  3. Thats what you get with Mitz & the team. Big up CS
  4. Yes guys i get the 370 clutch reek too! (11.5k on my odo) Had to nurse my lowerded 370 over nasty ramp on the way out of a car park last night. As the ramp was on a steep incline (& i needed to go over it very slowly to avoid scrape) i had to ride the clutch a fair bit using high revs. The stench inside my car was appauling but it did clear quickly once out on the open road. Absolutely no hint of any slip i hasten to add. I smell it to some extent everytime i have to ride cluth with slightly raised revs on the engine. Seems fairly common & in my view, shouldn't really be happening!! Anything to worry about??..... I guess time will be the judge of that! Marco
  5. This is heartbreaking!!.... From one Mark to another RIP.
  6. Hi Phil & welcome. Im 30mins from you up in Wigton!! Look forward to seeing some pics of your Blk Edtn.
  7. Hello mate. This is a great place to be.....lots of reading & knowledge available.
  8. Hi Luke Congrats & welcome. This is the place to be if you have a 'Zed'
  9. Howdee Kris. Welcome to the forum.
  10. Woop Woop RESULT Obviously Nissan UK have been taking notice of the data collected from Main Dealers & probably also the ever growing list of failures reported right here on the forum. Really chuffed for all 370z owners. A great day indeed for all. Marco
  11. Good luck Will mate. We now collectivly know a lot about the symptoms/quirks & sequence of events that lead up to total failure of the steering lock assembly. Mine failed in the unlock mode & so luckily i was able to steer her directly onto the AA's flatbed. I was kind of lucky, in that my 370 failed facing downhill & didn't take a lot of pushing on. Mine (which is also lowered nearly 30MM) just about went on ok without use of a winch but tbh i was 'bricking it' as i guided my car onto the flatbed!! Final note....It is very possible that the complete motor assembly (which you need) will be on back order. Possibly 2-3 weeks for Nissan to get the part into UK from via Holland. Once they get hold of the thing it can easily be swapped over in less than an hour. Marco
  12. I always seem to be a harbinger of doom Will.# You know what... my steering lock issue started with the' replace battery warning' icon too. I duely replaced with a new battery but ultimately the inevitible happened Re The assembly!! I still think you have a steering lock assembly problem but i hope i'm 100% wrong. # That said. you won't be particularly worried as your on great terms with your local NMD. Have a top weekend mate. Marco Marco
  13. Im no diagnostics expert but i'd have thought that the ECU would have recordered & stored the fault code the second the key light illuminated!!Suprised that it actually needs to be illunmnated in order to diagnose! Good luck to you if you get away with replacing the full steering lock assembly but i'm afraid i'm somewhat pessimistic about the outcome here. marco
  14. Exactly the same symptoms as mine Will ie intermittant at first. Also (like yourself) i had 1 month of manufacturers warranty remaining. Even though the amber key light is not illuminating at present IT WILL happen again mate & fairly soon too. At that point your odds are shortening very quickly. Its all down to luck. Forget the battery in the keyfobs...sure it can be that but it wont be in this case. Your dealer has now obviously logged the problem which is great. So now when it goes completely & immobilises your whole vehicle Nissan will sort it for you at their expense. I logged the intermittant problem with the intelligent key light with my MD & then gambled. Result...had to have her flat bedded back to my dealer by the AA (1 week out of waranty). Because i'd already had the problem logged weeks earlier Nissan (Benfield Carlisle) were fine with me. As is usual for an 'out of waranty' they first had to have the repair approved by head office and then duely sorted it for me. There was a 2-3 week wait for the new immobiliser circuit box which was on back order. Came in from Holland i think. Courtesey car provided in the intrim. Good result in the end for me but....HOW MANY MORE BEFORE AN OFFICIAL BLANKET RECALL NISSAN?????
  15. Ok Mark...Understood. I'll have to see if i can plan a trip down to yours to coincide with something else while i'm down there. 600mile round trip!!
  16. Anyone know if MoreThan are mod friendly??
  17. Cool.... So all i need to do now is wait & see where you decide your satellite 'set ups' are going to be Mark (ie more Northly locations) PM me on here when you know more & we'll get it on Marco
  18. Geat info Mark...thanks. So there are certainly gains to be had for me but the HFC's really do seem to make a world of difference! If you did a remap for me with the Berks fitted & then i subsequently decided (for whatever reason) that they wern't for me, would changing the cats back to standard necessitate another remap or would it just be a simple case of changing the cats back over and i'm good to go! ??? Really appreciate your offer of trying the HFC's btw!!
  19. Well your the expert Mark so i have to respect what you say. Anything i've ever read about HFC's on the 370 say that there is an annoying hiss as the revs drop back to idle! I find my Non res Milltek to be just the right volume (decibel wise) Surely the Berks HFC's would further increase volume above & beyond?? Did the car you did today have the HFC's & HKS panels aswell or was it upreved with stock cats & panels like mine currently has?? Marco
  20. What is the potential for mine Mark??... 370z GT Full Non resonated Milltek system but standard cats )because i want to avoid the 'hiss' HFC's can create) Standard panel filters currently fitted.
