I’ve been toying with the idea of an R8 V8 manual to relieve my mid engine scratch due to the Audi build quality and reliability. I gave myself a talking after research. The last cars are coming up to 10 years old and as Payco posted earlier the suspension/brakes will cost a fortune to replace. Also clutch wear is horrendous on the manual cars and is obviously an engine out job(5k+). To frighten any potential owner even more it’s an engine out if the air con pump fails which incidentally was moved to a different position for the V10 model. Still hankering after hearing one on full chat wearing a Capristo system….

Got an invite to display the Z at The Supercar Weekend Beaulieu today. Cracking weather and lots to drool over. Going to arrange a meeting with admin as we need to up the game on our Club Stand! Lol

Sorry for yet another Renault Sport car. After the Trophy #151 which is a keeper I had a hankering for the best and even rarer colour 182 Racing Blue. Been beavering away in the garage this year and she is now in top condition after a stage 1 correction and swissvax Onyx polish. Bloody created another show Queen!

Good to see everyone today on the club stand. The event was a vast improvement on last year regarding weather, overall numbers and the quality of cars. A big thank you to Andy,Rick and Martin AKA the catering corp for the bacon rolls! Humpy and I spent ages drooling over this totally original one owner 1972 260C complete with the obligatory 8 track player. We need help!!

Ok guys. I think everyone that is going now has a club pass. Normally I’m not a fan of convoys to an event due to numbers involved and trying to find a suitable location for everyone travelling from all directions. On this occasion there is a pub with a big car park close to the venue which works as a meeting point wherever you have arrived from. The Royal Oak Beaulieu SO427YR Arrive 8am, Convoy in before 8.30. see you all on Sunday.
