  1. I think the pre 14 bodywork looks gash but if you have to get one they look best in mugello blue. The black edition has a nice interior though. Post 14 they made some subtle improvements to the front bumper and alloys. Best colour is dark blue with anthracite alloys, looks smart. Failing that the MkI Nismo with added ChavWing looks best, in white or black. I went with the batman version in the end and it has awesome presence. Budgeting £1500-2000 for exhaust enhancements is absolutely essential though. Don't buy a 370z if you can't commit to this.
  2. I'd rather they did it that way than break my nose in a carjacking, or break into my house and terrorise my family in order to get the keys. I'm all for non-invasive theft...
  3. For the race so lazy they can't even hook a cable up to their car. More time for stuffing cakeholes with HFCS goodies. Nom nom. Bomb bomb.
  4. S2000, already shooting up. Nobody wants a 300ZX despite being much rarer than the 350. Supra and RX7 should be worth something if you have one that hasn't been Barry'd. I personally love the fiat coupe and 916 Alfa GTV.
  5. 1.5x over the Re050? I would contest that - no way you're getting 20k+ from MPSS.
  6. As ekona said make you sure get absolutely everything done - intakes, filters, plenum, manifolds, cats and exhaust etc before Uprevving. Power increases will be subtle along with throttle response benefits, but the noise will be epic and you'll have a sharp car to play with afterwards. Berk + Miltek is a good combo - no motorway booming but great rasp under WOT. Currently running Berk/Cobra on my 370ZN and it's much louder. Not necessarily a good thing for long motorway trips...
  7. MPSS are absolutely superb and compared to the OEM potenzas they are much quieter, better in the wet and offer more traction. They do not, however, last as long as the Bridgestones (I got 14k vs 18k for the latter). MPSC2 are another step above but wear even fast and are best left for track / summer cars due to being a bit hairy in the wet.
  8. Whatever you do avoid Mill Hill Nissan. Dreadful Nismo P1 service and never going back there. Took five hours and their car wash guy scratched the paintowork all over the rear arches. Furious.
  9. Very accurate review of the cobra exhaust imo.
  10. To be fair my buddies have run them like track slags so perhaps not surprising and the hanger 111 upgrades don't do much for longevity. Yep the evora just randomly decided to self-immolate one morning...
  11. Both of them (Exige s) have been mechanical nightmares, but they do get run absolutely ragged. Put me off getting an evora and got the 370 Nismo instead, saved a few quid too. Obviously not in the same league but I wanted something that could wear serious mileage and had good experience from 350s bulletproof powertrain. Other mate who had an evora which caught fire on his driveway randomly.
  12. Interesting. I think my exige owning mates have been impressed with it too, although obviously it can't keep up with them through the twisties. The torque flatters bad/lazy driving. Have to say the lateral grip has nothing on a 320S on R888 (and now he's upgraded to a V6). Nothing can touch these machines on the rare occasion that they actually work.
  13. Fyi I have berk hfc and a cobra exhaust on my 370, very loud but very epic.
  14. Exige V6 is an absolute weapon, hope the zed doesn't feel like too much of a let down!
  15. Btw when I say pagoda that is autocorrect for pagid!
  16. The brakes are good on the Nismo too but the more understeery balance and average potenza S001 tyres makes you think they're not as effective however...
  17. Re the new tyres did you change them for MPSS? Problem for me is the wear rates on the rears being much higher than the fronts, to the tune of 2mm currently
  18. Agreed in that it's probably a path better suited to the hobbyist, always seemed more hassle than its worth to me given all the ancillary improvements you need to make yo handle the additional power. Shedding weight probs not that easy or quick either...
  19. Indeed and henceforth I shall be known as "Lord Loadsamoney". Might be cheaper and easier to shed some weight from the car first? No bothersome, unreliable and high maintenance forced induction headache to worry about?
  20. In that case somebody needs to alert Herr Piech to a potential "margin expansion opportunity". 2 year / 24k mile service schedule then?
  21. can yo uclaim for the locks on house insurance or is the outlay less than the excess?
  22. The A45 AMG is pretty special and priced accordingly. I vividly recall one flying past me on my last nurburgring visit, at what could only be described as a "certain death" angle. 4WD and those wizard differentials are the automotive equivalent of rails it seems. Very cool car and I was in the market so a super premium hatch / 4 seats it's got to be up there. Looks and sounds much more menacing than anything from VAG too.
  23. Not only a fatter drop in absolute terms but probably also cost a fair bit more to run and insure over those 7-8 years? Still a better car for those with more money and happy to ride around in something ubiquitous.
  24. So about 23 hours longer than it takes to buy a GTR?
