That's the dirtiest Zed I've ever seen! GLWTS
-
Single mass.

Maybe we aren't talking about the same thing here, but my damper didn't connect to the top of the plenum, so a spacer is irrelevant? It's installed near the Power Steering bottle and connects to the timing chain case?
-
First post has been updated with the HR Kits. Only 5 more needed before I can order these, so please put your names down if interested.

What breathing mods and ecu would you guy recommend?
Paddy78 replied to Kerry's topic in Performance
All except the intake will be reusable if going FI. Just be warned, the power gains staying NA will be fairly minimal... probably 30bhp max, but the car will feel much better after a remap. -
Have a go... what's the worst that could happen (Bar an accident with the car falling on you, but if you even have an ounce of common sense this can't happen)? Worst case, you have to drive to a garage to get it sorted or send an SOS on here for someone local to help out.

They do look cool and Pro-Bolt stuff is quality, but for £10 less than that Pro-Bolt kit I'm also offering the bolts/washers for the throttle body as well as nearly every visible bolt in the front of the engine bay.
-
Yes, all bolts are stainless steel.

Hi all - moving from BMW Z4 to 350z or 370z soon !
Paddy78 replied to Jack Carter's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
You also lose 50bhp though for having the car in Racing (to the toilet) Brown. -
Will that be the Full DE or Standard DE? The kit comes with both sets of bolts now, so irrelevant if you have a spacer! Full DE = All bolts listed Standard DE is minus the 4 bolts which are under the DE OEM Engine Cover.
-
First post has been updated, also some pics below: I think they look spot on and 100x better than the originals... would look even better if my engine bay wasn't filthy! Just for you I've been looking into offering a set for the HR! I'm 95% there, just need to confirm some locations etc. As long as At least 7/10 kits ordered are DE, then the HR one should be doable! The DE Kits will include all the extra bolts required for both Spacer and No Spacer, so if you decide to get a Spacer at a later date, you won't have to worry about additional bolts. Done! Sorry, only the 5 colours! The washers are already anodised by the companies I'm getting them from, so custom colours will not be possible.

Any feedback / interest? Should I stick to buying rather than selling?

Try an airfield first as suggested. Elvington near York is supposed to be good, but might be further than Anglesey? http://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/elvington.htm

Hi Guys, I've now had a chance to get the majority of the bolts fitted and there are some pictures below of what will be included in each kit. I think it looks really good an makes a huge difference over the grotty originals (Even if my bay is in desperate need of a clean! ) The 4 Kits will consist of the following (They will include both Spacer / No Spacer length bolts for the DE versions): Full DE Kit - Bolts/Washers 1-41 (82 Pieces + 18 extra bolts for Spacer) - £52 Delivered Standard DE Kit (Without 4 Bolts/Washers obscured by the DE Engine Cover) - Bolts/Washers 1-24 and 29-41 (74 Pieces + 14 extra bolts for Spacer) - £49.50 Delivered Full HR Kit - Bolts/Washers 1-14 (1-13 are basically identical in position with 14 being for the left hand airbox on the HR) and 39-44 (40 Pieces) - £32.50 Delivered Standard HR Kit (Without any Bolts/Washers for the Throttle Bodies) - Bolts/Washers 1-14 (1-13 are basically identical in position with 14 being for the left hand airbox on the HR) (28 Pieces) - £27.50 Delivered The Kits are available in the following Colours: Blue Black Red Gold Silver Please Note: I will not place an order for the bolts / washers until I have a minimum of 10 orders (At least 7/10 have to be DE variations). I will not place the order with the suppliers until everyone has paid in full. I am using 2 different suppliers for the countersunk and cup washers so they may be slightly different shades / colours. Buying a set for myself has cost around £70, so you are getting a bargain! Pro-Bolt would charge you well over £100! Please put your names down if interested: i.e. Paddy78 - Blue - Full DE 1. Vlad - Blue - Full DE - Paid 2. Almeida1234 - Blue - Full DE - Paid 3. pagey - Black - Full DE - Paid 4. Tinyflier - Silver - Full DE - Paid 5. Dunks - Silver - Full DE - Paid 6. HaydnH - Red - Full HR - Paid 7. The Bounty Bar Kid - Red - Full HR - Paid 8. andy james - Silver - Full HR - Paid 9. sloutrou - Black - Full DE - Paid 9.5. Payco - Blue - DE Lower Bolts Only - Paid 10. Lummyno1 - Blue - Full DE 10. madmikester - Red - Full DE - Paid Mods: Please let me know if I'm breaching any of the trading rules or if I owe you money? I don't intend to start a business, just trying to help other members save a bit of money. Paddy

Prototype strut brace test fitted pics
Paddy78 replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
So getting one of these! Looks great Chris -
We've got a MK6 (Not the GT) and it's a lovely car. They do feel quicker off the line and accelerating in 4th gear can get you to silly speeds in a very short space of time. They obviously aren't quicker than a Zed, but the turbo kick is always fun and they handle pretty well too. I'd definitely get another.
-
Just means you can drift at higher speeds... so speaketh the drift king
-
At least they caught him. I bet we'd all be horrified by how many people drive like that but never get found out.
-
I think the 3D Carbon are the JDM Nismo which were slightly wider than the US version (Or vice versa).
-
I don't even live remotely near the Zed Shed, so you wouldn't even have to help sort out the mess!
-
Thanks Graham! Your's and Marky's were the 2 that I'd seen painted. I think I'll just spray that matt black to minimise the chances of destroying the TB.
-
Thanks guys, not sure I'm going to be the pioneer with stripping the TB... but you never know! Taking it apart will invariably break it though! I'm looking to get the same texture as the Takeda intake which I believe is slightly textured, like a wrinkle finish
-
I have managed to get hold of a spare Plenum and TB which I want to powder coat black (To match my black Takeda intake which is imminent). I know that people have powder coated plenums before, but has anyone ever done a TB? Is it even possible due to the electric current / heat and the fact that the TB has electric / plastic parts? What prep work should I be doing for the plenum before I take it to be PC'd or will they just sand blast / acid strip it? Same question for the TB if I have to paint it myself. I assume you can't just remove the rivets and separate the plastic control box from the body of the TB? Any help or advice appreciated!
