sound-out-put-after-replacing-oe-bose/ Jon
  16. Good lad, another awesome forum member bending over backwards to help the 350z community. Can't wait til my trip to America in 2014!
  17. Nice, inspired by Top Gear i started hunting for one as a cheap, fast, all purpose vehicle as my girlfriend has kids and i'm not sure the Z is practical plus it would be nice to bank some money. I need to search harder as the cheapest examples i could find were around 3-3.5k Jon
  18. Lol, yeah it auto dims when the car behind is within a certain distance behind you so their headlights don't dazzle you in the rear view mirror. I had it im my old 3 series, it's a nice extra to have but i don't miss it.
  19. I'll be keeping a keen eye on this thread, when i wind my windows up and down there is an awful grating sound and i have the same vertical scratches on my windows. I'll clean the rubbers this weekend if it's warm enough and see what products i have lying around to tackle the scratches Jon edit: i'll get the door card of this weekend
  20. I only seem to be using my car to drive to and from my missus at the mo and thought my 17.8 MPG was bad and thats all town driving. Gonna go for a blast this weekend to clear the cobwebs out
  21. How about a stack of the front and rear Z badges to replace the standard Nissan burgers... i mean the ones like these but not necessarily Carbon http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4063/4660158893_10fd6b0993_z.jpg They'd sell well i reckon, plus i'm after a set but with import and postage charges they become a little over priced.
  22. Here's one thread about the window reset procedure I quickly found which gives you an idea how easy it is to try. First thing I did to my car when I got it as the drivers window was doing strange things.
  23. Welcome, and congrats on your new zed. I plan to use kaiser motors for my servicing etc and I live no where near them, plenty of great reviews about them on this site. http://www.kaizermotor.co.uk/ For the window I'd try the window reset procedure yourself before getting a garage to look at it, search so Dow reset and there are plenty of posts. It is common for the window motors to fail on these cars though but fingers crossed for you. For the arm rest take it off and see if you can repair it at all, if not pm ZMANALEX for any spares you need. Jon
  24. If we have a sunny day any time soon you are welcome to swing by Eastleigh and we can go out in mine. There is no point in the wet as i haven't got round to changing the budgets the previous owner fitted to mine before i bought it, i can't drive it with the traction control on in the wet as it activates sooooo often. When i was looking for a new car in October i narrowed my search to either a 3.0 Z4, and S2000 or my Zed. I'd still like either of the other too tbh and will own an S2000 one day i think. Stumbled across your S2000 on Gumtree last night, looks very clean. Jon
  25. I swear ive read several threads in the past where the belts have been lose and people have fitted a smaller one instead.... http://www.350z-uk.c...l__+gates +belt
