  1. The question when I sold my sc zed was, is there a better car out there for you, before you pump 7k ish into it if you sold the zed then suddenly had 15k?
  2. You weren't hanging around! Does your car have forced induction?
  3. Cheers, was a great day. The main straight is just over 140mph as its quite uphill and although I tried thats as quick as it wanted to go, but from Flugplatz that section is quite down hill so you get to just under that, 135mphish (obviously not really looking at the speedo too much while going round) there but then theres a few 120mph corners in there too so its a very fast circuit and there's definitely more time I could've taken off round there too but its not a 10/10ths place when you've got to drive home the next day, its best to give it 8-9 and just enjoy yourself, I already can't wait to go next year! You'll have to let me know when you're going I'm going to try get out there 3/4 times next year
  4. Looked really smooth, I see what you mean with no so many cars on the dedicated days. Made it look easy!
  5. So who's going be buying FIFA 17? Any FUT players on here?
  6. I have a build thread on here somewhere, it's running 320, the HKS charger I'm using has restrictor plates so there could be more power but would need a built engine which I'm not ready for yet lol. So did you do a actual track day not a public session on the ring?
  7. Thanks! They are great tyres, I used them on my old Evo 5 and now the new "R" version and both are really impressive and I've been really happy with, they've not got the outright grip of the Michelin Cups but they're not as far off as people might like to admit and you're not guaranteed a accident if it starts raining so I think they are a better tyre all round. The AD08R is the control tyre for world time attack so they cant be bad!! I don't think I will strip the Zed as I am trying to keep it as a good GT car for trips to alps etc. having it as it is now I think is the perfect balance for me I see your 86 is charged so that must be a great car, were you out on track at the 'ring in it and how did you get on? It is 10x better than anyone can tell you out there isn't it..............I love the place When the replacements are needed I'll get myself a set, hope the uk roads don't destroy them! I did 9 laps and the car was brilliant being supercharged the power was there but tbh it really takes some getting used to the track. The place is amazing just a brilliant atmosphere out there. I'm hoping to be back out in April maybe I'm waiting for the 2017 calendar to be released then I'll look at booking something.
  8. Top top stuff! Interesting you're using the Yokohama I've been hearing great stuff about them, thinking of using them next on my 86. I noticed this is a road car aswell are you thinking of partly stripping it aswell? The seats and bar look brilliant!
  9. Very jealous you two are going soon! Was out there from the 9th -12th this month, what a place!
  10. So next on my list was to get some coilovers, after being told the Teins weren't available for when I needed, I researched the American forums and found ST Suspension. ST XTA coilover is what I went for, manufactured directly at KW, they have adjustable damping with top mounts, also a nice drop in height was a must! Next was my trip to the Nurburgring, the second this year. First time round I was very fortunate to be riding with Bennett and had a unforgettable weekend, where I got a good taste and appreciation for the place. It's an amazing place to go and meeting so many like minded people with the same passion is incredible! The coilovers and alignment were carried out at Fensport, a great service and highly recommended. I asked for a fast road/ track setup and the car feels unbelievable, after letting a number of people with performance cars drive my car, they have commented on how great my 86 is and how much enjoyement you can have in it. The 86 at the ring... it was quite daunting going on to the track, once the barriers had gone up there was no going back! The respect you have to have for the track is unreal, it was highly challenging but after a few laps then having Bennett coach me it became very rewarding. The car performed faultlessly, I completed 9 laps in total over the long weekend, but by the end to say I was hooked is an understatement! I really hope to complete some driver training and UK trackdays before getting back out there next year, 3/4 trips next year is the aim. Next on the list for me is upgraded brake pads and lines, the oem discs and pads worked well but if I want to push on some better pads should help me out. I also need to have the car raised slightly as my front arch liners took a beating, I believe it was the bottom of Foxhole and the Carousel which took these out! Seeing so many stripped out cars with cages and upgraded seats really got me thinking how far to go with the car, next year the stripping process may begin.
  11. Totally agree with the above price drive a hard bargain
  12. Picking my new car this was a strong contender, what a weapon!
  13. After going to the Ring with Bennett this weekend, I can confirm nothing can come close to this car. The GTR is in a league of its own!
  14. O wow them wheels really do change the car!
  15. A good driver in a heap of shite will always cane a shite driver I always work on the basis Firstly: Driver Secondly: road knowledge Thirdly: Car Rob You sound like a bit of a racer Rob . Nah, I,m an old git with a roadster but I can really shuffle the wife's duke in "sports mode" Rob Ditto: The only difference is I don't have a wife: I have the 1.2 dig-t and that is a lot of fun to drive lol like you mention throw it around and it just enjoys it!
