  1. When you say centre panel, is that the plastic cover on the back?
  2. Already spoken to him. Wouldn't be able to make up the money with the rest of the wheel so declined. Can always buy the wheel and split yourself haha
  3. Bump... Can deliver anywhere between Bournemouth and Birmingham FREE OF CHARGE
  4. My girlfriend got the same thing and in fact she didn't owe them a penny (I'm not sure it's the same debt collection agency). She ignored it to let them doing all the chasing and work knowing that she doesn't owe them anything. Hasn't heard a thing since.
  5. Yep that's the job. There is a buying guide on the forum so just do a search and that will tell you all the things to look out for, good luck
  6. Third gear low revs, up a slight incline if you can. Could also park on hill, set handbrake and try pulling away with handbrake on. Just be aware that zed's naturally have a high biting point so that won't be a sign of clutch on way out. Also there is sometimes a very slight judder pulling away. That's normal too
  7. Thanks buddy, this has been a wondering of mine... I know the engines are good for 200k but was jus concered lil bit bout transmittion and clutches etc i presume most zeds close to 100k should have had a clutch/flywheel done? Clutches are funny as There's no particular mileage they will go. I think it depends a lot on how they have been driven. What I'm saying is that you could just as easily have a clutch go on a 40k car as a 90k car. Checking the clutch when you test drive is all you can go on really. A clutch, flywheel and labour will set you back in the region of £900. It is recommended to do fly with clutch. All that said, don't worry unless the clutch is slipping.
  8. Don't be put off by mileage too much. Service history counts for more!
  9. Saw captain Phillips and rush recently. Both very good films!
  10. I do special deal for you £250 buy back after forced to return?
  11. Fair play, I get the going against the grain bit. But seriously look at the power/torque you want to achieve and how you are going to do that. You will be spending big bucks on building the engine. If you are going to do it, build the engine AND supercharge/turbo charge it if budget permits. There's a reason why there is 'a grain' in this case.
  12. Not all cars from japan are imports. The 350z was also made for the uk market (hence uk car). Like someone said here, you can get a uk car for that price.
  13. I've always used the hcb batteries never had a problem. Having said that, the number of batteries I've had in my 9 years of driving are minimal
  14. Do you also run a bottle of injector cleaner, or 10K Boost, or EGR cleaner, or any one of other much more potent cleaners through the car system as well? They will make a billion times more difference than switching from supermarket to premium fuel will. Not saying I completely disagree with your logic: Indeed, I sometimes run a tank of 97 in the MR2 instead of the usual supermarket 95 for a similar reason, but then I also back that up with a good dose of the hard stuff once in a while. In my daily I do as that's mainly run off supermarket fuel so now and again I add injector cleaner and a tank of premium fuel. However as I use vpower all the time in the zed and I am confident on the quality and cleanliness of the fuel I do not feel a need to supplement that. I am assuming from your comment you've done some sort of experiment to prove this? Or at very least run your zed (when you had one) on vpower for a prolonged period of time and then put your additives in and immediately noticed a difference? The reason I use vpower is I believe through my own research that it is the most pure fuel you can buy from the pumps. And because of this reason, I feel there is no need to put additives in to the fuel tank of my zed.
  15. Normally Halfords batteries tend to be pretty good!
  16. 75kg!? That's heavier than me!! Holy moley that's a big dog! Great looking dog though
  17. But in reality we all know it never. Unless somebody can actually come up with some real facts instead of all this scaremongering carry on, this thread should end. Any fuel over 97ron will be fine for your car. End of. I use v power as my zed is a weekend toy. If it wasn't, I would use any super that was convenient. I do however, think it is important to run a non supermarket super now and again as that has extra chemicals on to clean fuel system.

  21. For sale is my original steering wheel off a 54 plate UK GT 350z. Removed because I purchased another wheel to get refurbished (without knowing the guy did a £50 exchange policy) DOH! Anyway priced at £99.99 ono. Postage is £12 next day recorded but can't send airbag due to the royal mail's policy on them. Has small scuff on bottom (don't notice it on the car) and the controls are a tiny bit marked as shown in the pics.
  22. Mine actually had a mark on the shaft and on the wheel also

    Buying a Zed

Is it in 18 months time you're looking to buy? I seem to remember a similar thread. Loads of buying guides on this forum
  24. My personal opinion is that a genuine nismo will hold it's value well. Just another consideration if you could find the cash. I still stand by the fact it is over priced though
