  1. Cheers guys, yep im definitely loving the wheels makes the car now! I thought it was going to stay standard (ish) but over the year ive had it its anything but dread to think the amount spent however its now and will be even more a properly awesome machine, does everything for me. Long comfy journeys, track days and fast road blasts plus being a daily. Great car!
  2. My box used to be a tad notchy from 2nd to 3rd even after I changed the gearbox oil (genuine nissan sports oil) and added moly slip, but once the hel line went on with the new ate superblue fluid it went, so yeah I think it has made a difference plus round the ring in June it was a pleasure to drive and work with well worth the extra 20 quid for doing ot properly
  3. I didnt change the slave just the line, it will take higher temperatures and wont expand like the oem line for a more consistent change when track driving For 20 quid be rude not to while your there imo

    Y pipe and Cats

My cobra was one for around 100 miles then sold it as I planned to change exhaust but keeping mine now so wish I never sold it If one comes up for sale id probably go for it again though
  5. Change the clutch line for a braided one aswell while your there and replace the clutch/brake fluid with high temp stuff

    Y pipe and Cats

Id go for a y pipe with flexis in personally, they do help with the movement of the exhaust. I had a cobra item and it was great quality also if you fancied decats would be the better option whilst your there, youll just need a friendly mot tester
  7. Time for another entry, Many more parts have arrived and the pile of bits to fit is rather large However it will all be fitted soon just need to confirm a space to use so we can get the engine out and install it all. To say im looking forward to it is an understatement so looking forward to how the car is going to change and get even better again! So first up, i got my wheels and nuts fitted last week so happy with these they do make the car as a whole. I will get a picture of the whole car when its clean and ready for a photo, i must say im very impressed with the wheel nuts aswell they are from demon tweeks and they seemed to be the only nuts around i could find that i needed which was they had to be gold, had to have a locking tool and had to be steel. I dont think ive seen anyone using these before but im happy to say if anyone is looking for nuts that need to meet the same criteria as i did then go for them, they do them in green to! The quality is great, no marks made when fitting. Next up is the LED kit Chris (cs2000) has recently compiled, Ive been on the lookout for LEDs ever since i got the car but never knew which ones to go for so when Chrs decided to do a kit using the best available i jumped at the 1st set Got them fitted this evening, Im saving the front sidelight ones for when the headlights come out when the engines being done so much easier, also i didnt opt for the vanity mirror lights as i like the as they are. For the money i dont think Chris' kit can be beaten especially when it comes with a plastic pry tool and instructions! Cheers Chris Dome lights Boot light Side repeaters Number plate The last of my engine build parts are now stockpiled with the rest Genuine Rocker covers (Thanks Alex, cheapest by a fair bit even with my Nissan discount!) Genuine rocker cover gaskets and crankshaft pilot bearing, spring and washer also an uprated chromoly steel clutch pivot ball (Courtesy of Alex again) Competition Clutch ultra lightweight steel flywheel (As usual impeccable service and customer care from Mitz at Cougar Store, Cheers mate! ), Genuine flywheel bolts Exedy organic clutch kit with uprated Koyo release bearing (again everytime i purchase from Mitz at CS is 110%, Spending ££££ on the beast never felt so secure and anything i need at the end of the phone!) Denso iridium spark plugs and genuine coolant (Got the coolant free so that saved £50! Thanks Nissan ) Xenons online 6000k 35w HID D2R dipped beam bulbs and Chris' LED sidelight bulbs Once this is all on the car is pretty much complete, I know its already a properly capable car but the thought of driving it properly when everything new is on and bedded in is getting me SO excited So as it stands the next time i update this it should all be fitted, cannot wait! Cheers for tuning in all Arran
  8. Just installed mine, very nice! Just about to go out in the dark and have a look will update my journal later tonight so everyone can see
  9. There's a few lol eagles tigers cats sharks
  10. Much much easier with it out which is what il be doing at the same time as my clutch and lightweight flywheel and oil cooler 3 hours for engine out roughly so saves alot of time over doing it in situ
  11. Japspeed are copies of dc sports but I bet the quality is no way near, dc sports and stillen are the most sensibly priced but great quality do it once do it properly imo it's not a nice job but well worth it if the opportunity arises
  12. Ive got my Dc sports ceramic coated ones going on in a few weeks, the stock isnt great on the DE but the HR has equal length as standard. There's definitely good gains to be had on the DE. Dont get cheap ones like japspeed or megan. Brands id look at would be DC Sports, stillen, nismo if you have lots of money or if I hadn't got my dc's for a good deal id have got Tomei ones.
  13. If you want good wheel protection use Poorboys wheel sealant, put 2-3 coats on and it will last
  14. I said to myself last year when I got the 350 its staying standard, its great out the box. erm yeah ....... Hate to think the amount spent!
  15. 10w40 semi is completely the wrong oil though so there is cause for concern imo
  16. Wrong grade oil and it needs to be fully synthetic and its not that great oil either You need 5w30 fully synthetic

    OiI usage....?

If it's using oil and runs fine I bet its the rocker cover central seals namely the back two cylinders, take the plugs out and check
