I have a droning noise coming from the rear, appears around 35mph and speeds up in pitch faster i go. Does this sound like a worn bearing? If so, where the hell can i get one, been trawling for days on the net, only ones i can find are scrappers! i dont think a used bearing would be a good idea! Thoughts? magic solutions? 3 wishes? Jay

wouldnt the noise be there all the time if it was a bearing? but don't worry i have you on my list for CV joints to get rid of that clicking!

well its on the to do list, but if anyone else experiences this , would be useful to add to the database i also have the imfamous 'click' but that one seems an easy fix. oh and the dropping drivers side window.... and i've been using 95ron ...silly me

Hi all again Ive looked through all the threads, but can't find an obvious solution for this issue. At speeds approaching 40mph, you can hear a droning cyclic noise ( getting slightly louder/quieter ). Comes from the rear.... now obvious worry is diff or bearings, but shouldnt these make noises all the time if knackered? One thing i did notice , is both rear tyres are different make and totally different tread. Do you zedperts think this is the cause? ( zedperts... like it?...experts for (350)Z...geddit? ...ill shut up)

so in essence, get all the stage one mods, then go for the stage 2 type mods, i can dig that the standard sound isnt bad i must admit, my lil nephew was wanting to see the zed, i turned the engine over and the lil lad jumped back a bit when you get that initial 'roar' , so i applaud the standard sound.....its just a pity when driving slowly you dont get the really nice growl until about 4-6000 rpm, i was driving it alonf yorkshire dales lanes, which have the high stone walls, really hear the grrrr then

i do apologise for being a nube, its the same with each forum im on, its finding the people to best deal with it, like the RS comments, looked on thier website and no 350 on the car list, but if you guys say they do, ill enquire properly. I read the japspeed k2 thread, seems a good balance .... does anyone here have heavy second gear? i tried a 0-60 type drive , i struggled to get past a mondeo that set off just in front of me, ....admittedly the traction control did jump in ... but one thing i am impressed with is in-gear power delivery, i had a 3.2 GTV alfa romeo before, i thought that was pokey in gear, but 350z much nicer. also, a bit off-topic, but if i use auto on my driver window, it drops back down half way after reaching the top, plus it has an annoying rattle in the door when i do inch it to the top, im assuming its raising too far and dropping back as if somthing is caught in the window...any experience here? oh yeah, that sound system is pretty amazing, my kidneys get a good work out with that bass speaker !

well suppliers then what does this plenum spacer achieve? who best for remap? i looked at RS and they dont even list the 350z as an option.. exhaust...somthing growlier without being ear bleeding.. and air intake...whats best?

ok so i have a stock 2004 350z , i have 1k spare for performance upgrades, excluding styling issues...what shall i do? I love the in-gear power, a little dissapointed at the 0-60 type performance, seems to be all noise and nowhere near as much speed as it feels.... so what shall i do?

So to 'up-rev' the vehicle....how do i go about this? is it along the lines of a re-map? or is it a separate modification? are there any internal aerials that can be recommended to remove the stubby external one? I am welsh, but im in the forces, so spend most time long distances away from the fatherland, so looking for meets more alonf the south and east of england at the moment. many thanks

hi all, ive taken the plunge and bought a low milage 2004 350z. Any suggestions on sensible changes, upgrades from you experts would be greatly appreciated. I was a GTV V6 owner previously and was hooked, but not hooked on thier suprising and ingenious ways of breaking on me. So far, i am impressed with stock performance, meaty handling and sound from the engine....so what should my future 350 plans be?
