ZSPEED UNDERTRAY GROUP BUY - YOU NEED ONE !!
ChrisB replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
Hmm. Tempted.. I'm not overly happy with my bodged s/c pipe cutout on my plastic undertray. This appears to have the clearance gaps already in the right place, so would be a lot nicer.. And the Bitch has one... count me in! 1: Kingrob 2: Russ 3: ChrisB -
Some jolly nice clutch and exhaust related and other bits and bobs received. Excellent service from Ewan - communication 5/5 stars

Seems to nearly work fine on my gen 3 iPad. I downloaded and left it installing on the drive home - about 45mins, then took the dogs out for a quickie. Finally got to the setup screen after about an hour. Yes the autospell is a bit weird. I am not sure why it is requesting autofill password when typing into this blatantly non password box either..

Just a quick consensus - Braided Brakes & Clutch Lines
ChrisB replied to N4eay's topic in 350Z General
If you decide to stick with EBC, yellows are much better than reds. Braided brake lines are excellent, clutch is more of a maintenance upgrade (IMHO) -
I can only see wins if you moved to the place above. Savings in petrol should cover most bills. Transport/trailer the zed to the new parking spot out side the house. Assuming it is not on street, SORN it and walk to work. Life will be sweet

House share with some mates if you can - you have to move out at some point. If the house is right you can keep the Zed too. Fledging the parental nest is the best thing ever (although I moved out to go to Portsmouth Uni/Poly at 19 in 1984 - it would have been cheaper, but still relatively expensive, back then). Then continue to house share at different phases in life until you can buy Edit: ^^ I see Coldel beat me to it

Is it like a half state you get with passenger door locked but driver open (except for boot operation) for anti-theft or snatch when you are a single person at, say, a petrol station and not in a position to lock the door (ie you are getting in)? Certainly seems like a feature, although probably more useful for vulnerable females in lawless America?

...especially the GT Spartan JDM

Lol. He's a good dog. I'm glad your wife likes him He's (rescued) from Wales too believe it or not Not that he didn't like Wales or we abducted him - he loves it on trips there, he just didn't like the family he was a puppy with. We've had him since 9 months. He's now 11 years old. Cats are 300 cell resonated stainless with 2 extra bungs. Shiny (but not unnecessarily so ). http://www.fastintentions.com/product_info.php?cPath=41_45_51_52&products_id=104

I quite like nearly all the Auto Glym range personally (except the tyre stuff - Megs gel is definately better) For example, SRP is excellent for general purpose polishing, and I've never noticed a problem with two caps of body shampoo with the TBM. If it weren't for the Halfords image factor, and it was only available through specialist retailers, I for one would probably not notice the difference to expensive brand stuff as a non-expert car cleaner. Then again Halfords makes it easy to pop in and buy when the bottles run out. All good in my opinion

You would think RAMPAGE! but perhaps the IS 'tards have a Russian Roulette thing going on practising videoing lots of times but only sometimes using the knife, giving a false sense of hope to the captive?

Well it's been all quiet on the Western front with my Z campaign of late. No time off work, waiting for deliveries and also I've been having lots of first world issues with a totally unresponsive Photobucket account for a while. Slow login, "account investigated for maintenance" messages, >10min refresh, blah-de-blah. Thankfully PB in mobile form is starting to work better again. Free stuff eh? Anyway, enough of that, I can put in a quick update while waiting for Ocado to turn up - the ultimate defence against supermarket rage and door ding angst ..oh and these metal marvels turned up I had a bit of an issue with a Stillen Y (Friday afternoon) flange though But application of file smoothed it off ok (excuse the lint) The Fast Intention metal is beautifully machined stainless however I will look forward to having those fitted when the new clutch/fly (Competion Clutch kit 6072-2100 with ST fly) goes on. I will be using a local garage for the fitting (Japex if they see my emails ) to avoid too much ball ache. Also, fitting locally will give me a running in grace period before the final tuning power madness. So back to easy stuff, my JDM spec battery was getting a bit limp wristed, so I got a new on (Tab 068). Much bigger.. but it still fits, although I will have to change the top retainer strap. Upside down is not a permanent fix, even though the new battery fits square in the tray I also spent a reasonably pleasant couple of hours fixing a nagging rear drop links issue. When I changed roll bars last year, I discovered that the rear links had been done up by a gorilla. Nothing would budge the top flange-nut, and no socket tools, wrenches or spanners appeared to be the right length to apply sufficient torque.. I was too impatient to re-attack the nuts when I had the springs off for MeisterR fitting, so left the links as they were fine at the time. Over last winter, I got the creakiness starting so I decided to have another go. Queue brainwave - undo the hanger bolts then hacksaw the old links off. Easy peasy! On go the uprated links I bought last year. I tarted up the hanger a bit too I get complaints though*. Daddy, why are you outside so much and not spending time with me? Did I do something wrong? *Not really. He's fine about it

Is that your headlight leveller sender? I have a JDM so don't have one.. UK do though. Hoo-rah..
-
Glad you are seeing a positive side though
-
Hoo-rah ! Although, go easy on the dog You'll be so happy having survived the battle of droplink, you'll feel peace and victory break out. Beer is a good complement to that

I might give this a whirl too if your tests turn out well - PhotoBucket seems too take an age to load or give links sometimes. Also Photobucket delays make it pants if trying to post on here sometimes - but great when it works. First world problems with free stuff eh?
-
Lol. Had a similar experience with mine - top nuts done up previously by a gorilla, easy to look at but poor tool access, never the right socket extension, stuck solid, rounded etc.. I found it much easier to take the hangers off though, as they were done up by Nissan, then bit the bullet and proceeded to cut off the old links from the hangers - also not too hard although I really should buy a vice for my garage ..balancing and cutting on the end of up turned car ramps jammed into the garage door runner is wobbley.. Everything is torqued back to a happy 50-60 Nm too. None of that jungle stuff on my car Mine ended up like this (I also painted the hangers)

Auto is a momentary press button that enables and disables your electric mirror tilt feature. This activates tilt when in reverse (motor running/ignition on). You may also have fold under control of your remote alarm. Note arm rest switches must be in power to mirrors position - not centre - else nothing happens for fold. The little red button *might* be your JDM / SVA rear fog light switch. Lights need to be on the enable this. SVA requirements for fog lamps result in various switch types being installed. Mines is a rocker that is easy to catch with my knee Ignore the toll card thing - completely useless.
