  1. I can't think of much more naff than if you drove around in a Nismo wearing a top with with Nismo on it!
  2. Some good restoration projects there!
  3. +1 The kit is excellent and has taken a good deal of the guesswork out of parking. It's not cheap but definitely worth the investment and avoids having to drill the bumper to fit sensors. Really good picture quality too.
  4. Looks very nice indeed!
  5. Will it be sold in the UK?
  6. Super cute!
  7. I've had a cheeky look online at the Motordyne system referred to by Tarmac in his earlier post (can't post a link at I'm at work and our web access has restrictions on things like You Tube). It looks and sounds like a very impressive system indeed. If I ever get bored of the Stillen and fancy a change it might well be the one I go for (not cheap though!).
  8. Unfortunately there is a fitment issue for some people with the Stillen and the Berks which leads to a nasty vibration. I don't think it affects every 370Z, as it seems to be a popular combination in the U.S, but it's held me back due to the potential hassle.
  9. Another vote for the Stillen. Sounds very nice without being completely mental. I've had compliments on the sound from people who've heard various different systems (e.g. Mark at Abbey). Not the most unobtrusive looking exhaust though - big shiny tips
  10. Congrats; post some pictures. I believe you are ok on the steering lock issue, as yours is a few months younger than mine and I was just outside the affected run of cars. There is a thread about it on here somewhere in which somebody posted the relevant range of numbers - have a search for that. All you need now is a new exhaust!
  11. Human nature isn't it (well in a modern consumer society). You bought something very significant, you're excited and chuffed about it, and you want to show it to people who you think will appreciate it.
  12. I'm in the 'like it' camp. Might well be on the list of contenders when I change cars in a couple of year. Hopefully there will be some decent low mileage examples to look at.
  13. Yeah - pretty bleak - I think I noticed on her comments that she lives in Alaska.
  14. Pretty amazing to have this on your doorstep............
  15. I remember playing GTA 3 for the first on PS2 and being awed by the freedom it gave you. I hope they've sorted out some of the long running faults though like the less than ideal combat.
  16. Can't see much of it being enforced regularly though. I would especially like to see more done to people who use mobiles. I see so much of that its untrue. I know they've upped the fine but there needs to be more active enforcement because at the moment a lot of people clearly don't think they will get caught.
  17. That's true. It's actually quite a surprise in London if they stop at lights, aren't in Lycra and don't nearly kill you on a crossing. You almost feel like giving them a thumbs up just for obeying the rules
  18. Not fussed about the tax, just wish they would obey the rules of the road and use cycle lanes when they're available. When I was a kid in the 80s riding a bike was something you did for casual fun. Now it seems to have become some macho culture thing. All that ill fitting Lycra and insisting on riding two abreast in the main lane, even when there's a cycle lane, just seems weird to me.
  19. Great - probably not an issue for you then mate - good luck with it - not much chance you won't love the 370
  20. I used to own a White 370Z so am fairly well qualified to tell you that you will fall in love with it when you see it. Although I prefer the Quartz Black Edition personally, they do look good in white. Since it's a 2010 car, it probably has the Connect Premium sat nav and it looks to have rear parking sensors, which is a bonus. There is one issue to be aware of with some of the white cars. It may or may not bother you, depending on how much of a pedant you are, and how much it affects the car in question (apparently it was also an issue on some white GTRs): For some reason, the mismatch in colour between the plastic bumper and metal bodywork that affects most cars to some extent can be very noticeable on some white 370Zs. Mine was particularly noticeable on the rear bumper with the colour looking almost a creamy brown in some lights (it shows much less in sunny weather). The mismatch looked so noticeable at times that it used to bug me a lot and I was contemplating having the bumpers resprayed when I decided buy my current car. You can find plenty of stuff about this issue on the web (I posted on here about it some time ago but I haven't got time to find the post right now). I believe Nissan even offered replacement bumpers for some GTRs due to this issue. I'm not trying to rain on your parade at all but it's just worth being aware of this issue in case it would come to bother you over time (if it affects the car you are interested in).
  21. Oh great! This thread has given me something else to worry about
  22. Here's my thread on the camera. I think you need the Connect Premium version of the Sat Nav for it though. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/69820-some-new-modsreversing-camera-and-kick-plates/
  23. I'm not defending the policeman, but if I came back to my car to find a cop standing over it writing a ticket, common sense would tell me that just trying to get in and drive away as though nothing was happening is probably going to get his back up and lead to the situation escalating. After all, the police in any country don't tend to react well when their authority is challenged or undermined.
  24. +1 If you physically see the car, another way to tell the difference is that earlier versions have an analogue connector for Ipods etc in the centre cubby. The Connect Premium cars have a USB connection (the main difference being that you can control the Ipod via the Sat Nav screen and buttons, whereas in the older version the music will play fine but you have to select songs actually on the Ipod itself (and you get no track listings etc. on the Sat Nav screen.). By far the quickest way to tell is to see if has post code search. If so then its Connect Premium.
  25. I'd also suggest Megs Ultimate Compound, which you can use by hand via a sponge applicator or a cloth. As with all such products, take it easy because if you overdo it you could make any defect worse. In theory, it should be removable if it hasn't gone through the lacquer (which would be incredibly bizarre for bird poop!). Alternatively, see if someone who details cars for a living in your local area can have a look at it.
