  1. crikey yet another item to buy!!! i see what the other guy did though, as its only one wire input into the adaptor, he just connected it directly to the adaptor without the plug
  2. i have the adaptor yes, but i looked at a thread by someone who has recently fitted this unit and just wired directly from the labelled wire to the adaptor 'box', i havent a clue what should plug into that lil black box or where that wire would go if not that box, confuzzled !
  3. Tried to fit my new JVC head unit, im stuck at where to attach the steering wheel remote from the HU to the adaptor black box, as there is a multi pin socket any ideas? cheers
  4. ok cheers mate Ive been looking for ages to find out which pin it is, i'll try a new post thanks!
  5. which pin on the steering wheel control adaptor did you attach the steering wheel control wire from the head unit? cheers
  6. i think ive solved one problem, ive been sent the non-bose adaptor, hence the lack of RCA leads which really confused me! So order one of those instead. Only other issue if anyone can help, the HU has a steering wheel remote lead, but where in the adaptor kit does it connect to? all the instructions say is connect to hands free adaptor...there's a multi-pin socket for one lead!
  7. Attempted to fit this head unit today, along with a wiring adaptor from car audio direct. There is power but no sound whatsoever. I have the BOSE system, with the skipping track madness (which forced me to get a new head unit) Any ideas please?
  8. well dereham tescos is the biggest attraction in the area, so who knows!
  9. i'llbe looking for a k2 replacement as i just got Berk Cats and Stillen Y pipe
  10. does the reception suffer?
  11. i think a few people have tried, but no one commits to actually going, well not enough to make it a 'meet' the roads here are so congested, id i didnt have 280bhp i would never be able to make an overtaking move...gawd bless the 350 I was on the A47 roundabout in kings lynn, some polish lorry cut me up as he realised he was going to miss his junction, i parped the horn of course, and he gave me two middle fingers!! imean wtf?? i seem to attract morons in this car, do you guys have the same ?
  12. are there any meets up this part of the woods? ive seen at least 5 350's and a couple of GTR's
  13. there are 3 Z's in the Marham area, if you go on the A47 to Kings Lynn you'll often see one of us!
  14. what work was required to fit the headers? some think its an engine out job, some think it can be done in situ
  15. you're ears must bleed with that lot and the k1!
  16. i since learned of their reputation post fitting, but the quality is good on my example, sounds good too, the engineer who fitted it commented on how good the welding was, maybe they have improved? but only time will tell
  17. I should clarify the 'concoction', currently its OEM to the Y-pipe, then its Japspeed K2, already sounds nicer than stock, so will update when the new parts are fitted. Still running stock intake and no other mods at the moment, although an Uprev re-map is next.
  18. im not fitting it alone, i have a deal with the local garage who let me join in with the work for a slight discount, plus i get to learn a thing or two. I'll take a picture of the lot when fitted, maybe a video just for the sound if anyone wants to know what that concoction of parts is like!
  19. Its a Tarmac plastic bag, so will probably make the car faster ! Cheers again Mr Tarmac
  20. I have a Japspeed k2 back box and centre pipe fitted, i know they havent got a good reputation on here and i didnt know that before i fitted them, but in all fairness it sounds nice and seems good quality...only time will tell Just received a set of Berk HFC's and Stillen Y-pipe from Tarmac, will let you know what the lot sounds like when fitted, i think i must be the first on here with this overall configuration?
