Just put my details through google compare and got quoted £195 by Admiral, I'll be making a phone call Monday morning, insurance renewal is due 10th June.

Got to admit I'd complain about excessive noise and skips also, maybe that's just me being old.

Just read the whole thread, fair play to you for tackling this job, hope you get all sorted. Not sure the noises you are hearing can be attributed to low oil levels? But I haven't a clue really.

As one door closes another opens, keep the chin up, hopefully you can find something better soon.

Tyres are supposed to be ok for 10 years from manufacture. There's a way to tell when they were made so you can check. Do you use lots of tyre dressing? The silicone in a lot of tyre shine products dries the rubber out and makes it crack over time. Yeah they are def 2008, no I don't use any tyre shine on them at all, but maybe last owner did, I know car sat idle for about a year before I bought her? Only one tyre has this problem, both tyres same age 2008.

I've a pair of Kuhmo on the front of my Z, they were on her when I got her, I've added about 20K to them, loads of thread left but this is the sidewall, guess it's an age thing. Think they are 2008.

I was on a budget and short time scale, and the only tyres I could get fitted were Nangkangs. Only had them on for a week, but don't see what all the fuss is about. Haven't driven it hard, as I was bedding the tyres in, but I've been driving around town, motorway etc - Doesn't feel anything different to my old bridgestones. You're not going to die with them on I'm sure someone will be along to tell me I'm an idiot and my car is going to implode for running them. Unfortunately my budget does not stretch to MPSS either, as said I suppose it all depends how the car is used/driven my car is mostly used by the Mrs for short runs, or the odd weekend away 300 mile round trip, car doesn't get thrashed or driven hard, was offered tyres @ £60 a corner think they were NumKang or something.
