  1. well looked after id say £7k-£7.5k... but remember, low miles isnt an excuse for poor servicing, should have been done yearly regardless of mileage
  2. he might have flashed you back
  3. i would think a halfords filter will have better filtration than some branded ones, which can sacrifice filtration for higher airflow. the ideal would be a filter that has high airflow AND retains decent filtration of airborne dust and other nasties. only difference i see is that a halfords one will need replacing every year (as will an OEM filter) whereas branded ones can be cleaned and reused/reoiled and so suposedly save money in the long run. But overall, filter makes a small difference in performance - i'd be more worried about the oil - bigger difference there between halfords own brand and branded stuff as im sure you know

looks like someone has smeared a lump of shaving foam across their boot.
  5. oh ive got no problem with nissan - anyone who knows cars that they've actually done great things for the everyday driver with the S-, R- and of course Z- lines keep the badges, just swap the fairlady to a 350z badge
  6. quickest sale ever? thats 2 minutes from original post to reply and sold! have to see how it looks on your car at the next meet Ian!
  7. just me then???
  8. swap for a 350 badge... i like admiring the rear 3/4 view of my car and thinking, 'yes, thats a 350z...' 'thats MY 350z' 'that 350z means 3.5 litres of V6 goodness...' >looks around car park< 'none of these other cars are 350zs...' 'but mine is, it says 350z on it...' ...and repeat
  9. had an awkward moment this morning... pulled up to a crossroads just as the lights turned to red in the right turn lane, when a silver zed pulled up in the straight ahead lane next to me... cue awkward silence as i think, if i wave, and he doesnt, or even if he does, we'd then be sitting there next to each other awkwardly for the next 30 seconds waiting for the lights to change in the end, didnt do anything, but i think when the lights changed he held onto first that little bit longer as an acknowledgement!
  10. hmm id go for falkens as well myself, ran them on two cars and was perfectly happy with them. How many miles are you doing a year? cos if its low, i'd get bridgestones to match the rears, and justify the price difference by the fact that they'll be lasting three years (in my case) before needing replacing.
  11. nah, he cant make the wales meet, as hes coming up Ben Nevis with me! 4 members til me, and its just over 6 weeks away... timing could be perfect!
  12. mmmmm shiny! Gonna love the noise - when i get a couple of quid the cobra exhaust is first on my list of mods!
  13. lol good work! must have been terrifying coming out of the box to be faced with four massive panthers! loving the fa cup pic
  14. awww i'm too tipsy to bother posting pics of cars... so, 1.4 Pug 306 (terrible) 1.8 Pug 306 (way better, had half leather seats and evrrything) 1.8 Mazda mx5 (awesome to drive, great with roof down, but in the end too slow) 3.0 TT 300ZX (total jap fest - tuned, chipped, running 330ish bhp. but rusty and eventually engine blew ) 1.6 civic vti (scremaing 8k red line, schizophrenic vtec engine but too slow off vtec) 350Z ( nice and torquey, comfortable, but not as fast as i was hoping - maybe i need the go faster effect of a loud exhaust)
  15. i've only had the zed a short while, but im 100% so far (1 from 1) that was subtle wave, rather than a flash, and certainly not a toot - too forceful in my opinion.
  16. mmmmm shameless pic whoring, i like! Looks like a gorgeous day for a drive
  17. done that! no preowned ones in at the mo, only new... gonna take it down a few body shop and get some quotes for repair, maybe...
  18. Hi all, Anyone got a front bumper and drivers side front wing sitting unused in the garage? someone has driven into me in the works car park and rather spoiled my day... I think she's admitted liability which is good, but annoyingly her R reg 106 has only suffered a cracked light cluster anyone got any advice on how best to repair? im thinking source at least a front wing (the bumper might be salvageable?), get a bodyshop to fit and then send her the bill? theres got to be plenty of wings and bumpers around in gunmetal, was a pretty common colour! Its for a UK car, 53 plate. Cheers Brillo
  19. sums it up nicely!
  20. looks very good! Cobra exhaust is high up on my list of mods to do - the car just sounds way too muted with the stock exhaust, and a weight saving is always a good thing!
  21. well when i first started getting into cars this was my dream, after seeing it on new top gear series 1... Noble M12 but after having sat in one im not so fussed anymore, although would be awesome on a track. So, current dream cars are: Aston Martin V12 Vantage Audi R8 GT Pagani Zonda F Roadster (the new Huayra thing is just pig ugly in my opinion)
  22. im going to go for this one.... not in a sarcastic way, but im hoping for something cool, ie delaminated tyres, brake discs glowing read hot, the chassis having stretched due to prolonged periods of supersonic travel...
  23. Haha sorry, you cant have one - most are driving the giant racetrack in the sky now either through rust or engine failure (mine was both) Still miss it though!
  24. What roads were they on? They do look stunning! I've got a scottish trip planned soon and looking for recommendations of roads to drive - we're travelling in a clockwise pattern from Glasgow up to fort william, back down to Stirling, and then round edinburgh, cross country and down to Carlisle.... any recommendations?
  25. (at above post) Sorry, that just sounds dirty!
