Mmmm good drive! im so happy it got dark at 8pm today - means there will be at least 3 hours of light after i get out of work. Went for a nice dive myself but no pics as i'm waiting on some bodywork repairs at the moment!

Mmmm looking good! Interested to see how this handles with so much weight taken out the back of the car - i'd imagine it might be a bit lively under braking. have you thought of shifting any of the front weight rearwards to try and even out the weight distribution?

Very nice! the rims aren't some ive seen before - but they're looking good! like the wrapped roof - considering wrapping mine, but a gloss black to mimic panoramic sunroof. only bad thing i would say, not sure about the eyelids, but each to their own!

id say they were trying to get you to buy better rubber - yes, the falkens are midrange tyres, but in all honesty, the zed isnt that fast... maybe stick with the premium stuff on your m3s, RS4s and porsches and like, but 280 is less than some hatchbacks these days. a set of four falkens would be about £500 fitted, and the difference between mismatched, on the limit, budget jobbies will be light years apart i'd give it a go selling the budget tyres on ebay - although id make it very clear that these are sold as seen, buyer to inspect fully before buying, no refunds, if in any doubt dont buy. I sold a pair a while back in good faith, but after the seller got them home his local tyre place said they wouldnt fit them, and so demanded a part refund - i gave it to him, but next time i'd have made it clear its a case of caveat emptor.

wheres the airbag fuse? cant you just take that out to disable the bags?

well looked after id say £7k-£7.5k... but remember, low miles isnt an excuse for poor servicing, should have been done yearly regardless of mileage

i would think a halfords filter will have better filtration than some branded ones, which can sacrifice filtration for higher airflow. the ideal would be a filter that has high airflow AND retains decent filtration of airborne dust and other nasties. only difference i see is that a halfords one will need replacing every year (as will an OEM filter) whereas branded ones can be cleaned and reused/reoiled and so suposedly save money in the long run. But overall, filter makes a small difference in performance - i'd be more worried about the oil - bigger difference there between halfords own brand and branded stuff as im sure you know

had an awkward moment this morning... pulled up to a crossroads just as the lights turned to red in the right turn lane, when a silver zed pulled up in the straight ahead lane next to me... cue awkward silence as i think, if i wave, and he doesnt, or even if he does, we'd then be sitting there next to each other awkwardly for the next 30 seconds waiting for the lights to change in the end, didnt do anything, but i think when the lights changed he held onto first that little bit longer as an acknowledgement!

hmm id go for falkens as well myself, ran them on two cars and was perfectly happy with them. How many miles are you doing a year? cos if its low, i'd get bridgestones to match the rears, and justify the price difference by the fact that they'll be lasting three years (in my case) before needing replacing.

nah, he cant make the wales meet, as hes coming up Ben Nevis with me! 4 members til me, and its just over 6 weeks away... timing could be perfect!
