Some one who inspired me to get a "Z" had a similar problem when he left it stationary for a while. The problem in his car was the battery. Got himself a new battery and had no problems with the boot opening. Good luck .

So I attended my first meet ...Wales 2013 ...and was advised to try the K1 without bungs......As much as I had read up that they can be "LOUD".... I decided to experiment and got them removed ....After a couple of days I am now partially deaf...and the bungs are in. Not to mention I am on the hit list of many in the neighborhood .

+1 I've had mine for nearly 6 months and absolutely love it. If I want to go bananas I take the bungs out... rest of the time with the bungs in it is still entertaining and drive able...EVEN ON MOTORWAYS. mine does get the metal polish every now and then...
