    Winter Tyres

Oh it all makes sense now, I drive a gunmetal 2004 GT, it's away for the winter now but will be back out come march/April time

    Winter Tyres

I see your car in Sturry all the time, near a certain alternative mode of transport

Do you mean the a2 between Canterbury and Dover? Need to start keeping an eye out for you, that's my neck of the woods
  4. Found this on Gumtree: http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/nissan-350z-alloy-wheels-rare-by-ray-forged-18-offers/1037251480#photo-content If anyone needs a set who lives near Birmingham, looks like a bargain to me Jez
  5. I almost bought a set of rays this year, until I got to see them and found that all four were 8j, the seller insisted that it made no difference but ZMANALEX said otherwise...
  6. Fair comment, but given the choice I'd take a fwd with a smaller contact patch over a rwd in the snow any day, I can't argue the physics.
  7. If I write the 206 off in the winter, I've lost less than a months worth of fuel for the zed
  8. I'm already at a distinct advantage in the winter driving a light front wheel drive car than a zed equipped with four snow tyres and too much torque, I figured having two winter tyres on the driving axle was still better than none at all. My paranoia comes not from my lack of driving skill, but rather other road users who don't give a second thought about visibility and stopping distances.
  9. Last year I got stuck at a friends house, bottom of a cul-de-sac with a steep slope upto the main carriageway and had to be pushed up by three passers-by. I said this year I would buy a winter shed instead of the grief of worrying about the zed over the winter. Bought myself a 1999 206, two Avon Ice Touring tyres for the front and a set of snow chains for the puny 14s. I'm no more precious about mine than anyone else here but the car cost £200, tyres £35 each and the total is still less than my excess on the zed, compulsory excess of £100 so win win as far as I can see. Not sure why more people don't do this, when I say to people I have a winter car they look at me like I've gone mad
  10. Looks fantastic, would look even better with some Muteki SR48 extended wheel nuts
  11. Hi, I'm looking for a complete OEM air filter for my 2004, I need everything including the pipe that runs from the airbox to the plenum. I need all the associates fixings as well, the only thing I don't need is the filter itself, nissan gave me one when I had it serviced a few months back. Thanks Jez
  12. Hi all, Just to give you an update, I have now got a box containing two brand spanking new TP34 tips, provided courtesy of Cougar Sport I know I need to formally post on the For Sale forum but I would be open to offers between £450 and £500, and collection is preferred if at all possible.
  13. I bought a Peugeot 206 for a couple of hundred quid to get me through the winter months, I know it's a Nissan but I'm too precious about it to be worried about whether I can get to work and back home again in the snow. 14 inch wheels mean winter tyres cost me £30 each
  14. It's a cat-back exhaust, which includes the Y-pipe, mid-section and backbox, which I will be selling as complete (not splitting for parts).
  15. I'm less than convinced that Cobra would be willing to supply new tips at no cost to me, I can put a call through to them tomorrow and see though.
  16. I have no further want or need for it, but as it is a popular exhaust I thought it would be of some use to someone.
  17. Hello and welcome Where in Kent are you?
  18. It's the resonated version, purchased June 2012. The tips were lost due to the fact that they were held in place with the supplied circlips, which being made of thin steel, gradually fell to pieces causing the tips to come away (I never found either one, unfortunately). I am aware that Cobra Sport are aware of this, and provide uprated circlips. Obviously the price would reflect the lack of tips as these would need to be sourced, but I believe these can be purchased by themselves from Cougar Store. Any queries, just ask Jez
  19. Hi all, I'll be looking to formally sell my Cobra system at some point next week, it is in perfect working order but due to an unfortunate event I have lost both exhaust tips, so these would need to be sourced. I'll need to pick it up from Nissan next week and I can take some photos, but would it be of any interest to anyone or is it only good to be scrapped? Obviously I would need to enquire about postage costs but I'd be curious to know what you guys would be prepared to pay for the entire system, minus the tips. Thanks Jez
  20. I've found these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MUTEKI-SR48-RED-LUGNUTS-12x1-5-HONDA-CIVIC-ACCORD-S2000-ACURA-INTEGRA-SCION-XB-/400550600157?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d42ad1ddd Is 12x1.5 correct, I have no idea?
  21. Hi all, Anyone have any suggestions as to where I could buy some extended wheel nuts (in the UK, possibly!) I've had a look on eBay and the ones on there look a bit cheap to be honest, I like the look of the Volk Racing ones which are silver with an inner red core, just wondered if I could find some by searching under a different name or something. Thanks Jez
  22. I have exactly the same on my 2004 GT, it's the receiver for the not-so-handy sat nav remote control!
  23. I lost both my exhaust tips last week thanks to the rusty clamps, not amused.
