  1. 47k miles There's been a few signs that it hasnt been looked after, when i got it the gearbox oil was like Marmite, as was the Diff oil, only the engine oil was ok when i changed it, i changed the aux belts too, they were cracked more than David Dickinsons face!
  2. i read some other threads that suggested 160-170 was the norm, for my engine at least, but of course im open to correction! the plugs by the looks of them were original! i had a bad burning smell under heavy acceleration before i changed them, now the smell has gone, so i think they were in a really bad state! other option is to get the engine out and strip...expensive!
  3. well of course i'll take them off first, i'll get the garage to use the air line to wire brush them off and i'll find some anti rust treatment
  4. oh and my Crapspeed K2 backbox is rusting very quickly its only a few months old too!
  5. those colours almost gave me a fit! any type of paint you recommend? Hammerite?
  6. noway...i have a run where i check my mpg where i do a constant 60mph cruising, its dropped from about 38 to about 34 mpg, still not too shabby but hopefully a sign the car is horsier than before!
  7. After installing some nice shiny exhaust parts, i have two parts of the car, the subframe and some sort of brace or bracket that are rusty, as you can see in the pic... What's the best way of dealing with this? I was thinking brush off as much rust as possible then maybe coating in some hard wearing paint?
  8. well i just done a 26 mile run, ive noticed my mpg has dropped, but maybe cos ive got some extra ponies back?

    2004 LSD

I have a fully serviceable LSD from a 2004 350z. It has approx 46k miles. Looking for offers around £150ish
  10. well compression test done, all cylinders running approx 11 bar, or about 160Psi, cylinder 1 was very slightly less, cylinder 6 was very slightly higher, so sounds pretty normal thankfully. But nearly all the spark plugs were caked up and showing breakdown at the white insulation part of the plug, had them replaced and now the car feels much smoother, even the engineers thought it wasnt firing properly as the engine would 'jump' during idle, which has now gone. Gave it some beans and i think its better power pick up, feels so lower down, much smoother too, i wonder what the dyno would show now? Also the burning smell i reported when giving it full beans has now gone, so gasses must have been escaping via the plugs. So good news, now the next mods
  11. easy easy chaps, this is my thread and i'll have no bad juju...! any more of it and i'll just have to give you all a good stern frown......you've been told!
  12. i wonder what the insurance difference is like with a supercharger fitted? hmmmm
  13. no idea, this is my first outing with a the 350z crew!
  14. yeah ive seen those at Cosworth, not cheap!!
  15. please add me for that, i will go down friday evening and spend sat night there, i cant book accom at the moment, but i will find other accom if there's nothing available when i phone tomorrow
  16. i would honestly like that, but its all the other bits you need to buy to go with it, all adds up, if i was that rich i'd just buy an R8 !
  17. where when and how much, id love an excuse to get back to wales
  18. i couldnt find those Nismo heads, do you have a link?
  19. of course, im not as dumb as i look lol, i am always looking to the future! a good commander always has back up plans
  20. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thankyou for that, you learn something every day! even my garage engineer who isnt a 350z specialist said, that he reckons the intake side of things is very restrictive , sooo a new thing to buy, a 06 air box !
  21. well i was going for one with a decent heat shield, but the car is growly enough, in fact at 2000rpm the cabin noise is a little too much with this set-up, i might seek a non resonating centre pipe at some point! but what's a velocity stack and PPF? everytime i think im starting to know this car , Zaman puts me back in my box lol
  22. i had already ordered the spacer before i was advised to have the compression test done, so eagerly awaiting the results! if its a piston ring, i'd best get my pocket money ready
