  3. I priced on up from nissan a year ago and it was over 900quid and a long wait too
  4. the internals could be differant, with us been a ford dealer we see a lot of focus ST/RS, the engine in the focus st and rs is the same but the rs has a completly different set of internals differant intercooler and a differant turbo. yes it probably could make the extra power with a few small mods and a remap but like we have seen with the focus some of the ones over 300 bhp that have done a few thousand miles now are starting to have some problems while we have seen RS's tweeked to 350+ are still trouble free with 60k. I know its a completly differant car to the BMW but you just need to do some more research into what other differances there are
  5. Come see us a little further north then go for a blast on the north yorkshire moors
  6. It is quite common, you just didn't notice it before. As the oil moves around in the oil pan due to high g-forces (example in a long continuous high g turn) and it will slosh to one side of the pan away from the oil pick up causing short time oil starvation and oil pressure drop. It shouldn't cause any problem if it's only occasional and and it's not longer than a few sec. If you are doing frequent high g braking and cornering (like track days) than you should consider to fit a dry-sump system or a baffled oil pan. (A lots of different types/makes available for every budget.) +1
  7. bought my 20/25 mm spacers of cs they are spot on
  8. takes me right back to my physics A level days, proper fascinating stuff
  9. As said above try throttle body clean and reset as a first option, then Maf and check when spark plugs where last changed
  10. Absolutely, that's on the agenda. There's also a chrome cap with a zed logo on top so that's another option. Chrome Would go With the power steering and header tank better I think

  15. Tesco momentum fuel proven to increase horsepower ... Much like our everyday value burgers
  16. May I ask was that in situ and how did you do it? Ask that as there was some discussion at the recent Grasshopper meet about the best way to do that. And yes, your car is coming along very nicely In situ just removed the jdm cover and the hoses out of the way, would be easier if everything was removed I think but just required plenty of elbow grease ;-) A little more than elbow grease though........................? Dremel/hand tools/emery/metal polish etc? I did mine all by hand as my dremel is missing, I just did the usual finer and finer grades of sandpaper then megs metal polish
