  1. I used to do it a lot when i was younger, i struggle to find time these days now i actually have a nice car to go thrashing about in :-( I find giving the car a good clean very relaxing too.
  2. Thanks for letting me know, i must admit i was a bit worried when you e-mailed me yesterday as i was expecting it to be delivered yesterday. I thought i'd leave it another day before worrying you, lol. Please ignore the dodgy music, i haven't got a laptop to update it Oh and the arm band thing is brand new, so not covered in someone elses sweat.
  3. It would probably cost as much as the lance to post the foam too, 1st dibs have been called on the lance on its own already if i cannot sell to someone local enough to collect . I think i'll hold out 1 more week before considering selling the lance on it's own, then i'll offer it to Daryl. As of yesterday it's on Gumtree too. Jon
  4. welcome, here is a link to the buyers guide http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/22880-guide-for-new-memberspotential-buyers/ it's helpful if you put up your location too, as some members wishing to sell their car may let you know if they are in your area. Good luck with your hunt Jon
  5. Sat Nav and Karcher + snow foam lance still for sale Jon
  6. Ha ha she's not that bad, I do like a challenge though so we'll see if I get the money together. Unfortunately I actually want to sell the car, being 6ft 4" I'm a bit tired of carefully slotting myself in and out of the car in car parks to avoid damaging my car, plus it was supposed to be a weekend car but I rarely have time to enjoy it. Now the front end has been resprayed it's a bit gut wrenching watching the car accumulate stone chips again too Sadly for her I'm the most stubborn person, the more she suggests I should sell the longer I shall keep it. Flip key sold to Dave-350 PM'd Luke Pitt about the sat nav - awaiting response PM'd Benedunn about gear knob and iPod - awaiting response 2nd dibs for iPod and sat nav goes to The Chubby Ninja
  7. Pm'd about the key Dave-350 If someone wants the foam separately I'll sell the lance on its own to you Daryl Ok so to replace the hose in the karcher it is about £15 not £10 as I initially thought http://bit.ly/18DlqWJ Here is the forum link the the guide on sorting the flip key http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/67735-flip-key-nearly-sorted/page__hl__flip Jon
  8. car tax is due in a couple of months and my girlfriend has flipped out.... again.... that I'm spending out on my car..... again, lol "your cars not practical, you need a family car, my car costs £30 a year to tax what's wrong with my megane" etc etc etc So, I've been set a challenge, I get to keep the car if I get rid of some of the unused bits and bobs around the house to make up the money for my tax! So here goes, 1st for sale thread i'm sure, First up I have my very used karcher pressure washer, snow foam lance and maybe 3 litres of snow foam, I don't use it anymore as I don't have a drive just allocated parking and my neighbour went potty every time I snow foamed my car and I covered his clean car in snow foam too, whoops! Since storing the karcher away a hose has split, but can be replaced for £10 on eBay last time I looked. I've just checked that it all works and if it wasn't for the split hose it would be fine. The karcher is very scratched as sadly it was dragged around the car as I was snow foaming but as said apart from the split hose works fine. Included is a snow foam lance with karcher fitment and some left over foam as pictured. Bought from one of the detailing sites originally, maybe cleanyourcar.co.uk And the split hose... £50 collected or £30 collected for just snow foam lance and foam Tom Tom one sat nav, not sure on size but it's a small one with suction cup and power cigarette lighter lead, no packaging or USB lead. All in working order and good condition. £25 posted And lastly a couple of blu-rays Only watched once each, Drive and Safe House £5 each posted Any questions then please PM or reply here, I can provide more photos if needed, collection from Eastleigh, Hampshire SO50 postcode Thanks, Jon
  9. Good work, i didn't think aboutdoing a guide when i did mine. I went a step further and removed the bluetooth cradle off the floor as seen in your pic. i ran my usb lead into the cubby for my stereo, may move this into my non sat nav cubby though and mount an iphone holder of some sort that can rotate horizontally to make it easier for sat nav on my phone
  10. Thought that video would have ended differently, well done that man!
  11. Saw that on Russell Howards TV show the other day, seriously genius stuff.
  12. I'm jealous that no one is jealous of my car I'll hapilly tell anyone how much i paid for my car though as people often ask, to me the Zed is a great car for the money and i love telling them they can be bought for 2nd hand Ford Focus money, haven't talked anyone into buying one yet though. Jon
  13. I know, lol, i was originally waiting to see the outcome of you dipping them and i would have bought them off you. I don't think Carbon would work with my car as it stands though hence me looking at spraying instead. That would be very helpful, thankyou. I'll contact you after payday if you still have them and want to sell them as my Birthday celebrations next week will probably empty my bank account. Jon
  14. I was reading this guide the other day.... http://my350z.com/forum/body-interior-exterior-and-lighting-diy/467030-painted-door-handles-removal-and-installation-4.html apparently there is a clip on the back of the handles you can fiddle with which holds the handle open rather than using wedges etc, not even looked at mine yet though to see if this works as i have no where to store my car with no door handles attached If anyone doesn't mind posting pics of there car with gunmetal handles that would be helpful, i need to see different shades applied to handles to find a close match to my wheels, the gunmetal i used for my badges is a little too dark so they need to be re-done too. Jon
  15. It's common i believe and worse when cold.
  16. Thanks for the post RT i'm not unhappy with the product at all, just wondered if it was normal.
  17. Thanks for the offer , thinking about it i'll get some gloss black wrap as it will match the colour of the splitter better. I'm getting worried i have too many shades of grey and black on my car already having silver paintwork, gun metal wheels, gun metal badges, gloss black splitter, if i add carbon wrap too it'll start to look a bit patchwork won't it......mmmmm.
  18. Thanks for the input, thats a little more re-assuring. I was thinking about power coating the bumper bar to disguise the gap a little. I wouldn't say i have a slight gap though I'll get a picture on here this evening
  19. I'll have to get some pictures tonight after work. I've had a browse on the forum trying to see fitted pictures of the splitters on other cars and i don't notice a gap in other peoples It's a pre facelift car if that makes a difference too.
  20. Could anyone who has a Mines or RT replica splitter fitted tell me if the centre part of the splitter that covers the centre lip of the bumper covers the full lip? I seem to have a gap where the splitter finishes and the black plastic slotted grill starts, as i have a silver car it stands out like a sore thumb. I assumed upon inspection in the body shop this was normal (as it is an RT performance splitter being fitted by RT perfromance) so didn't question it, what i didn't notice until getting home was that the gap is slightly larger on the near side and i'm now thinking the splitter is faulty Thanks, Jon
