Sorry to hear that, it's a worry for me as my Zed likes a bit of oil and that bloody dipstick is impossible to read.

Yeah from my reading threads I find it unlikely it's the ARB bushings also, but I guess I have to go with my mechanic on this, If the ARB's are worn then I guess they need changed anyway. Trial & error game. I know what you're saying, but my way of thinking is, if you buy new bushes and that's not the problem, is the mechanic gonna refund you for them and not charge you labour since he hasn't done @*!# to fix the problem? Yeah you are 100% right, but I tried to diagnose the problem with no joy, it's been bugging me for months now.

At what sort of speed is the knocking happening ? I would say more noticeable at low speeds, but it's more a road surface issue, an uneven surface really highlights the knocking.

Must try this, I can drive with full beam on (which I find I need to to see anything) and not annoy any oncoming motorists, haven't been flashed yet.

Thanks guys, yeah thought it was that, but wanted to be sure, front suspension has that many components didnt want to get wrong ones. Is this known to cause front end knocking?

Hi all, Item No19 stabiliser arm bushing, do we refer to it as something else? Which of our traders supplies them? I've front end knocking and my mechanic says this is the problem. Cheers.

I had the same problem with my driver seat, for months it was a matter of pushing back and forward until it eventually started, really was a nuisance as the driving position difference between me and Mrs made it impossible for me to get into the car. I had enough one day and removed the whole seat assembly, removed the whole switch mechanism and gave the whole unit a clean down with WD40, amazing the amount of grime gathers down in there. That was months ago and it has preformed flawlessly since. Hope you sort it, bit of time and elbow grease required.

I'll put my hands up and say this is what happened to me, the zed is my 1st car with cruise control, I was using it on a B road which was stupid, rounded a bend to see 2 farmers happily stopped having a chat in their tractors and silage trailers blocking both lanes, so went to brake & nothing, panic set in and I was, as far as I was concerned braking with all my might but seemed to be getting faster, to this day I don't know how I got between those 2 tractors prob at 60Mph, I know for sure it was my fault and in panic I was pressing clutch pedal, never again will I use cruise control on B roads I could have killed my wife & myself that day leaving our kids orphans. Someone or something was on my side that day, needless to say new underware was needed. Felt like I had been in an accident for a few days after, my body felt stiff & sore. Lesson learned.
