  2. To avoid the textured finish, between coats using a very fine sand paper you can rub it down and build up the coats. This will give a smoother finish with a thicker coat
  3. +1 Blackwood is just up the road from me I still need to try a place in Caerphilly & my usual place in Cardiff (Auto Body Spray on City Road) +2 Looking to get new bumper and get my stuff touched up for the summer!

  8. The bloke I bought my Zed off popped up on there, he saying that he would have another one (just a UK GT model, and newer) I had a 2002 import.. but for sub 5k im not complaining!! Fantastic car for the money!!
  9. Horrible thing is, I have 2 pairs of cutproof gloves IN the zed, of course I chose not to wear them!! In A+E today, they had a funky little tool, burns a hole in finger nails to squeeze the blood out trapped underneath to reduce the swelling...massive pain relief!!! For the time being and next couple of jobs I need to do, I will get a garage to do it
  10. Haha, I got the jdm calipers so a bolt to release the top thing out of the way to pull the pads out! I guess it's kinda forcing me to walk to work now changing gear hurts like a bitch ha.
  11. Hang over hurts... but victory over the english on twickenham soil is worth it!! Try yes or no at the end?? If it was, flood would of had to convert it to equalise..and he ain't the best goal kicker now is he
  12. Well, I had fun on Saturday morning... Got the car up on the axel stands, wheels off... and then when trying to undo the bolts to release the calipers from the pads to change brake pads, the bolt was on tight, applying a big load with my ratchet, which then just suddenly turns very fast sending my hand flying and smashing into a sharp rusty piece of metal... Broken finger! So, after cleaning the blood and taping my finger up, decided not to let this stop me... Then I saw the brake pads I had were the wrong size Wheels back on, down tools... and get drunk watching the rugby and what a nice end to the day that was!!

  18. Ha, my catch is we have just got a puppy and he needs letting out on my lunch break, only get half hour so no way I can walk or cycle home and back and have lunch and sort the dog out in that time I guess when he is older and stops shitting in the kitchen he may be able to be left alone throughout the day... here's hoping!
  19. Going out for a drive for the sake of it is what the car is all about The temptation is just far too high!!
  20. I think it's the prospects that I will have to be spending about £800 sorting out my exhaust system too, along with insurance renewal soon.. just been doing figures and i'm out and about in it too much for my own good haha! Puts a smile on my face without fail
  21. Has anyone got any good money saving tips for using the zed? I have a 1 mile trip to work so immediate answer would be to walk / cycle. I feel that I get pretty awful fuel economy due to the amount of "urban" driving I have to do (and that loud pedal sounds so good!!!! ) Does anyone have any good money saving tips, I would like to get myself a shed but insuring that alongside the 350z and taxing it etc will probably be more expensive!! (Trying to save up for a mortgage so every penny counts )
  22. Think how I felt when I bought mine... I had a 1.0l Yaris for 4 and half years
  23. Spotted a Black 350Z GT4 (I think) coming up from under the bridge heading towards john lewis. Gave a !!
  24. I am insured through elephant (sister company to admiral) and not had any problems, I hope my quote will be affordable come renewal in april... not been looking great so far, fingers crossed!!!
