  1. Performance of my Monster kit remans excellent Adrian. Progressive, highly effective at all speeds with ZERO squeal of low speeds/cold pads. Only issue I have encountered is the calipers have lost their nice gloss finish - are now a dull red/white. Ed DivineDetail was unable to restore the shine when he detailed the Zed recently - - this is despite me only ever using a pH neutral product to clean my wheels and calipers. David
  2. Fitting guide here just in case you buy them: http://www.350z-uk.c...bonnet-dampers/ Very easy to fit. I am now a Cardiff resident and be happy to help you if you buy them. I have fitted these to my 350 and my GTR and it is a doddle. David
  3. BUMP - am moving house soon and would rather not take this with me! Bargain to be had.
  4. Exit from my underground car park is def steeper than that and I don't have any issues. Car is lowered by about 15mm David
  5. Can't imagine it will be more than £15. If you re interested in purchasing, I will be at Knightracer near MK on Saturday - would be happy to bring the grille with me and meet locally. David
  6. Anodised black Zunsports grille (with fixing instructions and screws) for Facelift model. £65 plus P&P.
  7. The 6 month service is simply an oil and filter change and a general check over. Many owners are ditching this (according to the forum), although I am sticking with it and had mine done at SVM recently for not many ££££. See their website for prices. Litchfield will only warrant cars that have been 100% serviced by them or a Nissan HPC (they don't even accept Sly at Kaizer Motors as acceptable - which is bizarre as he is a master Nissan technician and supplies and fits Litchfield tuning kits!). Autotorque (R35 trader) will warrant GTRs after giving them a healthcheck but you then need to use them for servicing. They quoted £1600 for my 4.25 tune level. Haven't heard bad words about them and their warranty cover looks good, I decided just to pocket the money and "self insure". Transmissions on early models can be a tad problematic but not on ALL cars and even newer ones aren't 100% without trouble either. ACSpeedtech in Warrington are top specialists - they rebuilt my transmission and upgraded all the points of failure for a shade under £5k (under warranty cover from dealer from initial purchase!), rarely heard of a rebuilt tranny failing. Tyres aren't really that expensive for what you are relying on to transmit a lot of bhp through - can def renew all 4 (MPSS) for under 1k if you shop around. Brakes - OEM are silly money - but plenty of reputable after market brands and traders around. Pads - well yes a good pair will be perhaps £250 - £300 - again you are pulling (potentially a LOT of) speed off a big car and the wear rate is totally up to how hard you push the GO & STOP pedals! Am totally biased towards the GTR so my opinion on whether to buy one of not is irrelevant, but they can be immense fun. You might find them somewhat clinical until you really push them and get the electronics working with you - you would be surprised how nimble - for an 1800 Kg car - they can be. I completed a CAT Driver Training day recently and that was money well spent - taught me a lot about how these cars behave.. The DO attract a LOT of attention - (not just from 14 yr old boys!) - all age ranges and both genders are drawn to them. David
  8. I have the +4mm and it feels absolutely perfect. David
  9. Congrats and welcome to performance motoring with a capital "P". Lovely colour too. Don't try a modified one - unless you want to realise the huge performance and drivability gain that can be had for very few £! (Stage 4 or 4.25 is the sweet spot.) David.
  10. Had a little trip to the ZShed today and Chris replaced the cabin pollen filter, by the looks of it this could well have been the original (!) as I can't find any indication on my services invoices of one having been replaced before - yeeeewwwww - not the most exciting "mod" - - but Chris is now a fully accredited GTR technician! The plan had been to fit some new carbon skirts but I had suspected, and it was proven as soon as I saw them (they were delivered straight to the ZShed), that what the seller supplied was a set of carbon skirt extensions - which although top quality carbon items - they aren't what I bought - so a little "to & fro" with the ebay seller about to ensue! Next up is a "hidden" mod - having the interior/doors fully soundproofed while I'm on holiday then when back its new exhaust time - replace the too loud Japspeed with a more civilised Miltek unit. That should, according to Litchfield, liberate the missing top end 10-15 bhp as a dyno run last week "only" gave me 645 bhp -
  11. Can Adrian count as high as 4? Oh... wait... I see what you mean - David
  12. He's all talk and no trousers lol To be fair to the guy - he has only just had a complete front end respray done!

    CHEAP GTR

Which makes it an ancillary drive belt

According to the ad "It has had a new drive belt fitted" - hmm what's one of those? I certainly don't have one on mine. That is ludicrously cheap by easily £10k - too good to be true. David
  15. Really Matt? Renders as white text on a blue background wherever I log on to it. Also you can scroll to the bottom of the the page, there is a pull down menu to change to black text on white background. David
  16. Wheels were refurbished today, as I dislike black/dark wheels INTENSELY and liking the steel grey of my Zed's Rota PWR I went for something quite close. It is in fact AUDI R8 OEM colour. Fully chemically stripped, damage made good, black undercoat, wet paint colour, powder coat lacquer and voila - something different!
  17. On way up to Silverstone yesterday I popped into Knight Racer and Albert's guys instantly descended on my car and about an hour later they had fitted this lovely carbon diffuser and aero blades. I have a set of sideskirts waiting to put on and am now wondering what front end splitter I want to fit. PS Wheels are being refurbed in a different colour on Wednesday - will bore you all with that later - David
  18. You have PM - I may be able to assist! David Whoops - peabrain here thought he had a set of black nuts - turns out they are steel/chrome!
  19. I am rarely moved to reply to many posts but in response to this one I would simply say "no".
