  1. If you get stuck let me know and I can price up the real deal with discount
  2. I think the point of the sump bung is to collect the engine wear. It should keep the oil cleaner for longer and collect the bits of metal in one place so it doesn’t lurk around the oil ways. TBH I haven’t seen one in action on a 350, but I have on other cars with a lot of build-up on the bung whern removed. It wouldn’t hurt let’s put it that way Below is a link with the service sheet on it if that helps too http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=169&t=51586
  3. Plus you can get some great bargains too, on cars you wouldn’t normally even look at! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/search/used/cars/bentley/postcode/ts185pu/radius/1501/price-to/500/sort/priceasc
  4. "Did you say tonic Water?" Not seen that in years They were on SeeSaw recently - Ha, ha!! Hemi Henderson's exploding tonic water! "Is there anything better than living above an Off Licence"? "Yes, Living in one!!" Class
  5. Not really with you on the Volvo, and to be honest I used to own a 1968 144S, so nothing against the brand, but the police put me off, as every time I saw one of those the blue lights were flashing - nuff said! Totally with you on the Fiat, I remember when they first came out and thinking this is back to the bold Pininfarina styling of the 60's & 70's Don’t get me started on the DS! I would love a Black one of these. Fell in love with them when I first saw “Mr Jolly Lives Next Door†and the car that Peter Richardson drove was fantastic Great taste Sir!
  6. A slight http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=53120
  7. Yes to both, but it will be Wednesday now as I am away from work tomorrow
  8. Weirdly I am sure that Mercedes have a big switch in the cockpit which is for Towing which disables the alarm. I dunno cars these days are too patronising
  9. It an odd one you would have thought there would be a way to disable the alarm an just leave an immobilizer and a locked car!!
  10. Hi Chris I have had a word with the Workshop foreman here, still a bit inconclusive, but I have some info. Firstly we haven’t had any issues with customers complaining about crossings on ferry with the alarms going off However there is a couple of things you could try. The key in the driver’s door, rather than the plip, but we could figure about how you would test this theory You can disable the sensors in the car, there is a procedure in the handbook that covers this. In fairness we think it’s more for dogs as the sensors wouldn’t cover vibration which presumably is the problem with a ferry crossing. Lastly and the most lateral of the thoughts, would be to remove the shunt fuse a-la how the car comes on a transporter from the factory, BUT, again don’t know how to test the idea and it will upset any settings you have done and you may lose the radio code! Sorry there is nothing definite Good luck T
  11. Subject to chassis confirmation We could do them (6x) for £75 incl VAT but even so
  12. If it makes you feel any better this is a dumpr from the Black Cap Book valuation of that car. IMO what you see there needs to be at 50% valuation as a pre bent car NISSAN 350Z COUPE 3.5 V6 3dr (2003), 2005 55 , 64,000 Miles Mileage Retail Clean Average Poor 5,000 11250 9450 9050 8475 20,000 10595 8775 8350 7750 40,000 9725 7900 7475 6875 64,000 8775 6950 6500 5950 80,000 8175 6350 5900 5375 100,000 7550 5725 5300 4800 120,000 6925 5075 4675 4200
  13. Get it as original as possible for a sale especially if it’s a part ex. The more questions a dealer is asked or presented with, the less confidence they have, and then the car gets cheaper. Another rather unpleasant fact of life I’m afraid
  14. For what it’s worth, I don’t really think this car is worth the money as a CAT C There are nicer cars that are "straight" on this forum, for not much more. If you wanted a cheap car to convert to a track car then fair enough but as a road car, taking in to consideration the issues with insurance and greater difficulty in selling the car in years to come, I think the overall economics would point towards a better loved car. Let’s not forget you have to do some pretty serious damage to a car of this age an mileage to end up with a CAT C As a dealer, like it or not, if we were presented with taking this car in Part Ex, the value would be halved.
  15. Why not, we are fighting two in the middle east already, but the prices arent coming down
  16. Sorry for my ignorance, but I thought a MIFI unit was something completely different Seriously, I dont know what that is.........
  17. Thanks everyone I will prat about with it tomorrow
  18. Need the mileage too please and I can do it in the morning for you. If you want a hard copy email me at Toby.Cooper@evanshalshaw.com and I will reply with an attachment
  19. Thanks Mr Rev. I have had a look at that, but some of the functionality isn’t on my phone as described on the phone on the blog i.e. the my hotspots. Have you got the latest software on your devices. I think you will need 4.3 on the iphone as a minimum Yes all that but I only run a 3GS dunno if that would make difference
